The hotel was easy to find and had a comfortable well appointed room. The large bed was very comfortable and the room had plenty of space in it for us with nice coffee making facilities and a mini bar. The breakfast was well stocked with the usual, however some additional gluten free items for coeliaics would be beneficial. The hotel location is close to the main streets and squares so there is not very far to walk to find a cafe, bar or restaurant to sit in.

There was no lift, so we had to carry our cases up and down the stairs. As this is an older property which has been renovated, I'm not sure one could be provided. Towels provided were a bit small and provided just enough to dry ourselves. Pillows were a bit thin and not supportive enough. Whilst there is a small pool, it is surrounded by dozens of chairs and tables. It looked very cluttered and wasn't particularly inviting despite no one using the space

The hotel is located in the city center. It is an old building that has been renovated and beautifully decorated. It is very convenient. You can walk everywhere. It is very close to tourist attractions and the parking lot. The parking fee is 17 euros/day. The staff is very good. You can leave your luggage for free. After checking out, the hotel has an elevator, so you don't have to carry your luggage up the stairs.

During the stayed, there was construction to improve the sidewalk, so it might be a bit inconvenient.

Nice old town house with a more modern extension upstairs, where we stayed. The room is comfortable and the balcony overlooking the bar and the pool was nice. I would imagine that some nights the bar could be noisy but it wasn’t in our case. We enjoyed the pool for the afternoon.

The furniture is a bit overdone and overwhelming. The pool is really small, however it was pleasant to at least be able to have a dip. We were alone, I would imagine that in busy seasons the pool would be insufficient. The staff was not too warm and welcoming.

Good location. Helpful staff. Some English spoken. Central to a good Chinese style dollar store with some good resupply for Camino walkers. A small grocery nearby with a few good options for snacks. Clean, comfortable. Had a nice view of pool with balcony and easy to dry Camino laundry. Comfortable bed in private quarters. Nice and quiet. Stocked mini bar which wasn’t used.

Breakfast offered nothing for anyone with allergies to dairy and wheat. This is not an isolated issue but omnipresent in the Camino stays. There is virtually nothing present for this with gluten and dairy allergies. Some plant based yogurt, cheese and gluten free bread and a large assortment of fruit would be nice but it’s damned near impossible to find.

Centrally located in Barcelos with plenty to do and see within walking distance (Furnas restaurant with roasted pork ribs). Large room w a king size bed. Luxury balcony on the sun for laundry drying. Fantastic COLD pool. Refreshing after a day of Camino hiking. Staff very helpful and informative. Good continental breakfast included in the price. Low price high satisfaction. GREAT value and right on the Camino route. Must stay.

We liked everything. The room was lovely and spacious. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room. There was a mini bar. The pool and garden were a big surprise as we didn't know when booking they were available. The bar was really welcoming. The food menu for dinner was very good value. The breakfast was really good, especially the orange cakes. The staff were lovely.

There was absolutely nothing we didn't like. This was one of our favourite places we stayed.

Great bar and restaurant. Breakfast was very limited and a little chaotic. Reception also was not there at 7:30 to check us out or assist with leaving luggage for pick up. Room decent size.

Dirty towel hanging up in bathroom upon entry. Everything else was clean. Very limited breakfast. Walking up and down in a dark staircase. Didn’t know you had to flip on a switch to see. Should have automatically detected movement and turned on.

The room was beautiful and spacious and the beds comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and modern. We had a swim in the pool before we could check in. We were walking the Camino so this stop was a great option and there were restaurants nearby as well as a little supermarket. We ate dinner out and left early - they packed our breakfast in a bag for us which was fruit and muffins.

As a suggestion, I would make breakfast available earlier in summer, even as a self-service option to get coffee, cereals etc. We needed to leave early on our Camino because of the heat and it would have been lovely to have coffee and cereals or even toast and jams. I hope that helps!

The room was very spacious and comfortable with a lovely bathroom close to the Camino route. The hotel itself was beautifully decorated and comfortable areas to rest and to relax next to the pool. Good complimentary breakfast and espresso coffee machine in the room that we enjoyed.

Nothing really to complain about and found the hotel situated near lots of restaurants if you wanted to dine somewhere else.

Absolutely a nice little oases with a garden and swimming pool, areas outside and inside where you can sit and relax. Nice art that made the perfect frame for relaxing and discovery. We had a room with balcony and view to the garden/pool. Very silence. The staff was friendly and helpful to suggest a good Italian restaurant, and it was good. the stay was part of walking the camino and we will stay here again. The breakfast was nothing special but OK. Because of rainy weather we did not use the pool.
