We have stayed previously and so do love the location. The food and environment is supurb.

When we arrived we were 30 mins early, but went to reception and a member of staff was more content in watching the sport on TV then welcoming us although he knew we were standing at the desk. Eventually we gained his attention and he called someone else to say we couldn't check in till after 2pm, which was not a problem, but was strange the forst member of staff didn't advise us. All for not being rushed, but on both evening meal and breakfast, the time lapse between seating, service etc was longer than desired. The shower in room 1 was very slow draining, and when inspected it needed cleaning out properly.

Room facilities great! location was amazing! We loved it! So clean! Toiletries and towels were spot on! A fan in room was helpful when it was too hot. Breakfast was good generally.

Shame window couldn’t open more, tv was so far away we had to get up to read the screen. Personal preference but bed was really hard and pillows were not soft enough. Check in was a pain…..stood at the check in for a while, was looked at by 2 staff members and neither spoke for ages. Maybe set the toaster at higher temperature at had to put bread through 3 times to get it brown. Maybe put pastries/muffins in a container as flies around the food. ‘Fizzy’ apple juice…..so not fresh. Asked for fresher. The steps were slippy up to the room, I slipped twice, metal edges.

Room - smaller than I’d have liked but en-suite was excellent. All very clean. Breakfast - mostly acceptable but toast not toasted beyond ‘blond’, some food products not of good quality, server attentive but too busy to clear tables and top up emptied foods, cups, glasses for juice, etc. one server with no obvious help. Pleasant man. Bar - good staff but system of queuing at one end of bar to be served was unusual for us. Very slow due to new untrained staff. Not enough staff so tables and glasses not cleared away which blocked tables for new patrons. Location - excellent. Charming pub, right on riverside. Plenty of seats inside and out. Local shops useful. Outside bar useful when queue too long inside pub

Excellently positioned on the banks of the River Bure. This newly refurbished pub was a good choice for a weekend in the heart of the Norfolk Broads. Nicely decorated rooms, a comfy bed, very tasty breakfast on offer. And to make the stay more pleasant the staff were lovely. They made us feel right at home.

The room we were allocated was one of the more “compact” rooms so it wasn’t very spacious. Being a quaint old building you could hear noise from the pub downstairs and neighbouring rooms, but it quietened down early enough not to be a problem during the night.

The room was great value for money, in a great location for exploring the Broads and staff were attentive. We would have stayed more nights if we could have! Despite being over a pub, the room was quiet and we managed to get it fairly cool, even on a very hot couple of days. Breakfast was good value for money too with plenty of hot options from the kitchen.

The only fault we can find is that the shower drained very slowly, the waterfall shower might be too powerful for the drainage to cope. But a really minor issue that didn't affect our stay.

Refurb is fantastic! Classic, smart new decor - not sure when it was done but we’d stayed a few times in the past and it’s unrecognisable from previous visits! Very comfortable beds, staff were lovely, welcoming and attentive. Good choices for hot breakfast, well cooked and presented.

Continental breakfast/cereal options could be better, although we stayed over a quiet weekend, maybe why choice was a little sparse. Noisy extractor fan in the bathroom. Poor drainage in the shower which resulted in a bad leak but staff were super helpful and hopefully it will get sorted.

Only about a 10 minute walk from the station.Location was central, staff friendly and polite, food good, well cooked and good range of choices, breakfast was in my case a full English and was large and again well cooked and served. The bedroom was clean and had been redecorated and fittings updated in the last 6 months, the bathroom had also been re fitted out and was clean, fresh and functional. It needs to be mentioned that this is a very old / historic building prior to the following comments.

When the rooms were refreshed, air conditioning should have been put in, in summer or hot days the rooms hit high temperatures making sleeping an issue. The step up or down into or out of the newly installed shower tray is high and the shower tray itself was slippy. While I coped with it, an elderly or handicapped person may struggle or find access impossible. The stair cases to access rooms are fairly steep which some people could struggle with, but this is an old building with its own character

Very tasteful recent refurb, loved the colours decor etc. Room we occupied was full of character as only an old building can provide, modern box type characterless rooms cannot compete. Whole place was spotless, the mirrors and glass gleamed. Breakfast was exceptional value at £10 each

Young staff were great, friendly and polite, but needed training. Young men do not see when the supply of cups & saucers has run out, even when you ask for one they just bring 1 cup, (saucers are not that necessary obviously), but he cannot see that you have asked because there are none left.

We cannot fault the location , the room or the breakfast all excellant. We had an evening meal at The Kings head every evening too during our 7 night stay.. Value for money. Tasty menu. Friendly and helpful staff .The Breakfast was so filling and cooked just how we like it.

The only thing that could have been better for us would have been a lift. I struggle with stairs but we would not be put off staying again. When we arrived they kindly took our suitcases to our room.

Booking in was with a smiling reception 😊 and I asked them about a train ride on the bure Valley railway, so they looked online and got all the details for the trip. The lady who showed us our room was equally pleasant. The beer at the bar was a good range of quality beers. We had our evening meal their too and it was excellent so if you want to be looked after well look no further 😉

Nothing is not to like and the shopping area is excellent their is boat trips and plenty to do things around the King's head wroxham so it's a big thumbs up 👍
