A little slice of heaven is how I'd describe Tamodi. People from big cities sometimes just want to get away from it all and just relax, this is a great place for that. The view is breathtaking and waking up to that every morning is beyond amazing. The chalet I was in was huge with modern amenities and it was just picture perfect. Everything you could ever need was available including a wine cellar! The beach is a short drive away and there are good restaurants nearby. Lynne and Owen were great hosts and their staff are very friendly!

As a solo traveler, I felt safe the entire time but it would be nice to know that there is some form of patrol of some sort on such a huge property or added security just to be that bit extra comfortable. Maybe I'm just used to how unsafe bigger cities like Jo'burg are but having security visible is a big necessity for me. Maybe this is available and I'm just not aware of it!

Oh my goodness, where do I start? Everything was perfect and this is not an overstatement! Thank you so much to Lynne, Owen & Chelsea, your personal attention to detail, kindness and hospitality were more than we could have imagined. Thanks for all the chats and for sharing so many of your stories regarding your beautiful Lodge. I miss my baby girl Diana so much but I just know she will fly free at Birds Of Eden very soon and our stay with you will always remain in our hearts. xx

Sadly we were only able to stay 2 nights.

Honeymoon suite is huge but also cozy I loved it. Views from the bed and private deck are just perfect 😍. The private pool is a great feature, just too cold for winter travels lol. The set-up for self-catering is proper, they have an air fryer too so you can actually get mini groceries for a quick lunch/dinner should you not wish to go out.

Was really disappointed when I found out they wouldn’t be serving breakfast either, that it was also self serviced☹️ Hope that they get to reopen their kitchen at some point so that one can get to sleep in if they wish; and especially if you really want to be on holiday mode and not do anything.

I liked everything about the property. Our room has two showers, one indoor and one outdoor. The walk in cupboard meant we could keep our room tidy as we stayed 4 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. I fairly deep plunge pool was put in good use morning and night. The location is perfect, tucked in the Tsitsikamma forest and between Plettenberg Bay and Natures Valley meant the attractions we were interested in visiting within easy access. As no meals are served, Enricos is the restaurant down the road and on the sea- it’s food is excellent with the setting dramatic! The staff are wonderful, friendly and couldn’t do enough. Everyone visiting this part of the world should get to experience Tamodi, it will not disappoint.

I loved everything about the property. Although I would advise, as it is self catering to include a small stove and pot to at least boil an egg in. The owner Owen was very kind and prepared eggs for us when asked without an issue.

This place is really one of a kind. The accommodation and the rooms are spotless and the view is stunning. The Hosts, Owen and Lynne are super nice and make you feel so welcomed. The nature is perfect to relax in piece and quiet.

Wonderful place run by wonderful people. We could not have enjoyed it more, and as with so many other reviewers, reckoned it was the nicest place we stayed during 2week tour of the Cape.

Superb location with a great view into the mountains. Lynn and Owen are great hosts. Super spacious. Great breakfast and fantastic wine cellar. Will come again.

Perfect. Beautiful location and the room had everything you could ever wish for. We loved lighting the log burner during load shedding. Everything possible had been thought of to make our stay wonderful.

We just wish we could have stayed longer.

The accommodation offered everything I needed and the incredible view and surroundings were an added bonus. The unit suited all my needs and the quality of the linen, towels, etc. were just perfect. The bed is guaranteed to offer a good sleep! I felt safe to take walks on the property and the staff were kind and supportive.

Not negative, but I would have loved to visit the wine cellar as I am a wine collector and always looking for great wines. It was closed due to COVID regulations.

Expensive for south africa , we did not get a chance to use pool weather was bad but not hotels fault, Maybe offer more local info maps some walking routes nearby etc
