The town of Enniskerry is sooo cute, lots of great trails nearby for walking, and right across from powerscourt. The house was soooo cute and charming and the staff all so nice. Our stay was very comfortable.
Our room was a bit musty. There was no air conditioning and we could open the windows but it didn’t have a screen so bugs would get in sometimes. But there was a bit of a musty smell in our room that I wish had not been there. Also, I wish there were more easy public transportation options to other areas inside Wicklow, but I know that’s not up to the hotel. Maybe a shuttle to the park entrance could be considered in the future?

Staff, all very nice, especially lovely chap who worked both reception and dining room. Breakfast was excellent - including usual fry, egg dishes, fruit, cereals, croissants, nice sweet cakes. Icing on the cake for breakfast however was the home cooked ham and huge selection of cheeses. Dinner excellent - could not fault it - fish dishes very tasty. Steak sandwich yummy -starters chicken wings and fish dishes very tasty perfect. Room excellent - 2 double beds - lovely spa type washing items Great service in bar.
I would have loved dish of precut fruit - whilst there was plenty of fruit- you had to dissect it yourself.

My mam and her partner had the most wonderful stay at Summerhill House Hotel. I had mentioned when booking that she was celebrating her 60th birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make it special. There was Prosecco and chocolates waiting in the room on arrival, and at dinner she was surprised with a dessert beautifully presented with “Happy Birthday” written on the plate. It was such a thoughtful gesture and really made her day. The hotel staff were so kind and attentive throughout the stay. Thank you for making a milestone birthday so memorable — we couldn’t have asked for more.
Nothing - it was perfect.

From start to finish, the service was excellent and the hotel truly felt like a destination in its own right, offering everything we needed for a perfect getaway. My request for twin beds was accommodated without any issues, and the room was spacious with two very comfortable beds that ensured a great night's sleep. The food quality throughout our stay was excellent. Breakfast was outstanding - they offered both a cold buffet and an à la carte menu where dishes were freshly prepared to order. I had delicious avocado toast and French toast with mascarpone and fruit compote that exceeded my expectations. The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner, maintaining the same high standard. The lobby bar provided a relaxing spot to unwind with drinks in a pleasant atmosphere. The rainforest spa offered a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, creating a true sense of serenity. The outdoor hot tub was a real highlight and a lovely setting to relax in. The therapists were skilled and professional. The location couldn't be better - just across the road from Powerscourt Gardens. We could simply walk over and enjoy a stroll through the beautiful grounds. There are also multiple hiking trails nearby for the more active guests. My friend and I were both very pleased with our stay and will be back on other occasions, since it’s only a short drive from Dublin. Highly recommended!

The hotel has charm and elegance. The furnishings and decor are tasteful. There is an air of calm and peace. The bedrooms are large and bright. The beds are so comfy with good quality bedlinen. The bathrooms are bright with good quality towels. Reception team was polite and friendly but it was the breakfast team that excelled with efficiency and really good ,friendly service.
Lack of warning before our stay that there would be a power cut for a whole day. There is nothing the hotel can do about road works and power cuts but it would have been a courtesy to advise guests in advance so they could plan around it.

fabulous food, very friendly and accommodating staff, very clean hotel. some lovely touches from the hotel, we were celebrating a family birthday and there was Prosecco and chocolates in the room on arrival, and a candle in the dessert after dinner.. none of which was organised by ourselves but the staff went to the extra effort of organising. we ate dinner and breakfast in the hotel and the food was delicious.
The only thing I would suggest and this is a personal preference but the hotel bar could have entertainment or a little background music on. something to create a bit more of an atmosphere.

The room was quiet and the bed was so comfy! Breakfast was very good and they were accommodating with finding alternative vegetarian options. I loved the spacious common areas to sit in and chat or (in my case) catch up with some work. The country house felt like something in a 1920s novel — slightly eccentric but very charming. I can’t wait to come again!
I am being a bit nitpicky here but the room was ever so slightly run down. E.g the plastic shower mat had mould underneath and the curtain rod fell on my head when I drew the curtain. But, honestly, there was nothing major that marred the visit!

The staff were very friendly, kind and attentive. They went over and above to make sure we had a comfortable stay. The room was very specious with a lovely view. Beds are very comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud! The grounds are beautiful and only a stones throw from Powerscourt Estate and Gardens and a short drive to Glendalough. Breakfast offering is substantial and very tasty. Dinner menu is equally as good.
Nothing lovely, happy peaceful stay and shout out to Kim at the Spa who was excellent and really tailored the treatment to me.

This is a beautiful hotel. First time staying. Would recommend but for 1 or 2 things...the heat in the rooms was quite high with a temp clock reading 29 degrees. The bar closed at 11pm which was quite early especially for patrons like ourselves who had used the hotel to access dublin. By the time we got back, eventhough we didn't delay after our show in Dublin, the bar was closing. The grounds are beautiful. The breakfast was worth the stay alone. The staff were friendly, informative and just plain nice and helpful. Thank you

Comfy bedroom, lovely bathroom. Warm & cosy all around the hotel except diningroom. FABULOUS DINNER & INCREDIBLE BREAKFAST, nicest I've EVER had! Great location to walk to The Village & Powerscourt
Diningroom was more like a dining hall, lacked ambience & was cool temperature compared to the rest of the hotel especially for dinner, noisy with tiled floors. Couldn't find the tea & coffee...in room, hidden away in black box. Some bulbs/lamps not working in bedroom - staff did attend to the issue promptly. Would definitely however return to stay in the hotel again, you will not be disappointed, especially with the food
