We've stayed here for years and have always been happy with the breakfast for the price, but today my daughter and I were really impressed when we discovered they'd renovated the breakfast area, expanded it, and added hot food options like sausage, eggs, and seasoned potatoes! I recently stayed at a hotel in Georgetown that was $30 more expensive per night than Gateway, and the breakfast at that one had far fewer options and was nowhere near as good.
I'm a coffee snob (I make fresh-ground coffee in a french press even while tent camping in the middle of nowhere) so I think the coffee at every hotel could always be a little better, LOL, but honestly, what they had here was good for the price. I also appreciated that the cups were decent-sized and had lids that fit since I took mine on the road.

The room we stayed in had been recently renovated and was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast offerings included more than just basic packaged items, such as fresh fruits, which were continuously refreshed. The location is on the main highway near dining and shopping, and about a one mile drive or bike ride to the river and the old town arts and dining area.
This is an old-school (but nicely remodeled) motel with all rooms accessed from outdoor walkways and stairs, not indoor halls. On the plus side, we were able to park directly in front of our ground-level room. The second floor room we stayed in last year was easy to get to, but if stairs are a problem be sure to request a ground floor room.

Continental breakfast was more than what is often offered. Nice sitting areas to eat. The beds were super comfy. Large hot tub outside but enclosed with open windows was nice. It's part of deck with tables, chairs and umbrellas. Windows open to room - always nice. A/C worked fine but didn't need it due to cool mountain air overnight.
Unfortunately, the spot for getting coffee is tight and gets congested. Not a huge deal but maybe a different location would be better. Bed linens were very fragrant either from the soap or the dryer sheets. That was a problem for me but not my granddaughter. Many people are sensitive to fragrances. Our room was at the top of stairs and we went to bed early. Though far from road traffic in room 410, people coming up and down stairs was a small problem. I'd ask for a room not so close to the stairs.

They allowed me to check in early for a virtual appt, which I appreciated. The breakfast has a TON of options, something for everyone. The rooms are always clean and the property is kept up nicely.
This is the first time we've stayed there and didn't have comfy beds. I booked a double full room and the beds were not very comfortable. Additionally, the A/C unit would not stay on all night so we went from freezing when it was on, to really hot when it shut itself off.

Clean room. Friendly service. Great location, easy to get in and out of. Breakfast is good: yogurts, fruits, hot and cold drinks, DIY waffles, and to-be heated breakfast sandwiches. All in all, a very good value for the price.
The blessing of proximity to the highway brings with it the highway noise. Certainly not a deal breaker for me but something to be noted. Had our room been further from the highway, it might have been better. Please note that we did _not_ request such a room, as it was no issue overall.

Continental Breakfast set up will take a back seat to nobody. I've seen lesser restaurants. I would go back just to get another shot at the breakfast. The kitchen and dining area were beautiful, very home type atmosphere. The rooms were great. All the amenities. Add stove and you've got an apartment. Staff was friendly and you could tell the hiring practices were very community oriented.
The bathroom fans are loud. It would be nice to be able to switch them off at night. Also, assigned parking, possibly just numbering the spots woul be nice. Actually these are suggestions, not dislikes. Was nothing we disliked. Didn't use all that was offered but there is always the next time, and there will be a next time.

Well stocked, good coffee, nothing exceptional. Nice that there was stuff to go. Plenty of good seating and very clean. Some fresh fruit would be nice.
The gazebo over the hot tub (which was working and hot, thank you) could use a good sanding and staining. The hotel and surrounding area had some nice well kept plants and was again very clean. Therefore the hot tub gazebo right in the middle comes off as a guy with a nice suit wearing a cheap stained raggedy tie.

Wow what didnt I like here. I loved from the moment I walked into the front office to my room. There were such amazing features that I would have never guessed were behind the door. It was beautiful. The best bed for my entire stay in the area. I wish I could have stayed here the entire time. Guests were friendly as well. Halloween decorations were awesome. The view just outside my door was beautiful. I used the washer and dryer and it worked perfectly for me at a reasonable costs. Love all the wooden furniture in the eating area. The boiled eggs were cooked to perfection.
That I couldnt stay here longer. Beautiful place.

Our stay was during Halloween week. The lobby was delightfully decorated for the season; what a fun greeting after being out on the road and exploring this area of Colorado all day! The front desk attendant was super friendly. The owner of this hotel takes the time for little details that make your stay more pleasant, such as decoratively folded towels, attractive and imaginative room accoutrements, even a special makeup towel arranged in the bathroom area. The beds were just heavenly! Breakfast was outstanding, with a nice variety of choices, and the breakfast area was clean and featured attractive tables and chairs.
Couldn't find any juice at the breakfast, but not a big deal.

Very pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the room and facilities. We had the two bedroom suite with full kitchen and the 4 of us were very comfortable and happy with the stay. Big TV, nice appliances and beds. Good wifi. Seemed recently renovated. Good value. Very little noise from the nearby roadway and that died down completely about 10. Would certainly stay again.
People in the room above us took a while to settle down. Rating would have been a 10 except for that.
