fabulous food, very friendly and accommodating staff, very clean hotel. some lovely touches from the hotel, we were celebrating a family birthday and there was Prosecco and chocolates in the room on arrival, and a candle in the dessert after dinner.. none of which was organised by ourselves but the staff went to the extra effort of organising. we ate dinner and breakfast in the hotel and the food was delicious.

The only thing I would suggest and this is a personal preference but the hotel bar could have entertainment or a little background music on. something to create a bit more of an atmosphere.

The room was quiet and the bed was so comfy! Breakfast was very good and they were accommodating with finding alternative vegetarian options. I loved the spacious common areas to sit in and chat or (in my case) catch up with some work. The country house felt like something in a 1920s novel — slightly eccentric but very charming. I can’t wait to come again!

I am being a bit nitpicky here but the room was ever so slightly run down. E.g the plastic shower mat had mould underneath and the curtain rod fell on my head when I drew the curtain. But, honestly, there was nothing major that marred the visit!

Comfy bedroom, lovely bathroom. Warm & cosy all around the hotel except diningroom. FABULOUS DINNER & INCREDIBLE BREAKFAST, nicest I've EVER had! Great location to walk to The Village & Powerscourt

Diningroom was more like a dining hall, lacked ambience & was cool temperature compared to the rest of the hotel especially for dinner, noisy with tiled floors. Couldn't find the tea & coffee...in room, hidden away in black box. Some bulbs/lamps not working in bedroom - staff did attend to the issue promptly. Would definitely however return to stay in the hotel again, you will not be disappointed, especially with the food

I was looking for one night of peace and quiet and to relax. I had a beautiful room with lovely ensuite. A huge four poster bed, which I loved. I availed of room service and it was very punctual. The food, dinner and breakfast, was delicious. The room was spotless. It was lovely and quiet. I was also able to get a late 2pm check out, so I wasn't rushed. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating.

I can honestly say that there was nothing, in my experience, that I was unhappy about.

I didn't like when a senior bar manager publicly berated a young barman for having such a lengthy queue at the bar and told him he was too slow. This young man had been serving on his own for over 30 minutes and had been unfailingly pleasant to every customer, despite his being under pressure and also despite some customers getting frustrated with their waiting time. I spoke to the senior manager and told him he should have turned up earlier to help and pointed out the efficiency and friendly nature of the younger man. No need to publicly humiliate staff!

Location was very easy to find. When we got there it took our breath away how beautiful the place was. There was plenty of parking when we arrived. Check-in was quick and easy and room was easy to find. Inside decor was amazing. Especially I have loved flower displays and old pictures displayed around. Room was very nice and clean. We got one at the back but on ground floor so we didn't get to enjoy the view behind the property but didn't mind that too much. We spent day out and came back after dinner for some drinks in the lounge. Prices were comparable to other venues and coctails were very tasty. We slept really well and had absolutely amazing spread at breakfast. Already making plans to come back there. Thank you

One note i would make is that Lounge was way too quiet, could do with some light music. We felt a bit awkward chatting so went to enjoy our drinks in the outside gazebo which was actually really nice so no issue there but in rain that might have been a bit annoying.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at Summerhill House Hotel. The breakfast is the best I have had in any hotel including 5* hotels. The staff were so helpful. The room was very clean. Enniskerry village is a 5 minute walk and its got lots of nice cafes, shops and restaurants. It was a beautiful stay also with the sunny weather. A short drive from Powers court waterfall hike and the gardens which are lovely to walk around. It is my second time to stay there and as a lovely welcome back gesture they left us a bottle of prosecco and local chocolates. It was a very generous, lovely touch. We will be back!!

Very comfortable, bright, ground floor double room with a four poster bed, well equipped en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, TV, tea/coffee, great hairdryer and a safe! My daughter and her friend were very impressed with their "twin room" which had two double beds, plenty of room to lay out their outfits for the family party! Breakfast was delicious with a variety of cooked dishes including vegan options, an amazing spread of breads, pastries, cheeses, meats juices and yoghurts and a great selection of teas and coffees! There is ample free parking on site and The Rainforest Spa offers a number of wellness treatments to the hotel guests at an additional cost. The hotel is located in the beautiful County Wicklow village of Enniskerry, just 15 minutes drive from the seaside town of Bray which is well served by trains and buses to Dublin City and to towns and villages further south. The staff were all friendly, helpful and welcoming with big bright smiling faces! I have stayed there before and I will again!

The only suggestion I could make is to perhaps increase the water pressure in the shower but it was more than enough for my requirements.

Breakfast - well that was 10/10. I never saw a spread as impressive at such a keen price point. It was 5 star in my opinion! Beautiful gammon, cheeses, condiments, fresh fruit, yoghurt. The best granola I've tasted in a long time! I went for the fry and again everything was tasty and 10/10. I would stay here again just for the breakfast! Staff - really friendly and helpful! Couldn't do enough to make you welcome.

Being picky, the beds could have been a little more comfortable. I did sleep well so they weren't awful just a little hard but again that can be personal preference.

Heating broken in room but gave us a plug in one from the second night on. Tried to fix it. Made every effort. So helpful. The rainforest spa doesn’t give day pass to sauna and jacuzzi .. must pay for a treatment such as a massage then you have to use sauna an hour before treatment. Hotel would benefit with a little sauna somewhere but it was still amazing
