This is a charming hotel surrounded by peaceful gardens. It is run by a really friendly team. Enrico the manager went out of his way to accommodate us, including the safe and secure storage of our bicycles overnight and Trevor, the Chef, produced a delicious dinner. The next morning, after sleeping like logs, a full breakfast set us up for the day's ride.

Everything about our visit was fantastic - a beautiful room, fabulous staff, and the breakfast was terrific - we will definietly be back to this hotel in the future.

We love where the hotel is and the lovely grounds We have Been coming here for over seven years. This time was the first time the bar and restaurant were open and staff on reception for some reason it didn't feel like a family run hotel

Didn't feel like before not as welcoming I understand change is good but for us we preferred how it was . I know it's dog friendly but I think there should be a part of the restaurant for meals and breakfast for dogs for us there where many dogs For the first time on arrival our room smelled of a wet dog .it is a shame bit things change we will still go there but sadly not as often we also think they should limit the amount of dogs

The room was advertised as SMALL DOUBLE ROOM, it should have been SMALL DOUBLE BED & SMALL DOUBLE Room,..The bed is not fit for a couple, far too small..we did not sleep well, plus with all the hot weather, asked for a summer quilt, they did not have any, so we asked for a sheet, which they did supply..also the room No 6 is over the kitchen and near carpark so you can hear people leaving after work and arriving..so my view is don't have room No 6 as a double only for a single person., as we could have been very large people and could have been without accommodation..I measured the bed and it was 4ft 1in..so I would class that as three quarter.. so get the advertisement changed as never heard of small double!!!!

Staff & owner super friendly and accommodating. They could not do enough for us and were really happy to accommodate for our reactive dog. It is rare to find a hotel that actually is dog friendly in every way. We had a super nice cottage and were provided with dog bed, treats, bowls and poo bags. The cottage was lovely, with our own patio and really comfortable. It felt like a home from home. The grounds were beautiful and plenty of room for dog walks and places to sit. The food was great! Lovely menu with some really nice choices both for food and wine. Breakfast was plentiful and everything was really fresh. We cannot recommend this hotel enough. The only regret was not booking for longer. We will be back!

We stayed in room 1. The room was lovely! Very clean and very nicely redecorated. Warm in the room. Lots of parking and nice and quiet. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. Staff were very friendly and very accommodating. I was particularly impressed at the care and attention to service specific dietary requirements for my partner and also remembering these each day.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. If I was being picky the power of the shower could have been better as well as more consistent heat. The price of some of the drinks at the bar were quite expensive, £14 for a Gin and Lemonade.

The view from the front was Beautifull, Food was Delisious ,Staff Friendly ,And Helpfull , relaxing location .lovely stay but reluctant to stay again for negative reasons

Love dogs ,have one ,But don't like the fact they stay in Bedrooms ,!! Maybe a few allocated rooms for dogs but not all Rooms ,our rug was grubby , and I do think it's not hygienic, would definitely deter us from staying again , Also Security at night was worrying ,was told Back and Front doors are unlocked all Night , for Access , maybe give keys to residents instead ,no Staff avaliable overnight ,if problems ,Not very reassuring ,In this day and age Security should be prevelant .

We stayed in the 2 cottages which are lovely and clean, The whole place and grounds were stunning it was the perfect venue for our wedding party

There was confusion of the bed situation we booked on the understanding that there was 4 singles bed to which there is only 2 we only found this out by chance when went over to the inn, which was a blessing to find out this early only to be told that there was a option to have 2 zbeds which are suitable for young children but we were a party of 10 adults, we were told that we could have a adult zbed with no extra charge as there was a description error on booking.com but a few days before our arrival the inn wanted to charge us a extra £90 so my son actually slept on the sofa wasnt ideal but he was ok, apart from that situation everything else was good

The suite was fabulous, very spacious and nicely decorated. Tea and coffee facilities in the room plus bottled water. The meal we had in the restaurant was very good as was the breakfast where there was alot of choice. The hotel has a lovely ambience, staff are very friendly and attentive. Lots of outdoor seating areas so we could enjoy the sun . And most importantly our dog was treated like a king.!! A dog bed, bowls, treats, poo bags and towels delivered to the room for him. This is the hotel to be if you are visiting Norfolk with your four legged friend, we can't wait to return.

The setting was lovely the room we had had was a suite and was perfect for us The breakfast in the morning was all fresh and good quality produce and the staff was just so welcoming and nothing was to much for them the hotel is spotless and you couldn’t tell that some guests had their dogs with them would most definitely book again .

The other negative was no restaurant or bar inside the hotel but we was told this will be different from may . The village where the hotel is doesn’t have much to offer for food so we ended up going further afield which wasn’t a problem and don’t let this put you off this wonderful family run Hotel
