This is a charming hotel surrounded by peaceful gardens. It is run by a really friendly team. Enrico the manager went out of his way to accommodate us, including the safe and secure storage of our bicycles overnight and Trevor, the Chef, produced a delicious dinner. The next morning, after sleeping like logs, a full breakfast set us up for the day's ride.

Everything about our visit was fantastic - a beautiful room, fabulous staff, and the breakfast was terrific - we will definietly be back to this hotel in the future.

The room was advertised as SMALL DOUBLE ROOM, it should have been SMALL DOUBLE BED & SMALL DOUBLE Room,..The bed is not fit for a couple, far too small..we did not sleep well, plus with all the hot weather, asked for a summer quilt, they did not have any, so we asked for a sheet, which they did supply..also the room No 6 is over the kitchen and near carpark so you can hear people leaving after work and arriving..so my view is don't have room No 6 as a double only for a single person., as we could have been very large people and could have been without accommodation..I measured the bed and it was 4ft 1in..so I would class that as three quarter.. so get the advertisement changed as never heard of small double!!!!

Staff & owner super friendly and accommodating. They could not do enough for us and were really happy to accommodate for our reactive dog. It is rare to find a hotel that actually is dog friendly in every way. We had a super nice cottage and were provided with dog bed, treats, bowls and poo bags. The cottage was lovely, with our own patio and really comfortable. It felt like a home from home. The grounds were beautiful and plenty of room for dog walks and places to sit. The food was great! Lovely menu with some really nice choices both for food and wine. Breakfast was plentiful and everything was really fresh. We cannot recommend this hotel enough. The only regret was not booking for longer. We will be back!

The suite was fabulous, very spacious and nicely decorated. Tea and coffee facilities in the room plus bottled water. The meal we had in the restaurant was very good as was the breakfast where there was alot of choice. The hotel has a lovely ambience, staff are very friendly and attentive. Lots of outdoor seating areas so we could enjoy the sun . And most importantly our dog was treated like a king.!! A dog bed, bowls, treats, poo bags and towels delivered to the room for him. This is the hotel to be if you are visiting Norfolk with your four legged friend, we can't wait to return.

The setting was lovely the room we had had was a suite and was perfect for us The breakfast in the morning was all fresh and good quality produce and the staff was just so welcoming and nothing was to much for them the hotel is spotless and you couldn’t tell that some guests had their dogs with them would most definitely book again .

The other negative was no restaurant or bar inside the hotel but we was told this will be different from may . The village where the hotel is doesn’t have much to offer for food so we ended up going further afield which wasn’t a problem and don’t let this put you off this wonderful family run Hotel

Beautiful hotel, very friendly staff, especially Ellie who could not do enough for us, despite only started 2 days before we arrived. The breakfast was great, excellent selection of continental and full English. Extremely dog friendly, they supplied the baskets, bowls, treats and poo bags. Nothing was too much effort. We even got new water bottles every day.

There was nothing we did not like. I did find the charge for two small dogs expensive, but the dogs were welcome in all the areas of the hotel and everything was provided for them.

Very clean comfortable room. Very quiet, with a very comfortable bed. The staff although not always present were very helpful and polite. The building is undergoing extensive refurbishment so is only a B&B at present. However the work does not impinge in any way on the rooms already done or on the enjoyment of your stay. When the work is finished it will be a superb establishment. I should add the breakfast was everything you could wish for.

The breakfast could have been hotter. warm plates would help. There are no grab rails in the bathroom to assist with entry into or exit the bath or shower. As the bathrooms are new this is something needing addressing.

Exceptionally friendly staff, wonderful room, fabulous bed and linen. Unbelievable value for money including a terrific breakfast. It didn't feel like staying in a hotel but more like visiting a friend's country house. The quality of the decor and furniture was close to perfection with charming furniture and eclectic lamps... The bathroom was spotlessly clean with large walk-in shower and large bath all finished to a very high standard. The grounds are extensive and perfect for letting our 2 dogs run around. We stay in many hotels around the world and seldom have we been as wowed as much as we were by this place. This is simply a country house gem that feels like home from home. Will definitely stay here again.

It's a shame that there was no bar or restaurant but understand that this may be changed in the coming months.

We were moved to the Tack cottage as there was a probelm with the room we had booked. The accomdation was lovely with everything we needed and more. Breakfast was plentiful with a hot selection and plenty of tea and coffee.

It was shame that the restaurant and bar weren't open but we gather these should be open soon. Although nice to have it is a shame that the outdoor furniture isn't covered as it had bird poo on so we couldn't really sit on it.
