Budget no frills hotel located next to motorway junction providing easy access to local attractions. Room was basic but large with modern decor and compact bathroom with stand in shower. There is a charge for parking overnight, but do not use parking app listed on car park notice to pay! Go into the lobby to check in and there is a separate console to pay for parking at a discounted rate. Pub next door offers a good selection of food and there are a couple of other pubs within a short walking distance.

Breakfast choice was limited especially if you do not want a cooked option.

Everything was very clean, sufficient space for the luggage, comfortable bed and all needable amenities, specially hair dryer, large and quiet room, the staff was excellent - we pay for early check-in and they give us the room immediately even that we made the booking in the last minute also other perfect things was that we asked for the second set of towels and finded them when we go in, will recommend this place..calm, quiet, clean and with all the attention and help of the receptionist on duty (10 points specially for this marvelous lady!!.. unfortunately didn't remember her name), quiet neighbors.. The only one thing which we didn't like was the charge for the parking.. even that was 5£ for 24h, because thinking that the places of this category have to have minimum for car park for a half of their clients free... I recently stayed at the Ibis Hotel Wakefield East and had a fantastic experience! The hotel was impressively clean, with spotless rooms and well-maintained common areas that made my stay very comfortable. It was also remarkably quiet, providing a peaceful environment perfect for relaxing after a busy day. The staff were a highlight—super friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a smile. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

While my overall experience at the Ibis Hotel Wakefield East was great, one downside was the water pressure in the taps and especially the shower, which was very poor. It made showering less enjoyable and a bit inconvenient. Despite this, the cleanliness, quiet atmosphere, and friendly staff still made the stay worthwhile, but I hope they address the water pressure issue for future guests.

The staff were friendly and professional. The Receptionist even helped us with the new car park booking system. The room was large, clean and well equipped with ample tea and coffee, milk, bottles of water and toiletries, and the bed was very comfortable. Despite the heat, the room was cool and the sound of the traffic was just a distant hum. Breakfast offered a good range of hot and cold food and the serving staff were pleasant and attentive.

The bedside lights didn't work - one of them didn't even have a bulb - which made late night reading tricky.

The hotel was tucked away in a quiet spot and we were greeted warmly by the reception staff. Our room was large and well equipped with lots of storage space, a comfortable bed, a large walk in shower and great blackout curtains. We appreciated the large kettle, the tea, coffee and milk sachets, the bottles of water and toiletries. We slept well and got up to find breakfast was a good selection of hot and cold food.

It's irritating to have to pay for parking but if you pay at reception it's only £4 for 24 hours so don't use the app on the signs!

When booking, the parking was advertised as free. Upon arrival we were told to download an app to pay for parking (by the hour). I said the parking was advertised as free on booking.com and was told that it had been changed "yesterday" which was way after the day I booked and caused inconvenience as it was part of the reason we chose this hotel. Was very disappointed by this. Why was I not updated on the hotels parking rules changing before arrival if now it required payment? Lack of care on their advertising and management in this area. False advertising and did not receive the service I was told I would be provided upon booking and when pointed out was met by "well you have to pay it". Not good enough.

Great quiet location close to the festival we were attending. Simple check in process. Really impressed with the quality of the room - very clean and modern. Comfy bed and plenty of space. Huge plus was having an actual full length mirror next to a plug socket!

The shower wasn't great - more like a dribble than a shower. Not sure if it was because we were on the 2nd floor at the very end of the corridor. Wouldn't put me off booking again though

We booked lunch and dinner, breakfast had great options, but I felt underwhelmed by the lack of choice on a menu for an evening meal. The bed for me was uncomfortable, it was to hard where as the pillow was to soft even with 2 pillows

2 of the staff were exceptional offering advice on the reason for our stay. Everyone was polite and welcoming and felt at home. The manager we met was also very welcoming and his advice for our stay was also helpful.

The room was lovely and very comfortable. The staff were excellent. Nothing was any trouble for them. The one downside was that . As nice as it was finding its exact location was a Nightmare. If its location had better sign posting it would have got 10 out of 10 right across the board. We will definitely be booking again. We are hoping to go back again next month in May. If all is well. For my wife and family.

The breakfast was lovely. Not overdone, not underdone, just right and not too expensive. Room was very economical. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Not too far off the motorway. I thought, since it was quite near the Haribo factory, that it might be noisy, but one drove round the back road and it was very quiet and peaceful with trees all around and enough parking available beside it. I would certainly use this hotel again. Thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay.

Very little not to like. Perhaps some biscuits on the tea/coffee facilities.
