We had a family party in the afternoon in Hardys bar and it was fantastic, the staff were fantastic, the food was lovely, the room was fab (as always). Super clean and tidy.
What reception did not tell you was there would be thumping dance music until 0030hrs downstairs at a function. My cousin who was also staying with her family said it had been every night since they arrived. I only stayed one night and did not get to sleep until nearly 3. I had to be up at 0600hrs so not the greatest stay. I LOVE this hotel. Its my go-to when I come to Dun Loughaire. The hotel, the staff, the food, drinks - I love it. But this was not acceptable. Tell me and give me a chance to change room/location/hotel, not ruin my stay that I had saved up for (I had family I could have stayed with but thought a little "treat" was in order).

Breakfast was excellent, the room was very comfortable. However the view from the room was disappointing. The leisure facilities were excellent and the swimming pool is a real good size. Central location with access to an amazing library and some fabulous restaurants. The dart is also just a five minute walk. And the air coach drops you off at the bottom of the road to the hotel.
Everything is expensive

Staff were so good. The food was perfect. Lovely bed. The garden around it was kept lovely. Great spot.
The building needs a lot of attention. The plaster work so bad in the front hall. Paint work needs seeing too. Classic room it was not . Very boxed. The room we got had no view whatsoever. Just walls and windows. I was disappointed. The price just for the room only was 398euro . That's all you got for the money a room. As I said disappointed 😞

As always I really enjoyed staying hotel. We look the look and the feel of the hotel.
Checking in at 3:50 only to be told to come back in 15mins by a very surely receptionist by the name of Maria. When I reminded that the hotel guaranteed a 4o’clock check in she told me they were busy. Didn’t even offer to hold our cases. Really put a dampener on our stay and the service just got worse. We booked dinner and ordered wine with our meal. The wine was dropped in a bucket and we were left to open and serve ourselves. The waiter was less than pleasant..! We did go for dinner there on New Year’s Eve and we did have a much better experience thanks to our waiter for that night.

Breakfast food was very good, but a bit confusing as to what we could have. Figured it out after a couple of days. Tables were a bit small and dishes were not taken away fast enough so we quickly ran out of space for the next item we wished to eat. Menus were the same in the Atrium,Hardys. bar and Dun would like to have seen a variation and greater choice. The location was perfect for exploring the town. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and had a balcony.
People in other rooms slammed their room doors until the early hours keeping us awake during our first night some sort of mechanism on the room entrance door to make them close quietly would have helped they have a strong spring and close very fiercely if let go and makes it a bit of a struggle to get your cases into the room against the door. Room was comfortable but a bit dated. There was a lack of information and we were left to figure things out for ourselves, for example we did not realise we could get food in the Atrium for a couple of days. Same menu in all the eating Venu`s if this is not the case then we did not know because of a lack of information.

Beautiful room, comfy bed, gorgeous view. Staff, super friendly.
They didn't update the late checkout (despite them being told and asked about it twice...whcih they confirmed) so I cldnt get into the room after my spa treatment, had to go all the way back down to reception... then while I was showering, room service came in to clean.! Kettle was leaking. I called for room service on the Saturday night and the person who answered cldnt see what I cld see on the menu. He didn't understand English very well and he ended up hanging up on me.

The late shift manager was lovely on check-in. My room was lovely though a little dark due to the window size. It was perfect for my one night stay as I didn't spend long there after waking up. The bed was one of the comfiest I have ever had in a hotel. Delighted with it. Location perfect for a walk along the pier and investigation of the peoples park the next morning.
I expected a bit more for breakfast, having to pay extra for it. Unfortunately I arrived down at a quiet time which meant that the hot food had been out for a good while. By the time, I got my toast and sat down the breakfast was lukewarm which was disappointing. The croissants and mini pastries were not freshly baked that morning, also disappointing. I noticed others walk in and back out to find other options. The good thing was the staff were friendly.

Very comfortable spacious room
We went to the bar at 9pm and waited for 5 mins for a member of staff to show us to a table. After being shown to a table we again sat waiting for someone to come serve us. My husband went to the bar and asked for menus which were brought to us. Then the manager came over told us kitchen had finished 10 mins ago and took menus from us. Food continued to be brought to various tables for the next hour. In fact a couple sat down at a table close to us about 10pm and they were served. The manager brought over their bill at 10.47. Others seemed to be brought bowls of crisps/chips? We were given no option at all. We had a few drinks and listened to the music. Everything else about the hotel was very good.

The location of this lovely big hotel was perfect for access to Dublin as the Metro was a few blocks away and we did not wish to take our car into Dublin. The car park at the hotel was free with validation. The restaurant and bar at the hotel were excellent and the interior of the hotel was beautiful and well kept. Our room was quiet and the bed so comfortable. Of special note: the manager of this hotel was involved with the guests of all ages enquiring about their stay and interacting with them. Very impressive! He was also very much a presence in all areas overseeing that employees were keeping the guests happy as well.
No rain on our first night there! All was excellent.

Location was great. Rooms were comfortable. We were just there for one night so didn't get the chance to use the pool or spa. Free parking was nice. Bar restaurant was good. Ate at Vanilla Pod across the road for breakfast which was fantastic! Sly Fox pub also great and a short walk. Drove to 40 foot for a quick, icy dip!
Building looks very run down on the outside, and used the handicapped entrance as it was the only ramp to bring luggage up and it was very run down - felt like a service entrance - so not a great first impression. Inside was nicer - felt like a throwback to grand hotels. Confusing to find the room as there were many elevators and sections but the check in desk didn't give any directions so we wandered around wondering why the room numbers stopped just shy of our number. Had to go all the way back down and ask only to be told we needed to go to an entirely different area. Should have been told that when we got the keys.
