Wow, the bed would have to have been the best one I've ever slept on - and I've slept on many hundred around the world. I fell asleep with the tv on for the first time in my life. Would love to know the brand. I also liked that I could choose between bed covering. The sound proofing works so well and everything was clean and fresh. The staff we very helpful and accommodating about my late arrival and the restaurant-bar area was very busy and under pressure due to the temporary highway closure.

Due to arriving late, I would have loved a microwave in the room so I could heat something to eat and heat up a bit of milk before shower & bed.

We travel back and forth to Mackay and always have items to take up to our family. Bororen Hotel Motel is approximately half way and a pleasant stop to sleep over and recharge the batteries. Whilst the room is a bit old fashioned it is nevertheless clean and tidy and meets all of the requirements of a weary traveller. Dinner is a good solid pub style menu well cooked with an ample serving. Bororen does not provide a breakfast service. If you are heading north McDonalds at Rocky is in the right side of a highway for a stop, or if you are heading south Miriam Vale say 10kms south has a number of breakfast options available. Miriam Vale also offers EV charging facilities .

Not a lot. To tell the truth as the driver I am tired so a good meal with perhaps a Lemon Lime and Bitters or a good beer rocks me to sleep very quickly. The road north of Rocky seems to be getting worse with quite bad potholing this trip

At check in the staff were extremely helpful and cheerful. The room appeared to have had a recent facelift and had everything we needed with plenty of space to move about. Parking was right at the front door and most of the rooms were on ground level. The room as clean. The gardens were really nice had had a homely feel rather than feeling industrial. The meal in the pub was delicious. Nothing is flash but it is all nice and more than adequate

A tiny bit of TLC to fix and clean the flyscreen on the window but that is all

We have stayed many times at the Bororen Hotel Motel as we travel from Brisbane to Mackay quite regularly. Bororen is approximately halfway and allows us to break up the 1,000km trip. The rooms are always well-maintained and quiet. A stand out feature is the attached restaurant for dinner at night. The meals are always of a high standard and well priced for what you receive.

Initially, we had been disappointed that the Bororen did not serve breakfasts. Then we subsequently found that Rockhampton has a McDonalds restaurant on the right side heading north and on the return journey, the BP Miriamvale has an attached restaurant which provides good quality meals as do the restaurants in the Miriam Vale main strip.

Great price, very good rooms, comfy bed, hot shower. Good air cond and coffee making gear, spot on. The car is parked just outside the room, undercover and it's literally a 20 second walk into the bar and bistro area. Great food and sitting on the balcony, just brilliant. All the staff were uber friendly. Great little Cafes within a minutes stroll for coffee and breakfast, a great way to break up a big drive from Townsville to Brisbane. $125 for the night. Very good value, will definitely stay there again.

Absolutely zero complaints, loved every bit of it.

What can you say. This is in the middle of no where. It’s not just accomodation, it’s a destination. It has the lot, excellent accommodation at an exceptional price, connected to a pub that has the best atmosphere with staff that genuinely make you feel like part of the community and on top of that excellent food at an excellent price. Well done Bororen. This will be our must stay destination on our next long trip from the north of Queensland to the south.

You won’t find anything wrong unless your the type that rejects perfectly good wine or sends your steak back because you want to appear smarter than the chef. If you don’t give this one a ten then you are the sort of person who will never give more than a nine regardless of the value for money.

Clean, comfortable, and keenly priced motel-style accommodation, well located for many travellers on a long Bruce Highway drive. The low rumble of trucks through the night was no real impediment to a good night's sleep on our overnight stay. The bistro dinner menu was pub-standard but excellent in quality and price. The staff were friendly and obliging in all interactions.

Nothing. Not sure if breakfast is available, as we didn't require it.

Reception staff and ease of check in excellent. Access to unit from hotel reception all undercover with book exchange on offer a nice touch. Hotel dining had very good choices with specials. Service was quick and efficient and reasonably priced. Hotel off main highway with railway line on the other side of highway, noise from both was not an issue. I would certainly recommend hotel/motel as an excellent stopover.

Nothing of any note.

This pub has the best pub meals. The room was upstairs. Very comfortable bed. Two balconies. A little traffic noise but overall great sleep. I highly recommend staying here - and even if you don't, at least have a pub meal. The pork chop was so tender and the rump steak cooked to perfection

Walk up stairs to room

Rooms and facilities were clean and fresh. Nicely tiled bathroom with a good shower. A big room with comfy bed. Had dinner in the pub, great food, lovely friendly staff. Really nice atmosphere, we would definitely stay here again.

Only one thing, no hairdryer although was listed in room description.
