We love this place! First of all, we would like to say Thank You to the owner of this beautiful place who made our stop over a memorable one in QLD. My family travelled from WA, drove to Mackay upon touch down, upon return we booked this place along the way. The room was immaculate, I cannot fault it. The location was perfect, waking up with the view & seeing Kangaroos enjoying their habitat. We had a lovely breakfast & also got one of their home-made honey! What a treat from the owner. We highly recommend this place. Please do stay and support this awesome couple. 🫶

We use Bororen and Rockhampton as a stop overs when we drive between Brisbane and Mackay. It used to be that we would stay both ways at Bororen but with the new Gympie By Pass Rockhampton is now the stop over on the way up. This was the first time we have stayed at Koorawatha Homestead Motel at Bororen and it was a pleasant surprise. The owner was quite friendly and welcoming, The rooms were comfortable. Koorawathaa Homestead Motel also has a very pleasant dining room for dinner and another for breakfast. The meals offered and served were perhaps a little above pub quality and standard. Certainly would recommend this for a stop over or it could easily be used for meetings or training courses given its extensive facilities.

The shower rose was terrible.

We had a wonderful stay! The check-in was easy, even after hours, and the host was very friendly and helpful. The room had everything we needed, and we appreciated the covered parking and the ceiling fan being already on. A family run-motel, had a very family-like atmosphere. We felt very welcomed. The complimentary breakfast with homemade honey was a lovely touch and definitely a highlight! Despite being close to the highway, the location was surprisingly quiet. I slept really well, even with the bad weather, and didn’t hear any noise. The hosts greeted us warmly in the morning, even in German ;) , and kindly offered us some of their delicious homemade honey to try. We felt very comfortable and at home. The outdoor area was well-kept, making the whole stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Lovely stay very comfortable and clean, loved that there is a back door to this motel, out to a stunning garden area, which we were able to walk across the lawn to the restaurant where we enjoyed a meal. Also has a pool in garden area. I also loved that on arriving the doors to motel were all open making it nice to enter with out odours of most motels, security doors were locked front and back.this is our second time staying here. Happy to recommend

Was disappointed in the shower,in need of repair.

The room was very comfortable. The room had enough space and everything worked. We were also attracted to the hotel because it was pet friendly. The meals were really nice and good value for money.

I can't sleep with blue light from the pest control device and we couldn't turn that off. At times the old air conditioner was a bit loud and it woke me up at times. Al the white linen glows at night time. I like to sleep in complete darkness - personally. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were nice and quiet. Spacious bathroom and beautiful rural views of the mountains. We saw a wallaby nearby on entry to the motel. Everyone was very friendly.

Continental Breakfast was awesome. Every hotel should be including breakfast in their rates as they're getting expensive these days

Chicken snitzel was burnt and my rump steak was over done instead of medium rare and both food were expensive with very small portions. I was still very hungry after my meal.Not worth the price you pay for and you're much better off going out to eat at the Bororen hotel or better yet bring your own food

New owner, only been there 3 weeks, has just started giving the place some 'love'. Some things like bathrooms were outdated. Beds/bedding were new and very comfortable. Carpet in room looked to be new too. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great highway stop with heaps of room for those with boats or caravans. We had our 2 dogs with us, they were comfortable and they loved the big yard. Continental breakfast (cereals/toast/juice/ tea and coffee) was a great bonus! Would definitely stay there again.

Bathroom was tired but it is clean and functional with a nice hot shower.

A hidden gem . We were delayed leaving the Gold Coast due to traffic . Had planned to pay at the property , emailed ahead and this fabulous family owned motel left us the keys to let ourselves in . The room was far superior than other motels we stayed in en route . Very comfortable. We were very tired but in the morning the staff were so friendly . Lovely place . Next trip to Brisbane from Townsville I’m staying with these guys , 100 %

Free continental breakfast. Spacious room. Friendly staff - new owner. Room freshly painted. Restaurant on site has reopened. Late check-in, staff live onsite. Plenty of parking, enough room for large vehicle &/or trailer. Rural views. Pet friendly. Microwave & smart kettle with a keep warm function.

Our room had no heater. A/C was either cool only or not working. Had to get blanket out of wardrobe (winter). Room had 2 doors - 1 to parking & 1 to pool/restaurant area (that was good) however only 1 door had a security chain.

The room was outstanding for a rural motel. Clean, fresh, modern with a Hampton feel. Decor was lovely. Bed was very comfortable. The additional electronic bug deterrent was very pleasing to see. Staff were very nice. Meal was huge and filling. The managers obviously put effort into this accommodation. Would I stay here again? Yes.

No cutlery or plates of any sort. If you supply a microwave and toaster then really there should at least be a plate to put your toast on and a knife to butter it. Pool needed a clean on the steps as algae was present and very slippery.
