Good location and view from our balcony was lovely over Dublin Bay

Bathroom door was broken at the bottom and made a noise when opening and shutting. Fixed panel over the bath made getting in and out to shower quite difficult

Great hotel to stay in , lovely rooms, we had a great meal there in the Dungeon restaurant breakfast was also very good.

I thought , because of the price you pay to stay and dine there the service could have been a little more professional, especially with the younger staff members. EG, no table service in the library / cocktail bar, 3 staff members behind the bar just talking instead of walking around the tables checking on if any more drinks were required etc, each time I needed a drink I had to go to the bar or order, also while I was sitting at my table I witnessed a vision impaired guest making his way to the bar to order a glass of red wine on 2 occasions. If anything could be improved I would possible recommend some hospitality staff training especially to the younger staff members.

The room was comfortable with a large double/kingsize bed. The bathroom was well equipped and clean. We had breakfast in the hotel as well, which was nice and there was a good choice of food on offer. we didn't get to use the pool or spa facilities but I'm sure they were very good as well! We had a rather disappointing incident in the bar in the evening but this was sorted out the following day by way of a refund, which we really appreciated. We would stay here again as the hotel was close to many amenities.

You could see the hotel was in some need of decoration but that didn't impact on our stay. Everything else was great!

The family room was nice and spacious with very comfortable beds. The TV was modern which is always a massive plus the coffee facilities were also great. The bathroom had a bath/shower combo again very modern and easy to use. We had dinner in the hotel on Saturday night the food and service was great.

Overall the hotel is very nice but a children’s play area would have been great we recently stayed in a hotel in Denmark and they just had a staff member at breakfast in the corner doing face painting and colouring competition with some toys books and games and it meant the kids were occupied for a half an hour or so while mum and Dad had breakfast I would massively recommend this over the school holidays but the pool was great for kids and there are really lovely walks and playgrounds near by we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for the Easter Eggs for my kids they were very happy

Staff were very good, polite and helpful, hotel has an old feel to it but nicely done, food in the Dungeon was very good and again staff nice. I had to work so went into the lobby area, the sandwiches and other option looked amazing, had I not had the breakfast I would definitely have tucked in. Would stay here again and will recommend it to others.

took a few flick of the switches to activate the power in the room. Breakfast was ok, buffet style so only warm not hot, a pet hate of mine but understand it makes sense for the hotels to do it this way, bonus they had white pudding.

Lovely setting. Great facilities inside and outside. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast fantastic, Mapas restaurant excellent. Efficient housekeeping every day. Great musical entertainment the bank holiday weekend we were there ( jazz in the afternoon and pianist at night).

Not all rooms have a good view. Be warned the hill into Dalkey can be a challenge when returning to the hotel. The decor in some areas looks tired and the unpolished hand pads on doors can be mistaken for uncleanliness.

Breakfast was amazing, there was so much choice, it was delicious, it set us up for the day. We also had dinner at the hotel on Friday and Sunday, the menu had a good selection to choose from, it was delicious and of a high standard. Staff were so attentive.

Some of the decor was a bit tired. Wallpaper peeling off walls in bedroom. The mattress protector made a dreadful plastic rustle noise everytime we moved in the bed, it was as if it was a waterproof one, not very comfortable.

The hotel is beautiful and in a perfect location. Lovely and peaceful whilst still being a short trip from Dublin. The beds were comfortable and the room had all the facilities we needed. Breakfast was lovely.

The room could have been cleaner. The skirting boards were full of dust and the floor behind the bed hadn't been hoovered. When events are on, it's extremely difficult to park in the car park, even when certain spaces are reserved for residents.

From the moment we arrived we were made extremely welcome by all staff, our room was upgraded to a suite which was absolutely beautiful the hotel facilities met all our needs , we ate in the Mapas restaurant on our second night to say the food and service was excellent is an understatement, breakfast room was bright and very relaxing, once again staff couldn't do enough for us food was delicious also . I would recommend Fitzpatricks for that few days rest and relaxation and we will definitely be back for another fantastic stay.

I have absolutely nothing negative to say about our stay.

Breakfast was amazing and there was no shortage of choice. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use the restaurant, so can't comment there. The rooms were comfortable but we did find a few un-vacuumed flies on the floor. Some of the decor was a bit tired - there were damp lines along the ceiling, and the entrance to the pool could have done with an upgrade. But all in all, we would be keen to return.

The service at times was poor (in the lobby and at breakfast, when we waited a long time for a pot of tea). And the toast that was provided with breakfast wasn't nice. The choice of self service bread made up for that.
