Location is amazing, there is basically walking distance to the old city centre. Very quiet area. Modern room facilities. Very good breakfast. Host gave us precise indications for the auto check-in.

Parking is specified as available on the street , well it is if you are lucky. I had to invent a parking spot between two cars and moved the car on a normal parking spot 3 hours later. You can't unload your luggages in front of the location because you block the street. Can be frustrating on the first look but it compensates with the location.

Spotless, comfortable, spacious and in the perfect location for exploring Matera. Mariella was a fantastic host who listened to my whims and brought some extra choices for breakfast on the second day. The room was extremely clean, comfortable and quiet. It’s so easy to park nearby at no charge. I strongly recommend it to anyone who seeks a place to stay that combines modern facilities in a beautiful traditional house. You’ll be warmly welcomed by Mariella who works so hard to provide a top-class B&B. A very solid 10/10.

We hired a rent a car at Bari Airport to visit Matera. Hotel is located near the old town of Matera (about 10 mins walk) which is registered the UNESCO world heritage. Thanks to the hotel location, we could enjoy late evening time and early morning time of Matera which was really beautiful. Hotel owner contacted us in prior to our arrival via WhatsApp and kindly instructed us how to get inside the hotel. Room was spacious, clean, modern, good size of shower cubic with enough hot water and good water pressure (bathroom was also spacious, modern and clean). We stayed in twin bed room, and there was a spare sofa bed so three people can stay easily. Also tea/coffee making facilities were provided with tae bags and biscuits, which was nice!

As Matera is relatively small town against its popularity, therefore, car parking spaces were limited. We were lucky as we could manage to park our car on the street where the hotel is located.

Martella is a fantastic host. On the day of our arrival she contacted us providing directions to the property and confirming our expected arrival time. On arrival she was not only waiting for us but also ensured we had parking right outside the property which was free for the duration of our stay. The buffet breakfast was fantastic especially the cakes which Martella bakes fresh each day. Our bedroom was large, comfortable and overall very well appointed. The property is on a quiet street and is only a few minutes walk from the Sassi. I would not hesitate in recommending this property.

There is nothing to dislike.

Absolutely perfect accommodation for a visit to Matera: very convenient location just a few metres outside the old centre with parking spaces in the same road; good sized, newly and well-equipped rooms with ensuite bathrooms; impeccably clean; air conditioning; comfortable beds; a great breakfast spread in the morning; several fabulous restaurants just a few steps away. Mariella was a really helpful and kind host - we loved it!

What did I like, everything. The location was excellent being only 3 minute walk from the old city and many great restaurants with pin a 6 minute walk. Th room was spacious and spotlessly clean with a shower with great water pressure. It is located on a quite street. The host, Marsella, was the most nice, kindest person who really takes pride in her property and wants the best experience for her guests. She gave us a choice for the type and time of our breakfast which was very good and more than we could eat. There is no reason to look anywhere else to stay in Matera.

I have nothing negative to say.

It was near the old town by foot and parking on site was free of charge. It was clean and the owner very polite. We had access to the back yard to smoke.

The room was small, the hairdryer wasn’t working. The door to the room was thin like a wardrobe door we could hear people talking and taking breakfast in the morning.

Located just outside the Old Town, very convenient if you have a car and you need to park. The host Mariella was lovely. She was really concerned about our happiness and made us feel really comfortable. Breakfast is served every morning. This place has only few rooms, it feels more like a private retreat than a typical hotel.

Great location, about 10 min walking to the old town, but outside ZTL zone so no issues with driving there. Not sure about the parking on the regular day, but we arrived on Saturday so it was quite busy. What was great is that the person, who met us, had her car parked infront of the hotel (basically saving parking spot for us). Our room was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The hotel also has the inner courtyard with several tables, where you can seat and relax after the long day.

Limited free parking, but that's common in that area. Breakfast was ok. No Netflix or other TV options that would work for a non-Italian speaker.
