This hotel was great! A little further than we expected to be. But the drive to entertainment was easy. There were a ton of restaurants near the hotel so takeout options were great! The best part was that you could see fireworks right from the hotel room and you didn't have to go anywhere and get eaten by mosquitoes. The hotel room felt very spacious and was well stocked with soap, towels and cups. The front desk was super helpful when we wanted to get a second chair from the meeting room, so my husband and I could play cards or eat together at the table. There was ample drawer space and cabinet space to put stuff away in. I just wish the refrigerator was a bit bigger. And the refrigerator didn't turn on until the morning after we checked in. But, we tend to bring our own snacks, yogurt, drinks, and coffee creamer. So unfortunately we had to downsize the refrigerator and keep drinks in the cooler we brought. Which just meant that we couldn't really pack the cooler to bring snacks and lunch with us on our adventures around town. We made it work though. The pool was great too but, we just wish there was a hot tub. But we were in that pool every night and it was nice to meet new people in the pool. The breakfast buffet was truly a great addition! The hot food option each day was great and I even liked that they had hard boiled eggs. But there really was something for everyone on this buffet.

Refrigerator could have been better

The staff was excellent and did all they could to accommodate. Location was just far enough away from the crowds. The room was large and comfortable. WiFi was very good. Good spacious shower. 24 hour coffee in the lobby. The bed was very comfortable and air conditioning was very good.

No safe in the room. Breakfast was the same every day. Waffles, tasteless scrambled eggs and sliced ham they called bacon. Sometime cheese omelet, a little tastier. But sometimes everything would be empty and you’d have to ask for replenishment . You need to request cleaning even if you’re staying 4 days or more. So you need to ask for face cloths and face cleanser every day or fill out a form when you needed cleaning. Auto cleaning every second day would be appreciated.

The rooms were clean and neat. There was a lot of space which was nice. I liked that they had liquid soap instead of the bar soap.

Two of the USB ports did not work. The staff gave us a problem getting extra blankets for my children. They gave them to us but was not happy about it. Not sure why giving us extra blankets was a big deal. My children were cold at night because the extra bed was next to the air vent. If you lowered the temp. It was too hot in there. The staff who was doing breakfast would disappear. He never came out of the back room. I had to go to the front desk multiple times during our stay when items such as milk and syrup ran out.

It did meet the Hampton Inn standard: modern, spacious, comfortable, clean, well equipped hotel room, comfortable temperature, bed and smell. Happy for the complimentary breakfast and parking. We also got a free upgrade from 2 queens to 1 king suite, we appreciate the order. The front desk went above and beyond in helping us finding a room that suits our family with a small child and even showed us many rooms in person. Pool was a great bonus with kids. Overall, my not-so-easy-to-pleased travel companion can't stop complimenting this place. Good alternative to visit Portland if Portland downtown hotels get too expensive. That's why we stayed here. Lots of dining and supermarket options nearby. It's a suburban neighborhood where "real people" live, not touristy.

There was an additional 30$ ish charge in addition to what I paid on booking.com and tax and incidental, and no one at the front desk could figure out why. I would need to check my CC statement in a few days to see if it was refunded along with the incidentals. If not, I will have to call to get my money back.

We were surprised by the space of the room, the well designed layout, the safty features in the bathroom, very nice cosmetics. We loved the enjoyable American breakfast. Specifically, we like to thank the staff in helping us getting around . Very professional, we felt that the hotel is very well managed.

cannot think of anything we did not like. It was a real positive surprise. We would like to point out, that the booking.com site does not define the state in which the different Portlands are located. We booked first Portland, Oregon until we discovered our mistake. In time, happily.

Nicely appointed room. Good location. Easy access.

The room was too cold when we arrived. Temp was set at 65. Also the temperature setting is limited to a max of 76 and the TV volume is limited as well. Being that we are older room temperature and volume levels are important. It is also somewhat disturbing that the hotel feels like they have to limit these controls. Also, the mini fridge was not running and had to be turned on manually, by us. I'm all for conserving power but if you know someone is coming it seems like they could do a better job of having the room ready ahead of time.

The hotel and room were very clean. The bed was very comfortable . The staff were very nice and pleasant. We very much enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

It wasn't really bad, but it was weird that the bed wasn't facing the tv and the TV was to the right of the bed and made it difficult to watch TV from the bed. There was a couch in front of the TV but prefer watching TV from the bed. Also, I couldn't understand the three random colored strips on the wall that looked like colored test strips when the rest of the room had a nice suttle grey theme with nice pictures on the wall. The colored strips were just random and made no sense what so ever.

Looks to be a newer construction hotel. Make your own waffles for breakfast is nice. Great value!

My two complaints is that, we had a dead tv remote, and brought it to their attention that morning, and the customer service representative said they would drop off a new one later that day. When we got back later that night, nothing was done. The other one for being a newer construction, I was shocked to see the lamination peeling off an end table.

Upgraded to suite which was spacious and enjoyable. Very comfortable bed and nice bathroom too. Kids loved the pool which was nice and warm which is not always the case with indoor hotel pools. Breakfast was also good with plenty of options. Check in/out quick and easy. Hotel was clean, safe, quiet. Would definitely stay again.

Mini fridge did not work but we didn’t need it so didn’t bring it to staff’s attention to fix. Sofa bed was not very comfy but fine for little kids. Highway traffic was a little noisy but we travel with a sound machine so not a big deal for us.

I love the bed so much it is so comfy 10/10! it also gives me peace of mind to sleep on it because I know it is clean. I love that the rooms are not old and was tidy.

I did not like the breakfast. I know it's for free but might as well remove the free breakfast, the food choices is not that plenty and eating in a paper plate is kind of "off" considering the nice ambiance of the inn. I also did not like that there are no music while eating breakfast because the silence is awkward.
