The room and shower/bathroom facilities were very good. We also enjoyed eating breakfast at the cafe downstairs off the deck.., also Happy Hour drinks and prices were very good. It was lovely sitting outside on the deck with an electric firepit, looking out to the ocean. The room maid service staff were very accommodating and helpful.

The room fan and thermostat was extremely hard to figure out to control the temperature of the room. Also we checked in by phone call to the front desk, we asked for an upgrade... possibly to upgrade to a room with a balcony. The staff member at the front desk quoted it would cost $200.00 more per night. RIDICULOUS! The parking fee of $25/night was RIDICULOUS.

We stopped there to break up the journey from Big Sur to LA, so just a one night stay but beautiful Beachfront location and could get free towels and deck chairs to take on the beach, lots of places to eat and drink within yards of the hotel. Fantastic beach bar albeit expensive, but best sliders I've had.

The rooms have ajoining doors to the next room and unfortunately there was a baby crying in the next room - that's life - but maybe some soundproofing on the door could be done, more of an irritation and did not spoil the wonderful time we had at Pismo Beach!

I unfortunately ate something while in Pismo that caused me to become extremely sick and basically throwing up for a total of 10 hours The staff went above and beyond to allow me to recover in my room beyond the 11:00 am check out time . The extra time allowed me to recover enough to be able to travel. Their understanding of my situation was beyond considerate and for that I am forever grateful. Top notch service thank you so much I'm home now and have fully recovered God bless the staff at the Sandcastle!

Great location, great beds, great water pressure

One of the rooms had a tobacco smell and the front desk swapped the blankets and aired out the room. There wasn't any more double queen rooms. In another room, the remote didn't work well with the TV. New batteries were offered then the staff worked the sensor and were able to get the TV to work. Bummer but the staff really tried and were successful in helping.

Very nice location and welcoming staff

On our second night there, a child was asleep in the room and we had someone pounding on our door and we could hear them running away. We brought it up to staff but they were unable to do anything about it. It felt like we weren’t being heard about our concern.

We loved the location of this hotel! You were right on the beach and could watch the sunset. The hotel and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The fire pits outside at night were wonderful and kept you warm in the chilly air. The outside bar by the fire pit Was also nice inconvenient. We will definitely be staying here again, and we recommend it to all of our friends.

Great location. Super pet friendly. The deck had good food. The balcony and view was awesome!

Bed was not very comfortable. The toilet in the bathroom started howling in the middle of the night. We had to shut the water off to the toilet to get it to stop. Beer on tap was warm and not cold at all. Margarita was really weak and couldn't taste any alcohol in it at all.

Very convenient location, loved having coffee bar/ Den for a bite to eat.

There was some construction going on a few doors down on a balcony that went on from early morning until after 5:00 pm with alot of grinding made it hard to relax in the room or on the balcony. I know work needs to get done and upgrades made but would have appreciated some notice, and we would have planned that time away from the hotel.

Stay was amazing, until the middle of the night there was a loud banging noise and vibration in the room. Made it hard, for my family to sleep at ease afterwards. I did call the front desk, he explained exactly what happened and asked if there was anything he could assist with . There was a couple of fresh looking stains that looked like they were missed on the carpet but not a deal breaker..

Great location just steps from the beach. Friendly staff, complimentary towels, beach chairs and beach toys available for use, good food. Comfortable, clean rooms. We enjoyed our stay!

Our room was on the first floor right near the laundry room for housekeeping, there’s lots of bustling going on outside the door which is understandable but a little noisy. Other than that we loved our room and will come back again 😊♥️🌊☀️
