From the welcome at the desk, the ladies were lovely and made a good first impression. We stayed in the mansion house, which I would highly recommend as it had beautiful views and lovely cozy rooms. The breakfast was very good and it was a lovely space. Even with two weddings happening on the two nights we stayed, and a team away day, it didn't seem overbooked or crowded. The standard of care did not drop and Domingo, (I hope I got his name right 🥴) one of the managers I believe, was an absolute gem! He was very personable and made the trip just that little bit more special.

Beautiful grounds, nice, clean rooms and great facilities. Breakfast was very good and staff were all friendly and approachable.

Lengthy check in process on late check in. Had previously made arrangements with the hotel and still took 10-15 minutes to check in due to computer issues. Was given vague directions to our accomodation (in a separate building from reception) and no parking was available when we got there. Also charged an extra £50 on top of room rate, and only told it was a pre-authorisation charge when questioned the next morning. I'm OK with these being charged but would prefer I'm told up front rather than having to question charges on my card after the fact.

Wow, the location was amazing! The staff especially the lady on breakfast were so friendly ( that's how you do customer service). The place itself is imposing and grand but the friendliness of the team makes it have a non-pretentious feel. Breakfast itself is one of the most impressive I have experienced.

Taking all of our luggage out of the car to be told we were not in the main building, so had to put it all back in again...after a long day and check in at 9.30 pm this was a bit frustrating but the lady on the desk did try to resolve it by asking if my daughter and I would share a double bed then we could stay in the main part...unfortunately we didn't really want this. The rooms for such a beautiful place are a bit devoid of character. The bathrooms are outstanding, but the rooms themselves are really bland ..the only thing letting down a full score.

One-night stopover for a nearby wedding the next day. Set in lovely grounds, good for a morning run before breakfast. Rooms clean, comfortable and the suite we had in the Mansion House building was big. The double was also of good size. Staff very friendly - especial thanks to Ellen who checked us in and was very helpful in making sure my mum got a room next to us even though we'd booked her into a different block (without realising). Decent breakfast.

Main Wokefield Place building has clearly had a lot of money spent on it, but does look and feel a bit like an airport terminal. Mansion House building has a bit more soul to it. Dinner was OK - French twist to the menu but didn't feel like it was cooked with a lot more skill or love than the breakfast buffet the next morning tbh.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this gorgeous estate. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations. The grounds are stunning, the property is impeccably maintained, and the staff were exceptionally polite, kind, and welcoming. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a room in the mansion house, which was such a treat—highly recommended. A beautiful personal touch was a letter addressed to me waiting in the room. The hotel is incredibly well-equipped, offering everything from golf, tennis, and a pool to a luxurious spa, restaurants, and bars. The rooms are spacious and spotless, with elegant décor and luxurious Penhaligon’s Halfeti toiletries. Breakfast was varied and delicious, and having access to coffee and water anytime was a lovely convenience. For me, this hotel was the perfect base for Royal Ascot—just a short drive away. After the excitement and bustle of the races, returning to this peaceful oasis was ideal. The unique combination of race-day atmosphere and the tranquil luxury of the estate made the whole experience feel truly special. Honestly, I’m amazed this hotel only has 3 stars—it far exceeds that in every way: style, service, comfort, and overall experience. My only regret is not having more time to enjoy everything the estate has to offer. I would return in a heartbeat and really, really recommend it.

beautiful driveway with surrounding grounds on approach, very well tended.. Excellent and easy check in, found the room comfortable and well equipped on arrival we booked for the restaurant but the time offered was rather late so we opted for a bar meal, which was tasty, well presented and reasonably priced. the breakfast offerings were exceptional we accidentally left our phone chargers in the room and 'phoned to ask the staff if they had found them. Not only did they find them, but Tej on reception went above and beyond and arranged for them to be delivered to a De Vere closer to our home. many thanks to Tej and to Dan for delivering them

there is redecoration going on in the hotel so the route we were advised to get to our room was much longer than necessary, and it was via the outside in torrential rain - to be fair I am not sure if the receptionist would have been aware of the weather ! bathroom bin had not been emptied and was full so a bit disappointing. the wait for breakfast tables was massive, but there was nothing the staff could have done to alleviate this.

Staff were excellent. Room was pretty good. Although classed as an accessible room a wheelchair user would struggle to use it. Even with a carer.

The biggest issue we're the other guests. Letting thier children play outside until gone 10pm right outside the rooms. Adults playing football in the same quadrant area, including hitting the windows. And late at night could hear groups of drunken idiots running up n down the halls and slamming room doors! Guess that's an unfortunate side effect of having huge wedding parties stay after nuptials in the Manor House.

This hotel is beautiful with all areas exceeding expectations - the grounds were particularly lovely. The staff were very helpful and accomodating. The breakfast was delicious.

A few very minor things - the pool opened at 7 but you needed to sign in at the gold club first. Staff were running a bit late - it didn't matter too much as I wasn't in a time crunch and the staff were still very friendly. The room was very clean apart from the hairdryer was a bit dusty at the back filter, and the phone in the room was also a bit dusty. At the pool, the facilities were clean overall, but there was a big clump of hair on one of the shower walls. These are all minor things but constructive critisim for the future.

We had such a lovely stay! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully presented. The team went above and beyond—everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. A special thank you for the thoughtful birthday treats left in the room for my mum—it was such a lovely surprise and really made her day! The bar and restaurant were also fantastic, with a great atmosphere and a wide range of food and drink options. Highly recommend—we’ll definitely be back!

Breakfast was so busy and noisy and long queue to get coffee

Room was very comfortable. Plenty of choice and plenty to eat for breakfast. The dinner and breakfast was Aof a good quality.

Evening dinner was rather spoilt by a group of rowdy men (golfers???) occupying a side room. Despite several requests of staff and restaurant manager to get it “toned down” it took a while (20 minutes) before the situation was resolved by closing the doors between the side room and the main dining room. This could have been done as soon as the first complaint was made. Additionally there was a bit of a mix up about paying the dinner bill. My group had pre ordered and were expecting their dinner bills to be charged to their rooms. However at the end of the meal we were presented with one bill for the whole group. In fairness to the restaurant manager although it took a bit of time he did resolve the situation by providing us all with individual bills.
