A beautiful historic property with incredible views, attentive staff, gorgeous rooms and comfortable beds. They have a gorgeous spa built on a Roman bath.

There is really no downside unless you have an upstairs room and you’re not comfortable with stairs. If you have mobility problems, be sure to check the location of your room in advance. Having said that, all of Assisi involves going up and down steep inclines.

The Spa Facilities are superb. The hotel staff are very helpful. The location is fantastic in a beautiful area. Its a very relaxing place which delivers.

Possibly the hotel could provide info re the car parking for arrival as if you go past the hotel you have to go in a big loop to get back there some of which is not on google maps

Breakfast had a good selection, also freshly cooked dishes, the spa is really special, it’s built into an ancient temple underground, and the massages we got twice were simply outstanding. Really central location, everything is in reach by foot. Good design, a quiet place for a relaxing stay.

Two things we were missing: some kind of lounge or relaxation area, also the bar isn’t really a bar. Due to the heat during our stay an outdoor pool would have been much appreciated. Other than that nothing to complain about.

The spa is over the top. My husband had a massage and loved it. The breakfast was very good, and it’s also very close to a great pizza place. Assisi is a very special place, unspoiled. This property is within walking distance of the city center and many shops. The development of this historic property is of the highest quality. Go.

The staff were superb. We were greeted by Carlos and the team with such a warm welcome. We were able to check-in early and had a complimentary glass of prosecco which was a nice surprise. Throughout orlur stay Carlos and Co. were warm, friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for a stroll into town and the hotel occupies a proud position at the top of the hill. The star of the show here is the spa. A subterranean grotto of luxury unearthed in 2010 and transformed into a breathtaking experiential wellness centre. Included in our stay was an exclusive 2-hour traditional roman spa circuit and it was incredible. Thank you, Carlos and team for making our visit so unforgettable. We will be back!

Second stay, nothing disappoints ; the staff is extremely friendly and professional, room was spacious, breakfast excellent, pool and garden are a real plus. Excellent spa treatment.

Breakfast was buffet style for the standard bread, cheese cakes, yoghurt and fruit, there was also a small menu for eggs waffles/pancakes & porridge from the kitchen. It was all very well presented. The hotel is stunning, beautiful spa facilities and lovely gardens. The whole place is super. Bonus being that we travelled with our little whippet who was made very welcome - tho do bear in mind that if booking via a third party there are only 2 rooms which they allow dogs into. 1 suite and 1 standard room which have entry from the courtyard. We booked and paid for the suite but we’re unable to have it as the room had already been allocated. The cost was non refundable via booking.com! Thank fully the hotel accommodated us in the standard room and offered us free parking and no charge for the dog. They didn’t have to do this and personally I thought it was a very kind gesture.

We had the chance of booking the suite nr.10, enjoying the full and exclusive view of the fantastic 1610 wall fresco belonging to the ancient convent just for us, a special and worthwhile perk if you wish to go for it!
