I stayed at Room at Number 4 for one night. The bedroom was clean, with a super comfortable bed, and tea/coffee-making facilities provided. The bathroom was also spotless, with a lovely hot shower and toiletries provided. Pre-arrival, the owners were quick to respond to queries and happy to help. On arrival, the self check-in process was quick and easy (having followed the clear instructions, provided by the owners). Overall, I had a lovely stay and I can highly recommend. Indeed, if I return to the area, I'll be sure to stay again.

Nothing. It was perfect.

The apartment was nicely clean, the heating was on so the room was at a nice temperature when we came (since it was cold outside), two different sizes of towels and water in the room was really appreciated, the room is small but cosy with a comfortable bed and all you really need for a short stay

Netflix (etc) wasn’t working because the TV couldn’t connect to WiFi and for some reason it couldn’t connect even to our hotspot, the walls are also quite thin so you can hear a lot from the other rooms (but out neighbours were really loud, you should be fine if yours are not shouting)

Excellent central location, right next to a cafe (though the cafe isn't open on Sunday's it seems), a minute's walk from the town centre and only 10 minutes walk from the train station. The room was clean, comfortable and welcoming. Great shower, plenty of towels provided. Complimentary bottles of water to go with the usual kettle, tea and coffee facilities. There is adjacent parking too but I can't comment on that as I didn't use it. The cafe apparently isn't affiliated with Rooms at Number 4 anymore so instead call one of the mobile numbers provided to gain access the key safe. Great value, I'd defintely stay again.

Very clean and spacious, seen owners most days cleaning the hallway n other rooms. Shelly is very nice and even put a microwave in our room during our stay, we only uses the room for a place to sleep at night as spent most our time at family homes, but if you were planning on using it as somewhere to stay for business it would work well. Right in the center of town with cafes, parking, supermarket etc just a stone throw away would stay again and will highly recommend to family

I've stayed at Number Four several times while visiting family, and it has consistently been a fantastic experience. From the moment you first reach out to Rob to the minute you check out, everything is seamless and straightforward. The rooms offer incredible value for money; despite the small budget, the quality of the rooms and facilities is exceptional. Each stay has been comfortable and hassle-free, making Number Four my go-to choice for accommodations. Highly recommended! You must check out the cafe the food is fantastic and you 10% as a guest at Number 4. ---

I can't say there is much I don't like about number 4 maybe the shower head could be a bit more powerful but that's it.

Area was quiet. good size, clean and comfortable beds. We asked for another set of towels and an ironing table and iron, which they got for us quite quickly. Rob and Shelly are super friendly and helpful.

As the heating came on in the bathroom when using hot water, the bathroom did get quite warm, but did help to dry some clothes we used on the coast. So not really a massive negative 👍🏼 just keep the door open to allow some ventilation.

Clean close to town and simple but everything we needed

On arrival we asked the cafe staff for access as mentioned in the instructions but they didn’t want to help us and told us to phone the number by the entrance door. We rang the number but there was no answer. Another number was available in the instructions but no answer either, but returned my call in 30 seconds with key instructions. It’s does seem cafe staff seemed annoyed that we asked them for entrance instructions.

Very clean room with lots of space and had a cosy feel to it with lamps, , furnishings.. Facilities very good tea, coffee, shampoo, towels etc. The person who greeted us was friendly and informative about where to eat and assisted with registering car. Would stay again if in the local area. Cafe downstairs excellent value for money and very busy a must try!!!

Too many air fresheners, gave us a sore throat. Soundproofing not brilliant, but ok for a short stay. .

Location was perfect, access to property very easy, room is spacious and bed comfortable. Free parking adjacent accommodation which is welcome.

The shower was not usable unfortunately, the thermostat kept resetting itself on all the electric showers settings so basically no constant hot water. After a long day working outside in the winter on a cold day it would of been nice to get a hot shower and clean off the grime. Instead I had a strip wash boiling the kettle etc.

Convenient, cheap, quite comfortable. Good location close to town centre but easy to park. Plenty of milk and teabags provided. Rooms are quite compact so need to be friendly with the person you are sharing with! Storage was ok for a couple of days. Coat hooks existed. Café next door is owned by same people I think? There is a small discount for guests, and it is a good café. £6.50 for avocado and poached egg on toast is quite reasonable these days!

Lot of scented cleaners and reed diffusers were used around the room and the hallway. (partner is sensitive to them)
