Staff friendly and very helpful. We left hotel on Thursday 17th April. We checked out, and we caught the bus towards taunton railway station. Due to an accident and roads closed, we returned back to the hotel and explained what the situation was. The staff kindly said if we really need the room for the night, he will make sure the room is available for us. A few hours later, the road was back to normal, and buses were running again. We are so thankful for staff at Stones Hotel and Bar.

Nothing, only a small problem, they forgot to put heating on and no hot water the night we arrived. But we are ok with that.

Stunning hotel, fantastic breakfast, excellent location, excellent very clean comfortable room, staff were SO friendly and very cheerful, the bonus in our view was there was 10 percent of our lovely dinner cauliflower/ broccoli cheese !! AMAZING. we highly recommend this amazing hotel. Will Definitely visit again. Many thanks to ALL the kind hard working staff 5 stars all the way ✨️

The room was spacious, clean, well equipped and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, and the bedside socket ideal for my health requirements. The shower and WC were in good working order, clean, and beautifully soft water. Staff were available 24-7 and were professional and helpful. Breakfast was very good, with loads of choice according to taste, and the on-site chef was very skilled - including making the most wonderful pizza on a Thursday evening. My main reason for choosing this location was to be able to walk up onto Exmoor (North Hill), and for the bus links to Exmoor beyond Porlock and Lynmouth, and also the villages in land.

I wish that I'd been able to stay for several weeks instead on just the one.

Hotel stay excellent! Room and bathroom very clean and good size. Beds comfortable. Staff member for check in was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent and staff serving at breakfast were lovely. Great location for beach and shops.

Booked a table to eat, we were sent to find our table where there were menus waiting. All decided we wanted pizza and then we spotted it didn't look like pizza oven was on, went to ask staff and they said no pizzas. Good customer service would be to tell customers a large part of menu not available before they decide what they are going to order. Staff not very attentive and we felt forgotten in "restaurant" area. No one checked food ok, plates not collected for ages after we had finished. The food we ordered was good but service was disappointing.

I really liked my stay at Stones – the property was excellent overall. The rooms were spacious and very clean, which made for a comfortable stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help. The breakfast was also excellent, with a great variety and quality. Highly recommend!

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mostly positive experience. The room was small but clean and quiet, which was impressive considering it was located above a bar. It had all the essentials we needed and was very reasonably priced. The location is a huge plus—just a short walk to the beach and all the main attractions, making it super convenient for sightseeing.

The one downside was the breakfast. Unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. The options were limited, not healthy options, and the quality of the food wasn't great—nothing seemed fresh.

Room was a family large and comfy and very clean. Staff were very accommodating. Location excellent right by sea front and all amenities. We loved it!

I have an electric wheelchair very heavy so being on the second floor with no lift was a bummer. However the staff rallied and allowed me to leave it safe plugged in downstairs. The entrance for a wheelchair is extremely tight.

Gem of a hotel in a fantastic location. The family room was perfect for 2 adults and a 13 yr old son. Outstanding breakfast (full English was made of high quality items & very generous). Decent amount of parking too.

There were 2 steep staircases up to our room, which would make it a challenging stay for those with mobility issues but it was definitely worth the climb as wonderful views across Minehead & very quiet.

Too many stairs....quite steep, not ideal if you have any mobility issues or a dog with you. Absolutely nothing for the dog....no water bowl, treats, poo bags....nothing. Not so much as a sausage at breakfast time! And it cost us an extra £20 for the privilege...over the top if you ask me.

The breakfast was excellent, the shower was amazing loved it, the overall atmosphere of the Stones was airey, open, fresh and friendly very pleased with the pub and the stone baked pizza we ate in the evening.

The bed we found was too hard for our liking, and we could have done with two pillows, both the floors in the bedroom and bathroom creaked when you walked across them which woke us up when either of us got out of bed to go to the bathroom during the night
