This was one of the best bungalows I've ever had. Amazing view and so quiet. The only things I would constantly hear were birds, the trees and the sea which contributed to a relaxing experience overall. Greetings again to Pond who was the sweetest and most helpful person ever. It was great meeting her and the 15+ adorable cats living their life around the resort. The staff were always very nice the food was one of the best on the island - if you stay at this resort you have to try their coconut soups. The breakfast was also good - lots of fresh fruit besides the classic western-style buffet with daily added custom local specialties.

Th beach next to the resort wasn't good for swimming, but unfortunately this was the situation in a lot of places in Thailand when I went (water was infested with jellyfish or just dirty as a result of human activity) But still it was very beautiful on the surface.

Sunrise view was breath taking! Host was amazing. Wonderful local Thai breakfast food but can have American food on demand!!! Grounds and rooms were gorgeous

View from the bungalow was idyllic. Rooms were large, large comfortable beds and bathrooms were also huge, with a bath with ocean view if you wanted it. AC worked well. Really quiet and peaceful setting to switch off. What really makes this place is the Hostess/Manager ‘Pond’ and her team of staff. They could not do enough for you and Pond was more than happy to arrange boat trips at local prices (they also provided a great packed lunch free of charge to take with us), taxis, laundry service was reasonable price and quick turnaround. Breakfast was also provided and was HUGE. She was happy to keep a running total for any extras during our stay and we could pay by card at the end (a lot of the ATM’s on the island do not work). Honestly she was wonderful and has been the highlight of our holiday so far.

Very minor issue and didn’t really bother us, but given that you are staying in the rural areas you do sometimes have ‘guests’ which can make it inside the room. Maybe just need to seal some gaps.

The views were amazing the whole resort is set out to make it feel like you are on your own it is so peaceful and quiet we had been to 3 different locations in Thailand all busy places and this was our downtime it worked perfectly for us all the staff were so nice and friendly and lady on reception is very helpful we only ate once in the restaurant but food was very good we just like to try different places if you go here you will need a scooter to get around it’s about 300 baht per day not many resorts are in the villages but the roads are so quiet it’s not a problem and lots of places do sidecar too we found lots of nice beaches nearly to ourselves there is no overcrowding at this resort there is an honesty book if you get anything water drinks etc write it in and pay at the end and they do accept cards bear in mind the whole of Koh Yao Yai is 90% Muslim so although some eating places serve alcoholic drinks not all do and you can’t buy it from 7/11 we managed to find a family shop and 9 square sell it we stayed 8 nights and thought that was long enough there is activities to do but we just chilled

Nothing it was perfect

The best of Esmeralda View resort was the staff. Bond the resort manager was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great (specially the sweat dishes and the fried fish). Rooms were spacious and clean with ac and amazing views to the sea. WiFi didn't reach our room however, was very in the common areas. We did a few private tours organised by the resort and they were the best thing of our Thailand trip. 100% recommend.

My friend and I stayed here for two nights, and it was an amazing experience! The place is entirely run by an incredible team of women: super kind, well-organized, and always ready to help you with anything. They speak excellent English, so everything was super easy. They offer tons of organized tours that you can book directly with them, so no hassle! And the restaurant? One of the best we’ve tried in all of Thailand – absolutely delicious. The rooms are spotless, cozy, and so peaceful that you feel completely refreshed. If you’re looking for a place to feel pampered, this is the spot!

The place is just amazing, with an incredible view both from the main area and the bungalow. The staff has to be the nicest and helpful we found in the whole Phuket area, they made sure we catched our boat when we checked out by calling the company and organizing the transfer without worrying about anything. Renting the scooter directly there is the best thing considering that the resort is isolated like most of the things in the island. Breakfast is huge with lot of choices and everything is super fresh is delicious.

Wifi was not working in our room. The bathroom was a bit simple but quite big.

The front desk lady is super friendly and helpful! She helped us a lot, with the check in ( she managed an early check-in for us), arranging transfers and explaining all the best places in the island. It was also really convenient to rent a scooter for a nice price in the hotel. The room was big and clean, with a nice sea view. The breakfast was good, not that much choice but everything was fresh and always replacing when something was missing

We didn't have hot water on the first day and it was already late to call the janitor. But the next day they were prompt to solve it. The interior of the bathroom could use a little bit of an upgrade, it's a bit outdated, with some painting falling and no sense stickers.

First impressions count, and the first impression is the view - stunning karst scenery from the chill out area, no one could get bored with that view! We were given a choice of rooms and opted for a smaller bedroom but with an outside shower, which I loved! Lovely room - a big comfy bed with mosquito net, veranda with loungers, and plenty of space. Amazing food in the restaurant, with beer and wine available - thank you NuNu. Kayaking is available (extra fee), which provides a different set of stunning views. Sufficient bars and restaurants are within walking distance, those that we sampled were all good.
