The greatest aspect of the property is the people who run it. From the manager Inselson, to Fina, Okto and others made us feel like a family. In terms of facilities - the layout, the swimming pool, the mangrove trees - together they made for a great mood. The Joglo cottage we stayed in had outstanding decor, and was the perfect setting for our couple experience. And not to forget the half-bust man, who make for an intriguing sight in the night, with sea waves lashing around him. :-)

It’s work in progress. So, it’s possibly a bit unfair to say “didn’t like”. But they have a bit of finishing work going on at one end of the property. Once done, I expect that section to look as great as the rest of the property.

The location is nice if you would you see more of the island and get outside the “resort” area. The surrounding beaches are nice - we swam in the ocean and enjoyed the pool area a lot. We also biked (complimentary) to the top of the peninsular so it was nice to see the local area. Everyone is very friendly. The restaurant is great, the food is delicious and the staff were all very friendly. We love the beachfront villa for a more rustic experience. The mangrove park is stunning and there’s beach hammock chairs right above the water to relax in.

We enjoyed the realness of the facility - we didn’t mind a longer dinner wait when the restaurant was busy. We brought snacks as the shops nearby have limited supplies. It would be great if the ground staff started to remove some of the rubbish that builds up around the mangroves. This resort has so much potential!!! Bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise as the night fisherman are going out to sea during the night.

Amazing place. Away from people. Staff were too nice it felt surreal. Like we were all friends. On the second night we even had a karaoke session with the boss 😂 Please come to this place. It might be further away from most of the attractions but if your goal is to detach from social media and the like - i cannot recommend a better place.

Might be abit far from places and restaurants. But the food that they serve is super good. We ate fried calamari for every dinner (along with other dishes of course) and we couldnt get enough of it. Btw you can rent a motorbike for the whole day ($12).

The food is delicious, staffs are very welcoming, also the room is cozy with great scenery. Overall, it’s a pleasant experience staying here. Definitely will come back again 💯

Location is a bit far from city, thankfully there’s pickup & dropoff service with reasonable price provided by the resort.

The staff were exceptional in their service. Room and bathroom were clean! You can rent a cot for a fee, comes with mosquito net and changing table, my baby slept so well. The food was fantastic too, we loved the beef rendang fried rice and Padang style crab. The staff were very understanding in helping me store ice packs for my breast milk cooler. It was lovely to walk around the resort with my baby, there’s a network of pavements you can use the stroller on (albeit a little uneven at some places). The beach was clean and the water was so clear! Low tide is nice for a little walk on the beach. Though the resort is situated on a stretch of mangrove beach, the part in front of the palm beach villas is sandy. It was quiet when we went, not many other guests. A special shout out to Flora who was attentive to our needs.

The car ride from BBT terminal is long and windy, though the drivers tried their best to make the ride safe and comfortable! The room’s floorboards would creak at some parts when stepped on - to be expected for a wooden house, but it did make it challenging (not impossible) to creep around when baby was asleep.

Wonderful staff at Bintan Exotica, very helpful. A nice quiet resort to chill out and relax. We had a nice little villa facing sunrise on the beach area. All the comforts of home. Activities you can partake in or just swim in the pool to relax. Breakfast options included and a varied lunch and dinner menu, mainly Asian but a few western items. We had a lovely five nights to relax on Bintan in the middle of our 2 week Singapore vacation from Australia.

The hour from the ferry might bother some people but we enjoyed seeing a bit more of Bintan. Our driver (extra fee for pick up/drop off) was punctual.

1. price wise bit expensive for food and if you hire a car 2. break fast food item should increased more 1 or 2 3. resort beach not too cleaned but you can enjoy, it's not that dirty/bad if you travel alone or with family you will enjoy a lot

+The staff is the very best! Everyone I interacted with was very kind and accomodating. Great breakfast (huge menu served over lunch + dinner), gorgeous grounds and landscape, many nice spots to sit and relax, the rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The ocean was clean and swimable. Quiet atmosphere.

-I was disappointed because the pool and beaches were not usable when I was there (still areas to sit and look at the water and places to swim easily). The pool was very green (they said it was safe to swim but I wasn't sure), one beach had construction (when this is finished this beach will be very nice), and the other beach had a ton of seaweed and a bit of trash. Once these things are resolved, I believe it will be a perfect place.

I like that it was very quiet, without many people and no street noise/ parties etc So it’s great if you’re looking for a place to fully chill and relax! The staff was exceptional, very attentive and super nice from the moment we arrived! Let us change the room to a better one easily, and always greeted us with a smile! Great post-stay help from the manager Icon, who went all out to make sure little transport hiccup was solved immediately!

The only thing was the beach area - extreme to the right and extreme to the left - it could be swept and prepared for guests to enjoy as it was full of seaweed and some rubbish The sea itself is super clean with clear water and fishes

The staff, including Caroline, Inselsen, Granny, and everyone else, go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. Amazing vegetarian and non-vegetarian Indonesian food and delicacies for both breakfast and dinner buffets, which was amazing considering my wife is a vegetarian. Nice to order menu, but it is only available till 3pm daily. Absolutely amazing, Granny with her recipes that are served and her smiling face to explain them plus to give candies to kids. They have made the place very kids friendly for families with kids who stay, and it was clearly visible during our stay.

There is no room service currently. It's a new place (opened just 4 months back), so their plan of action is to introduce this in the near future plus a in house bar. The Wifi is quite choppy, so don't expect to run your OTT apps without buffering every few seconds or be on social media throughout. I saw it as a chance to disconnect. I don't think it's something the restaurant can do much about. Just hope that it improves in the future. The toilet seats/pots were constricted in space, so it might be a challenge for larger people to sit comfortably (only in the room we stayed). The resort is secluded, so don't expect to walk around to nearby cafes, restaurants, etc. Anything would need you to hire a cab. We were fine without any of it as we stayed just for 2 nights.
