The apartment was beautiful, and tastefully furnished. The lighting was very good, the bed very comfortable. It was located in an easily accessible area of the Sassi Barisano, close to the main Plazza Victoria. It also contained a large TV with Netflix and streaming channels. It offered a patio with beautiful views of the Sassi Caveouso. The owner, Tina, met us in a convenient location on our day of arrival to guide us to the residence.

Matera is wonderful! Apartment had a great view and being built into the cliff you really get to experience life in Matera. Only one small thing is upstairs is i suspect the owners home, there was a doorway to the home and the owner seems to snore a lot, this was at the opposite end to our bedroom so no issue at night, jst morning time when us tourists are up and it seems the locals are still asleep.

Sensational accommodation in a fabulous location. Many people stopped to look inside and were always impressed by the place. Great host who went over and above what was expected. Breakfast was more than adequate and well supplied. I can't fault this place. It is one of the most impressive we have stayed in. Top notch.

One tiny improvement would be to supply a carton of milk.

The location is perfect right in the middle of the old town and the sassi of Matera. Hostess is very nice and attentive. Beds are very good, the apt is spacious and well decorated.

It has just 1 bathroom.

The host was very welcoming and kind. Location was excellent. The accommodation is most unusual and really very romantic - a huge space, very pretty and quirky decor. Breakfast was kindly provided - quite basic but then Italian breakfasts are and we were happy. Lots of very sweet touches and really they made an unusual cave into a lovely home for us for 2 days

We should have stayed longer in Matera - I didn't realise its a big as it is and a very beautiful and unusual area to visit

The apartment was very tastefully done...lovely Objet D'Art....very spacious & Cool...Fantastic view from upper terrace (we had ground floor apt) courtyard patio was perfect too...shaded and very private..bathroom was modern with plenty of light & air...A very generous breakfast laid out when we arrived Short walk into centre & only 15 mins walk to cathederal...Host responded quickly to any Q's or requests..very helpful

Absolutely clean. Tina was a wonderful host.
