Conveniently located at centre of town. Highly appointed room with church bells coming from the nearby cathedral. Seamless check in with friendly staff over at st Martin house and a brief introduction of the building, and the two chairs commission for Queen Elizabeth the second and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Our room has everything we need, a safe, a fridge, ironing board and iron. Not to mention the beautiful free standing bath! I had two baths and a shower in the space of less than 24hrs!!! Oh and free parking and great communication prior to arrival. All and all very well done!
Is a grade II listed building so understandably no lifts.

Central location in the old part of the city, right next to the cathedral and where Richard III was found in the car park! Very quiet, no traffic noise (room and a window overlooking a small internal 'courtyard' space). Lots of good places to eat and lots to do within walking distance. On site car parking included. Breakfast not available, which was fine for me and there is a lovely cafe with great coffee next to the cathedral.
Check-in location directions were a little confusing in the message, would be useful to include a what3words location. Nice tea tray in room but biscuits were a few months out of date and rather stale. Water provided in cans - seems a little wasteful, could be a central water cooler in the building for all to use?

St Martins Lodge is always our first choice, when choosing to stay over in Leicester. A secure car park, easy check-in and check-out experience, exceptionally clean and comfortable rooms, with a wonderful ambience. Everything you will need is included e.g. iron, ironing board, hairdryer, toiletries, coffee and tea facilities (decaf too!), bathrobes and lovely seating. The communal areas are always immaculate too, and with Leicester Cathedral opposite, you can easily find your way home at the end of the evening...just look up!! Oh and did I mention, the sumptuous roll top bath, walk-in shower, sash windows and even a Dyson fan (for those warmer evenings!).
You will never hear me say a bad word about St Martins Lodge.

The room was decorated really beautifully in dark blue grey tones, with an original fireplace in the bathroom that I loved. Gorgeous shower and bed. The sink was especially pretty, the fixtures and fittings are very carefully considered. Excellent coffee machine and lemon shortbread! The downstairs rooms face right onto a very quiet street and are therefore frosted, so I asked to move up to the top floor if at all possible as I felt rather claustrophobic, and the helpful reception staff sorted this out immediately. The new room was still facing an interior brick wall, as I think very few have the view of the cathedral and the nesting peregrine falcons, but was such a nice room it wasn't an issue. Incredibly comfortable and sparkling clean.
Only the lack of a view, plus some particularly horrendous, feral children staying in the room opposite slamming the door and shouting all night. The parents were in a separate room and clearly couldn't care less. Otherwise a very tranquil place.

The best sleep I had after a long drive for my early morning meeting lasting the whole day. This was by far the comfortable bed I have slept on comparing other accommodations. Very clean and spacious room with coffee pod and finest tea within the room. Kindly allowed to park me earlier before my check-in as I was reaching early for my meeting and post checkout. Definitely going to stay back and can recommend. Also great staff at reception very polite, helpful and reasonable price and closer to all good restaurants.
The reception is away from the accommodation only across the road. To be fair I didn't read the instructions.

I stayed with my partner in 110, Superior Double Room, which was nicely sized rear facing room with a big bathroom. I generally found the hotel to be very clean, with a polite and friendly team of cleaning staff, and the bed really was very comfortable and the noise levels, even from the car park at the rear, very low. Well situated in the city centre. We had a restful time at the hotel.
The hotel does not have a breakfast facility or restaurant, but there are plenty of places nearby in St Martins (Kai, St Martin's Cafe, etc.) so that really isn't a problem.

St Martin's Lodge is the perfect place to stay to explore the historic heart of Leicester. It is literally a minute's walk from the Cathedral and Richard III Visitor Centre and just a couple more minutes from the Lanes with its many cafes, pubs and restaurants. We stayed in a deluxe double room, which was extremely comfortable and beautifully appointed, but still retaining the charm and features of the building. Check in at St Martin's House, just across the lane, was easy and efficient and having car parking included during our stay was a real positive. Whilst breakfast wasn't provided, there was a good supply of teas, coffees and water in the room and many lovely places nearby to eat. I wish that we could have stayed longer and would not hesitate to return.

We booked this hotel because it is close by the King Richard III Interpretation Centre. In fact, it is only a minute or 2 away, perfect for newcomers to Leicester. We enjoyed our short stay very much. Lina on the front desk was very welcoming on arrival and all arrangements fell into place very neatly. We were several hours earlier than scheduled but were able to store our bags at reception and explore the neighbourhood.
We were a bit confused at first as reception is in another separate building on the opposite side of the road from the accommodation. Only a minute’s walk but I don’t remember that detail being pointed out during the booking phase. I did message the Lodge about our likely arrival. Perhaps an automated response could be set up to communicate that info - or be emailed as a reminder - when contact is first made with the guest?

The rooms and bathrooms are always very good - finished to a high standard and very clean. The bathroom had a good shower with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The car park is private and secure. The desk team is always very helpful and friendly.
Personal thing, but I don't like the Nespresso/whatever coffee machines - needlessly complicated, cups too small and not the greatest coffee. Also, I don't like UHT milk. There is a drinks fridge in the room - why not offer (full fat) real milk or cream when booking? Having said that, I have not stayed in a hotel yet that offers great coffee in the room (or the restaurant where there is one).

The location was excellent. Lots of places to eat within a few minutes walk. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Room was a good size with opening windows and very comfortable. When booking I asked to be given a quiet room near the back and had a reply next day confirming that I had been allocated one. I knew that there was no air conditioning and arrived in the middle of a heatwave. The room was hot but had been supplied with a large fan which had been switched on in advance of my arrival.
Only a small niggle. Very good toiletries but no soap near the sink.
