The location (about midway between the town of Banff and Lake Louise - and only about 4 miles from Johnston Canyon) is pretty close to perfect. The cabins are comfortable and adorable. Well stocked with everything one needs for cooking simple meals. A giant bathroom (with hot tub). Comfortable bed. And a cozy fireplace (kindling and wood supplied). The staff was extremely friendly and always responsive.

It’s VERY close to the train tracks. In the end, the fairly regular passing trains didn’t really prove an issue. But the first one we heard after we settled in did have us worried.

The accommodation was a vibe - a mountain chalet retreat to disconnect from life (wifi was available if needed). There was a lounge/games room with foosball and table tennis which was nice. Balcony view was good. Accommodation was clean. Kitchen facilities were extensive. On site convenience store was good (though it was not round the clock - so do take note of the closing times).

A drying rack for washed dishes and sponge to wash the dishes would be appreciated. Close to train tracks so inadvertent noise at night (though ear plugs were provided) - but we were so tired on the second night we slept through the night anyways. There is no air conditioning so the room was rather stuffy at night when we closed the door - a fan would have been nice.

We loved the chalet and being able to relax in such a nice accommodation, which had everything we needed to cook and hang out together. The views were beautiful and the staff so personable and responsive. It was so great, in fact, that we extended our stay by two nights.

The sofa bed was, unfortunately, quite uncomfortable. Our adult daughter slept there and had to pull the mattress off the frame and put numerous cushions on it in order to make it comfortable. The train going by wakes you up at night but it’s a small price to pay for such a lovely property.

Mountain view 100% #1 reason. Only hear train Whistle and fire stove sound. We checked in Sunday night only 5 or 6 chalets have Car parked outside. So quite, we don’t see anyone other two staffs on site. Coin operated washing machines and gym on the lower level of the bigger building. I was looking for the ping pong table they talk about but no luck. I found the BBQ. Full kitchen in the unit, bring some cooking oil. If you want to do steak it would better to use the BBQ provided

The shower head need a upgrade for sure. Mattress on my side is ok. The other side needs extra support. Maybe need so rotation.

The location of the Chalets is fantastic as a base for almost any Banff, Kootenay, Yoho adventure. The staff were so helpful and the convenience store on site was super. We saw an elk out of the kitchen window! The price of lodging in/around Banff is high. Being able to prepare our own meals helped make the cost of lodging worthwhile and the on-site laundry was also a help.

The train goes by often and sounds its horn. The Chalet provides ear plugs which really help.

I mentioned in passing to the front desk agent that we love coming here, as this is where my husband proposed and where we got married in 2018. In a matter of 20 minutes, she had arranged a bottle of wine, some treats, a lovely card, and some towel decor in the room while we hung out by the fire pit to wait for the cabin to be ready, as we were a bit early. It was such an amazing touch. Thank you so much for making us feel so special!

Everything was great. The price has increased over the years, which is the only reason we cannot afford to come more often. Wonderful place

What a lovely stay! My fiancé an I were celebrating our engagement and they made sure to provide the perfect stay! We were surprised with gifts and a kind note, which made our days and nights here even more special! Special thanks to Nihar and Darrel for their kindness. The place was super clean and there was carefully chopped wood in the fire place ready for us. There is no restaurant on site, but the private kitchen is very well equipped, and their store will provide everything that you need. There is also a pump if you need gas…that was VEEERY handy! There is also a very cozy main lodge with games and a big fireplace.

Just consider that it’s a 20-minute drive from Banff townsite, but close to lake Louise and other beautiful attractions in the park. The busy railway is right beside the chalets. That didn’t bother is too much, and they do provide earplugs.

Excellent, central location and easy to reach with a small, on-site shop and petrol station. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our cabin was a good size and very comfy, set amongst pine trees and near the railway line. We did hear the trains but found these to be all part of the charm. The cabin was well kitted out with a super comfy bed and wonderful log burner with a ready supply of kindling and wood. Each day our room was serviced and the fire made up for us which we appreciated. Sachets of nice fresh coffee were also replenished which we appreciated. Overall, an excellent place to stay with good access to both Banff and Lake Louise.

The location was stunning as the cabins are situated under Castle Mountain itself. Every morning that we crossed the nearby river, we saw photographers and even, one day, a wedding party (in the snow) taking photos. Although there were other cabins nearby, we still had the sense of being out in the woods. The only downside for skiers is that it isn't on the shuttle service. Also, the daily delivery of wood for the fireplace made us comfortable having a fire every day. And we appreciated all the winter cheer the staff added. We stayed over Christmas and the tree was a wonderful touch to make us feel even more at home.

I thought the bed was perfect; my husband thought it was too soft, so who knows who is right. We also cooked every night and would have appreciated more than the basic set of plates. That said, we had everything we needed.

We had a car so it was greatly situated for us to get to the parc and ride. The staff wete very helpful and the shop at the accomodation was greatly appreciated after a long day of sightseeing as well as the spa bath for a great soak at the end of a long day of spectacular views at Lake Louise, Morraine and Sentinel Pass.

There was nothing to dislike. We could use ear plugs, provided for by the accomodation for the early train which we did not have to use.
