I thought this hotel was a wee gem. It was oldie worldie which I adore. It was lovely and clean. The staff were absolutely amazing, pure Irish hospitality, which is the best ever. The breakfast was a buffet style, but plentiful, and freshly cooked. Lunch and dinner were from the menu. My son and girlfriend had a steak lunch, and said it was really lovely. They also do a lovely afternoon tea. I love this place, and it’s very close to the international airport. Great job 🍀 Great value for money too.

So, there really isn’t anything too bad to say about this wee hotel. Ok, if I’m being really picky, there was a bit of black mold around the shower. But other than that, I didn’t have a problem. It’s an old property, so you have to give and take with it.

Ok well, you were all amazing! We had a mess up on our flight into Ireland. We ended up changing our travel plans completely. We had not planned to be in Northern Ireland and found your facility quickly due to location to airport and train. Staff was so very very nice and welcoming to us late at night. Then we realized several days after we departed my daughter left her earbuds in the hotel room. When we contacted the staff they were so friendly and agreed to mail those to us in England. Staff very helpful and attentive on the desk. Great position for the airport. Sadly we missed dinner due to late arrival after a lovely day at the coast. Perfect for the airport and the restaurant/reception facilities looked good. Wonderful Indian restaurant nearby however.

Bit of a musty smell in the room - air freshener noted. Black mould on silicone and around shower base/door could do with attention. Paid for a King room - not sure this was the size of room we received, it seemed smaller than expected.

I've not stayed here for a few years but it was like coming home. I had a long tiring day travelling with some travel disruption and a delayed flight. I arrived late tired and hungry. After a warn welcome I made my way to my room eager to jump in the shower and change before heading down to the bar. The bed looked so inviting. They are known for thier comfort, and a friend knowing I was staying, asked if I would swipe one of thier pillows for her. I went down to the bar and although food service was finished, I was handed a menu and told if I could decide fairly quickly the chef could provide. I selected the slow cooked brisket of beef. Then ordered a perfectly poured pint of Guinness and a Jamesons chaser and settled down in the cosy bar and a chat with a local. Just seemingly a few minutes later my superb dinner was placed in front of me. Having eaten and refreshed, my bed was calling. I then had the best night's sleep I've had in weeks. In the morning my brother met me and joined me for breakfast which was delicious, and the ladies serving were helpful and attentive. The Ballyrobin is the perfect Oasis for the weary traveller.

That my stay was so short .

Breakfast: Superb. Very clean place. Nice staff and extra kudos for the short woman who works in the morning, because she did everything she could to help us not leave without having our breakfast, as we were late for our first appointment. The dinner was very good (I missed a Bacon and smashed potato on the menu).

The bathroom keeps the water on the floor, which makes the lower part of the door wet, and it stops closing smoothly. It wets the carpet too.

Great location, staff friendly and welcoming. Tea and coffee in the room, ironing board, iron and hair dryer. I like a hotel that leaves you to it but is there if you need anything so this was perfect for us.

The breakfast needs work. Bacon was hard. Scrambled eggs only. Would be nice for the breakfast to be fresher. Variety of other bits to chose from though. The bathroom could use a clean up. Black mould in places and limescale on the shower head etc.

The close proximity to Belfast International Airport. Can provide airport shuttle bus service. We asked for an early morning breakfast before 7 am.There was a contential breakfast available, and they also provided hot, freshly cooked breakfast baps. Do a great Friday night steak and a bottle of wine offer. The bar and restaurant are in the original lovely old building with the bedrooms at rear on a new extension, so all bedrooms are modern and clean with comfortable large beds. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend this hidden gem of a hotel.

Of all the hotels I stay at regularly, the Ballyrobin is a huge favourite of mine. It ticks every single box, in terms of location and value for money and friendliness of staff, but the rooms are superb - ultra clean and comfortable - and the food, whether breakfast or dinner is excellent, always. and, I love to sit in the snug bar, with the feel of any old pub with an evening drink. Lovely, lovely hotel!

Nothing I didn't like

We had a spacious room overlooking the airport approach and we were worried that it might be noisy as flights were landing, but it was lovely and quiet and we didn't hear a thing when the window and curtains were closed. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and there was plenty of choice at breakfast.

The only minor niggle in our room was that we would have loved to have mugs for the tea/coffee rather than the small cups and saucers provided. Dinner in the restaurant was OK but not great. Fine when staying for only one night but would be limiting if there for longer.

The room was very nice in decoration, there was no noises in the room to keep us awake, which was great for our early start and cleanliness as well as the little touches here and there. Check-in time was great. we had a lovely supper both my sister and myself loved the delicious food, your chef was fantastic as was the service staff too! Well done!the bar area was a little small! the early morning receptionist was great too! Thank you. I will definitely stop here again & tell all my friends and family the BallyRobin Hotel is 1 of my top hotels around.

Just 'the small bar area' My sister & I both went in for a drink after our supper, then another 2 guests followed by someone I think the girl must have known! but the volume of them shouting instead of talking was too much that we couldn't hear what each other was saying across the table, which spoilt a otherwise pleasant evening!
