Clean and tidy facilities and amazing hospitality. Staff were friendly, helpful and easily contactable for anything. Loved the little touches in the communal spaces (sofa areas) with fresh fruit which made them inviting . Also rate the laundry amenities which were free of charge - didn’t feel like a bother to the staff at all. Will definitely recommend and return if ever back in the area but will look for a room with a terrace/outdoor area. Great onsite parking too

Access to laundry was locked off which was slightly inconvenient as we needed to wash sports uniform for a tournament. We needed to wait for staff to be onsite and give us access for us to use. We do, however, appreciate the free laundry facilities and ability to use washing basket and clothes horse in our room.

Loved the 2 bedroom apartment for when we were staying there while moving homes - it had everything we needed and it was a real home away from home! Loved the little courtyard “private garden” with tables and chairs as well.

The beds were a bit too soft so woke up with some aches from lack of support. Including a pair of scissors in the utensils drawer would have been good for opening food pouches. A little bit pricey but in the end I realised it was worth it, as the staff cleaned the apartment every day and it was always immaculate when we got in every evening.

This was our forth time staying at Ava Lodge and we'll definitely go back. The rooms are always beautiful, clean and very tidy. There's parking on site and the building is very quiet. With cafes and restaurants just round the corner it's in a great location not far out of central Wellington. We've stayed both as a couple and with a family and the rooms are well set out. Would highly recommend.

Awesome service from the room upgrade, to extra milk, knowing we had little people with us. Really well thought out room and complex design, with ample off street parking. Great location and perfect for what we needed. Will definitely stay again when in Wellington. Thanks Ava team for an awesome stay.

Everything. We stayed in there spa studio, and wow very tidy and warm, had our own deck which we could vape and smoke off, Most place’s don’t allow that. The toilet they had very the best ive had and smelt amazing. Staff was very friendly even better we were close to town so going out to dinner was made easy. Wish more places were like this one.

We were just here for one night before catching the Interislander ferry. We would stay here again as it was very comfortable with great kitchen facilities, sofa and spacious room. I would say that normally, it is in a quiet area but it was hard to tell as we were there on Guy Fawkes night!

Nothing we didn't like though be aware there is no lift, so if you have any trouble with stairs, request a ground floor room.

Excellent instructions on gaining access to room after hours. Room was very clean and serviced daily. Great to see that they recycle and also glass bottle for the milk in the fridge. Easy parking around the back and super close (walking distance) to pretty much every cuisine you can think of down Jackson Street. This is my new favorite place to stay when we visit here.

Spacious, comfortable and well equipped 2 bdm unit in a quiet location. Very close to good public transport into Wellington. Petone has lots of good cafes and restaurants and some good craft beer options too, all within easy walking distance.

Unusual not to have smart TV available these days. Also not fond of the over-scented cleaning products used in the building

Front desk reception was very helpful and professional. The motel had excellent parking facililties and the rear entrance was controlled access and very convenient for loading and unloading luggage.

The spotlights in the room could have been better positioned and more available to adjust.

Great location, close to the Petone CBD. Modern amenities are very clean and tidy. Free parking. Would definitely recommend it.

Although parking is free, the spaces are very small and not suited to Utility or larger vehicles but there was free parking available on the street just outside the complex.
