It’s difficult to remember everything we liked about the property. The list is endless. The view was spectacular, the large sitting area was excellent, USB charging ports, Nescafé coffee maker, tea kettle, refrigerator, lighted bookshelves, huge bathroom/bath/shower. Speaking of showers, the water pressure was outstanding! Some hotels have weak pressure but not The Trident. We had the Sovereign Suite and there is no going back ever to a normal room. There was a large outside patio with seating to look out over the water. It didn’t hurt that the weather was spectacularly warm at around 65F each day. When we return to Kinsale, we will always book this suite now. There are several restaurants to choose from in-house too but close to others and the legendary Fishy Fishy restaurant five minutes walk away. Free parking as well and always available. Loved it!

Absolutely nothing. It was clean, close to everything, and had insane views.

I really enjoyed the room and the view was excellent. The hotel itself is beautiful and the breakfast was very varied and promptly delivered. Service to the room too was excellent. The toliet selection was very good with facilities on each floor. Decor and furnishings were very pleasing to the eye and the redisdents lounge was exceptionally furnished.

On arrival we weren't told that we could use the swimming pool in your sister hotel, Actons. This wasn't made clear to us either when we booked. A litlle more chat at reception would have been appreciated. The menu for New Year's Eve could have been more varied with some specials available.

The room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the staff in the restaurant were very attentive and helpful.

The reception staff were not welcoming at all. Each time we walked past we were the ones that said good morning, they never bothered. The reception staff are the first impression and really need to interact with the customers.

After staying in a tiny hotel in Dublin, this room was a welcome treat - large and bright! We had a lovely view of the water (granted we also had to look over the parking lot, but it was fine). We were close to town and could walk everywhere very easily. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had a snack at the restaurant downstairs one afternoon and food and service were good. The included breakfast was very good - a buffet as well as items you could order. This was one of our favorite hotels on this trip.

Parking could be difficult, but we got lucky and were able to get a parking spot in the lot right away. Took a bath which was lovely, but would have liked to be able to dim the bathroom lights to make it more relaxing. Not a big deal though.

Kippers, is a plural. I got one measly sized portion the first morning. The second day, I specified that I wanted the plural, the chef sent out 6 small. Ok, he's had his joke and I did finish all of them. Next time, I'll specify 2 to 4, based on size. The Actons versions are much larger.

December 2023. Enjoyed another visit to the Trident Hotel after our first stay over 30 years ago. Of course the hotel has been updated but the essential character remains. Lovely staff, very welcoming and helpful. Accommodation. Good sized, quiet and well appointed room. Air conditioning. Large bathroom with separate bath and shower. Comfortable bed. Great view over Kinsale Bay from the third floor room. Well worth the additional cost.

It was very cold outside and the restaurant was not very warm at early breakfast time.

My short stay at the Trident Hotel was really lovely. The room was very comfortable, clean and met my expectations. The breakfast was great. Plenty of everything and of a very high standard. I would recommend this Hotel to any of my family or friends if they were going to that area. Great value for money.

No comment to make as I wouldn't change a thing.

The room (after we requested for room change) was soundproof and quiet. The room and bathrooms were clean and comfortable.

1. We had to request for a room change since our first room was a connecting room and soundproof was so bad that we could clearly hear our next door neighbor’s voices and sound from TV. 2. sea view was not really sea view. main view was car park and property next to the hotel

Decor was gorgeous, room was spacious and had everything we needed, excellent bathroom too.

The outside seating opportunities were awful, 4 tables overlooking the car park, and a few more in the car park overlooking the sludgy water of the commercial harbour. When eating outside in the (excellent) cafe, cars were backing up to the tables with fumes. Outdoor space terrible. Pics do not show this. Also being a commercial harbour location there was a massive noisy dredger in port starting work clanking from early in the morning to early evening.

Wonderful position overlooking the harbour. Exactly like the photos so it easily met my expectations. Our room was great, spacious a view of the harbour, chairs and a table to sit and look at the view. Very comfy bed and pillows. Lovely bathroom seperate bath and shower, heated towel rail, nice towels.Early check in, easy walk to town. Helpful and friendly staff. Very nice meal in the restaurant downstairs and a great breakfast. This hotel was one of the best on our trip. The town of Kinsale is well worth a visit, and this hotel I would definitely recommend.
