Location was great for where we wanted to visit ,theres a few local shops nearby in Bacton village but the site does stock essential items ,Meals on site were really good and all the staff very helpful and friendly -nothing was too much trouble The hotel /site is ideal for all ages groups and is very clean & tidy Lovely to be so close to a sandy beach -just walk down

It was so peaceful, Sunday Lunch very good, very helpful staff, all just so relaxed and laid back

I was very pleasantly surprised by the cliff top , I think due to the very reasonable price I had pre conceived ideas and wasn’t expecting too much but I couldn’t have been more wrong from booking in to leaving Ann and Tichard could not have been more helpful, we had a lovely room with sea view , all facilities tea making equipment hair drier lovely comfortable bed fluffy white towels flat screen tv , I could not have been more impressed, food was lovely and prepared fresh to order , lovely breakfast included in our price , nice bar with very friendly locals and staff

I think without a car you would be stuck but to be honest I couldn’t really find anything I didn’t like

The staff were lovely, very helpful and welcoming. The food was fantastic, both evening meal and breakfast and we loved the sea view from our room. The bar was well stocked too. All we could hear at night was the sea, so quiet, the bed was super comfy and lots of towels too. The heating in the room was easy to adjust. My dietary needs were accommodated with soya milk available - thank you! Would highly recommend, so much so we are returning.

A bit of dusting in places was needed, the lights and surrounds were in need of a clean, minor issue only. The shower was difficult to adjust, so it needs some attention as the water was really hot (room 10)

Booked The Cliff Top and hr before turning up. And got exceptional service, the owner had gone out, and a member of the kitchen team sorted our booking out and gave us the keys to our room.She was very helpful. We put all our stuff in the room and then went down to the bar for something to eat and a few drinks. The barman was very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.

The room was clean and a great view of the sea

The room was fine, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, although we were really looking forward to the advertised buffet! Proximity to the beach was perfect. Friendly and helpful hosts, too!

There was no buffet breakfast. We would both really have loved a 2nd coffee, but it was quite busy. The only real negative was something that would be tricky for the host to manage: A family in a caravan immediately next to the path down to the beach had what we thought was an XL bully. The dog growled as we passed to walk through the gate. No attempt was made to actually hold the dog. Coming back from the beach we decided to access the path round the back to avoid the dog. Being a dog owner we understand this is not so nice, but perhaps a lead policy is needed for dogs staying on site?

This place is perfect , great value for money , location wise you can’t get much better it’s a stones throw from the beach , the staff are all amazing they make you feel like part of the family , nothing was too much , breakie was fab , already booked to go back in a few weeks , even the locals that drink there are all so welcoming

The location, just a few steps up from the beach! The early morning sunrise is something which no one should miss. I came in very late to check in, almost at about 11 pm. I called in early to inform the place of course. When I went in to collect keys, there was some event happening in the downstairs restaurant. Anna, the hostess, who runs the business along with her husband, was working during the time, tending to the event. The next day, she was there serving/ attending to the guests breakfast., same enthusiasm, a happy smile, same energy. Was surprised she could sustain the same levels after a short night’s sleep. Brilliant work ethic, great hostess. Will come earlier and stay longer the next time!

Once the foldable bed ( additional bed ) is put in, not much space to move about

Breakfast was fine and straightforward and included. Location is pretty remote but that was the whole point of going there. Peace, quiet and the sound of the sea, Parking is easy and right behind the main building. They also have an evening menu and the meal I had was very good. The room has what you expect, TV, kettle etc. and the view is great. Because of the cliff edge, the sea appears to be a few metres away even though it's actually further out. Opened the window a bit to listen to the North Sea - slept like a log.

You have to take great care if you want to use the steps to/from the beach. I wasn't sure if they belong to the hotel or not. The beach is very very close to the property though. Maybe the toaster needs instructions judging by the other guests who didn't know how to work it. None of this will dampen your stay. Once you sus the toaster, all is well with the world.

Cliff Top Inn at Bacton turned out to have a beautiful location overlooking the edge of the cliffs (a fence protects against accident!). It is right by the sea and has a long sandy beach accessed by stairs. This hotel also has beautifully appointed guest rooms and downstairs a very good dining room and bar. I had dinner, bed and breakfast, all very nicely served. In fact, I was sorry to have to say that it was necessary to return to Yorkshire (home) the next day as I was just starting to get to know the community that has gathered around the hotel in holiday cabins, and would like to return later to see a little more of this life if circumstances permit.

Again, no particular problem for me, but some might be disconcerted by the big American pool championship contests taking place in the café/bar where they usually serve meals. I did not, however, ask for room service, although it might be a remedy for this.
