I just can't find a thing to criticise with the New Inn.  My hubby and I travel up from the West Country frequently and have stayed at many hotels from the most humble to a few more luxury.  New Inn is up there with the best. Booking in and out  on line makes things simple.  The room we had was large, cosy, warm, pristine clean and beautifully decorated with matching furniture that was in keeping with the age of the building.  The large radiator actually worked (many haven't leaving us freezing cold) and the shower room was modern, again pristine with a fantastic rainwater shower, white fluffy towels, lovely toiletries, tissues and a heated towel rail.   Attention to detail in the hotel is amazing.  They've thought of everything. Being in the country, you get an amazingly peaceful sleep in a super comfy bed and awake to a gorgeous view of sheep in the field opposite. We didn't have dinner as we met with friends and family but if breakfast is to go by, then dinner must be good.  We have previously dined in the hotel when we lived in the area but had no idea the accommodation was so good.  Plus it didn't break the bank, unlike some others.  Can't recommend enough.  Congratulations to the owners for getting everything right. The staff were super friendly, nothing seemed too much for them. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was incredibly clean. The food was excellent, with a great selection to choose from and good value for money. The staff checked regularly if anything else was required. Breakfast service started at 7am, as I was travelling for work I had to leave by 7.15am, in order that I did not miss out they took my order the night before and arranged for it to be prepared prior to the start of service and it was with me bang on 7am.

Rooms are very clean and spacious, the food in the restaurant is excellent. The staff were very polite and friendly and the service in the bar and restaurant was first class. I stayed here as I wanted to be close to Farnborough which was only 20 mins away by car. I would definitely recommend this hotel, it’s was rated as 2 star which doesn’t do this place justice. I found my visit relaxing and stress less after a long day at work. I enjoyed it so much I’ve already booked the hotel for my next two trips to farnborough.

From moment of arrival, Laura and her staff were exceptional and very welcoming. We were in area for local event and wanted a comfortable homely and relaxing place to stay. We had a meal in the evening which was delicious and beautifully presented. Room was great size, very clean and bed soo comfy. Great nights sleep in a really quiet and spacious room, breakfast was tasty and we had a great choice. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and would go back in a shot. The inn is also going through a refurb in some areas to keep standards high.

Unfortunately I spilt coffee!! Because I’m extremely clumsy! I cleaned up with towels from the bathroom, as I didn’t know what else to use. This resulted in an £85 cleaning charge, which was I thought steep. I would like to say it’s the first time I’ve spilt a drink in a hotel room! It isn’t, but is the first time I’ve been charged a cleaning fee! Maybe I’ve just been lucky in the past, but it was just a coffee stain.

We got a very warm welcome when we arrived at The New Inn, the room which I booked was excellent as was the bathroom with a super walk in shower also loved the tiles, not your usual white but green with a palm print feature wall in the shower. We had 2 excellent evening meals in the restaurant and also breakfast each morning great choice of cooked to order menu. Will definitely be staying here again.

From the welcome, to the beautiful room, to the very comfortable bed, the waterfall shower, the freshly cooked to order breakfast, the professionalism of this lovely place shines through. It is without doubt an excellent place to stay and we will be back soon. In fact we are already looking forward to it.

Absolutely nothing. It is all first rate.

Breakfast was exceptional for the price. I enjoyed the Full English, and it was clearly made from quality ingredients. Extra coffee and tea were no bother. No rush either to leave my table once finished. The staff were friendly and happy to chat. As a solo traveller, I'm often put in a small and pocky room. Room 4 was spacious and extremely well presented. Comfortable bed, which is a must for any stay! The Bar area was welcoming and again with friendly staff and locals. I chose the homemade burger for my evening meal, which was thoroughly delicious. All-in-all, an excellent stay!

A little extra care in the bathroom regarding head hairs but otherwise spotless. The windows, when open, the frame full of dirt, no biggy but nicer if were clean. Addressed with the staff, and they were grateful for the feedback.

Warm welcome, exceptionally friendly staff, rooms very clean and spacious. Breakfast gave plenty of choice and was very well cooked. Rooms are part of a great pub serving a variety of drinks and roaring fires with arm chairs to relax in. We would thoroughly recommend a stay The New in at Heckfield.

Bathroom was a little tired although immaculately clean, but the owner said they were in the process of renovating these.

Breakfast was delicious, prepared fresh with additional continental options. Service was friendly throughout my stay, from the minute I checked in until checking out. Nice addition of biscuits and bottled water to the room which isn't often standard in most places now.
