The setting was lovely the room we had had was a suite and was perfect for us The breakfast in the morning was all fresh and good quality produce and the staff was just so welcoming and nothing was to much for them the hotel is spotless and you couldn’t tell that some guests had their dogs with them would most definitely book again .

The other negative was no restaurant or bar inside the hotel but we was told this will be different from may . The village where the hotel is doesn’t have much to offer for food so we ended up going further afield which wasn’t a problem and don’t let this put you off this wonderful family run Hotel

Exceptionally friendly staff, wonderful room, fabulous bed and linen. Unbelievable value for money including a terrific breakfast. It didn't feel like staying in a hotel but more like visiting a friend's country house. The quality of the decor and furniture was close to perfection with charming furniture and eclectic lamps... The bathroom was spotlessly clean with large walk-in shower and large bath all finished to a very high standard. The grounds are extensive and perfect for letting our 2 dogs run around. We stay in many hotels around the world and seldom have we been as wowed as much as we were by this place. This is simply a country house gem that feels like home from home. Will definitely stay here again.

It's a shame that there was no bar or restaurant but understand that this may be changed in the coming months.

The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was sizeable and incredibly comfortable. We had a great night's sleep as the room was very quiet, with thick blackout curtains and cosy atmosphere. There were lots of nice touches including complimentary toiletries and a good choice of hot drinks. The TV was of a generous size with access to Freeview and the room very clean and inviting. The hotel was situated just outside the town in a lovely quiet location with pretty grounds.

The cooked breakfast wasn't prepared to order which wouldn't necessarily be a problem, however the serving platters and coffee was only lukewarm and some of the breakfast items had nearly run out, even though there was still 40 minutes until close of breakfast service. Something to be aware of if you struggle with the cold, is whilst the hotel had kindly supplied an electric heater and blankets, it was a very cold day outside and the room had older, single-glazed windows and and took a long time to warm up and lost the heat quite quickly. We found it a little disconcerting not to see any staff on arrival and a very dark entrance hall despite only arriving at 5.30pm, however the staff we did meet at breakfast were very friendly and welcoming.

We had the Nelson Suite. Nice lounge, very comfortable bed and a huge bathroom with a walk in shower and a bath. Very quiet location with little light pollution. We had a very clear sky one night. Lovely seeing all the stars. Plenty of parking available. Very easy self check in. Amazing choices at breakfast, catering for all needs and requirements. All the staff were a credit to themselves and the business.

At our stay the B&B didn’t have the bar open until the morning when it became the breakfast room. No evening meal options are available here, they do offer full evening services at their sister hotel, in Wroxham plus a 10% discount. The hot water does take an age to come through, being a very old building it’s to be expected however it is a waste of water just running the tap.

The breakfast was delicious and the staff were really friendly. There are plenty of grounds to exercise your dogs. We also ate out at their sister Hotel, The Hotel Wroxham and the atmosphere, and food was the best we have had in a long time. We enjoyed our stay so much we are hoping to go again later this year, it will become a regular place for us to stay and all the Norfolk attractions are within easy reach, of this beautiful country inn, on a hillside.

There was nothing not to like. We have nothing negative to say.

Wow, what a gem of a place. Booked one night and received an email with all the info we needed to check-in. We arrived around 5pm (in December so very dark) but the road was easy to find and the lovely tree-lined driveway was well lit. Popped into reception to get our keys and a welcome letter which directed us to our allocated cottage, The Stables. I should have known from how beautiful reception was, but walking into our little cottage blew us away; the place was immaculate, felt brand new and was just so beautifully decorated and designed. The perfect welcome pack included tea, coffee, sugar and milk, plus dog bowls and dog biscuits for our very happy spaniel. Our evening was blissful and relaxing and we had the best nights sleep on incredibly comfortable beds. Even our fussy 7 year old slept like a log! Just when we thought this place couldn’t get any better, we wandered over to the hotel for breakfast... The dining room was spacious and beautiful, and the breakfast was outstanding. We were also greeted by two of the friendliest ladies who welcomed us, asked how our stay was going and what hot drinks we’d like etc. they were a delight. We loved it so much we had rebooked for spring before we even left! I can’t recommend this place enough, it was heaven.

I can’t think of a single thing that this place could improve on. It was just perfect.

We stayed in The Stables and it was immaculate. It was very roomy but also had a cosy welcome feel. I liked the selection of hot drinks. The bottle of water and the chocolate fingers were a nice touch, they even had a little Christmas tree. I was worried about finding the place but it was well signed and our envelope contained directions to our lodgings. Usually there aren't enough towels or toilet roll in a B&B but they ensured that there was plenty available. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and it was all cooked well.

My only gripe would be that the sofa was very low down. However, this is personal preference.

The hotel is on the outskirts of North Walsham and also has a long drive leading up to it. On our last day, while having breakfast, I noticed that the drive had a misty look to it and the sun was slanting down through the trees giving the whole scene a mystical, elven, feel to it. The food at breakfast was plentiful with Continental and Full English buffet, so a bit of both could be had. The room was comfy with a king size bed.

It would have been useful if the hotel could have provided one or two car chargers. Electric cars are becoming more common so there will get more and more visitors using them. I had to go into Norwich to charge my car as East Anglia seems to have a dearth of chargers. There seemed to be a lack of staff; the reception desk wasn't occupied when we arrived nor when we left, and the only staff we saw were the ones serving at breakfast.

Room was lovely. Clean with everything needed. Breakfast was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful, Lovely grounds to wander or to relax in. Definitely will be going back. Also enjoyed wonderful meals and hospitality at their sister restaurant at Wroxham where residents at Scarborough Hill received a 10% discount on meals. The food was excellent and lovely position on the Broads with Terrace to sit and take in the views. Staff were excellent here too.

Couldn't access Netflix on TV. Although we thought it was available from write up. Asked staff to help but they were unable to get response from Management.

The experience, you felt chilled and relaxed upon arrival and the Stable Cottage was very clean and comfortable. The staff we interacted with at breakfast were great, helpful and friendly.

Upon arrival checking in process was a bit unusual to what I am usual to. Some issue with naming on the documentation left for us to collect. Issue with both numbers left to contact, when called neither were answered or calls returned. After checking out we tried to contact the hotel due to my son leaving a much loved soft toy behind via their email address. As of today, we have had no response from the Hotel to out request for help in tracking out down thus much loved toy.
