What a special place this is! The studio is even nicer than the photos here can show—in particular, the lounge area is bigger than I’d expected but it’s hard to photograph—with a very well equipped kitchen, and beautiful, comfortable touches throughout. Beryl and Malcolm went absolutely out of their way to make us feel welcome and at ease. Their gardens are inspirational. They gave us very useful recommendations for exploring the wonderful local area, and further afield. I hope to return soon!

Loved the location! It was quiet and beautifully situated. We stayed in the studio which has everything you need for a comfortable relaxing stay. Beryl and Malcolm are great hosts, making you very welcome on arrival and are there if you need anything throughout your stay.

It was a little cold but that was soon fixed by a quick chat with Beryl and an extra heater was supplied.

We loved this property in a quiet area of Devon. We were in the old part of the house and had access to a separate lounge and dining area. We decided to have breakfast which our host Malcolm made for us, there was a good selection of food, including freshly laid eggs. We were made to feel very welcome and would love to return.

We enjoyed the homemade jams and the freshly laid eggs from the hens in the garden. It was lovely to sit outside on the terrace for breakfast on a sunny morning. We enjoyed the birdsong and the ambience of the old cottage that was tastefully restored and extended.

A softer headboard.

The best B&B we've ever stayed in! Absolutely gorgeous setting! Lovely spacious bedroom with a very comfortable bed. We also loved having our own little sitting room overlooking the garden. Exceptionally welcoming and thoughtful hosts and an amazing breakfast! We'd love to stay again.

Lovely location. Very peaceful and quiet. Hosts were very welcoming..

Advertised as bed and breakfast so we thought breakfast would be included in the price as other places we have been too it was included. Unfortunately not here. You had to pay extra. This was a bit disappointing. So we had to eat out.

Very nice friendly hosts. Our room was comfortable and had a lot of character Milk supplied which was great as no shop for miles Lovely surroundings and grounds Blackbury camp is nearby and very beautiful with the bluebells out.

The roads are in poor condition off the main roads. We drove up a road with huge holes and a sign at the end of the road saying road closed but not at the beginning. At 12pm at night not great.

The accommodation itself is cute, well equiped and has an inviting kitchen. There is good wifi. You have direct access to a terrace that has both sun and shade during the daytime. In addition, it is an absolute floral delight. You also have access to a beautiful terraced garden that surrounds the main house where the hosts live (the accomodation is an annex to the main house). You are in the middle of English countryside at its hilly, hedgy best and only a few miles inland from the centre of the striking and diverse Jurassic Coast. There is convenient shopping within a 10 to 15 minutes drive in Sidmouth and Seaton. Last but definitely not least, the hosts are very welcoming and helpful and seem genuinely invested in you enjoying your stay as much as possible.

We provided our own breakfast. However, Beryl and Malcolm very kindly provided produce from their own garden as a welcome and tasty supplement.

We arrived to find that we had booked in to the B&B side of their business when we thought we had booked the self-catering part. This was not a problem as Beryl and Malcolm provided a full sized fridge and a microwave, along with the exclusive use of the dining room for our breakfasts. The issue seems to be the listing on booking.com not defining clearly the difference between the two sides of the business facilities.
