Lovely B&B in a beautiful setting, five minutes drive away from the beautiful town and seafront of Sidmouth. This time it was our base to go out for long walks and fossil hunting in Charmouth. Good breakfast, great bed. I can see why many customers rate this place with a ten.

On arrival we were the only guests, but we learned that regular customers would come the next days. So we were placed in the last room on the corridor. The regular CV can’t get this room onto themperature, but an electric heater stood ready to solve this. The shower is hard to mix to the right themperature and what comes out as a result is not impressive.

The location of this farmhouse was beautiful, tranquil, and had “character”. The peace of this area enabled a good nights sleep, and the next day would start well with a superb breakfast. The owners were extremely hospitable and attentive to our needs. All in all, a very pleasant stay. Thank you.

Unfortunately, the location could only be reached by a mile or so of narrow country lanes, which occasionally resulted in a variety of things coming towards you, such as other cars, delivery vans, horse riders, motor bikes, etc. However, this is a rural setting, and has to be expected, and there are a few passing points. This is just a small observation.

Our hosts were very friendly helpful and courteous, and made our 3 night stay very comfortable. The breakfasts were glorious, all served in a very professional manner. Our room (bedroom 1) was spacious, comfortable and very quiet (the mini fridge to keep the fresh milk cool, was a nice touch). The location was spot-on for us, making it ideal for touring about. The overall feel of the Farmhouse made us feel very relaxed - So quiet, and we loved the countryside location. We had an evening meal at The Blue Ball Inn, which was really very nice (you'll need to book). We also had an evening meal at The Hare & Hounds, which was also very nice but it was very, very busy (we called in on a Sunday, and you'll definitely need to book).

Nothing, it was all good with everything suiting our needs.

Well presented property in lovely countryside. While breakfast was the only meal provided it was good and filling with "full English" for those wanting it. The proprietor was friendly, helpful and accommodated my own need to have an early breakfast in time for my race.

There was nothing that I didn't like. One small point that I noted a lack of brochures on local amenities and sightseeing options that might prove helpful to those new to the area who have not already done their own research. My trip was out of season and more details may well be available for guests during the main holiday season.

Breakfast was first class. Excellent choice and service. The owners were lovely people and couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. All facilities were excellent. Room very comfortable. The extra touches e.g. a small fridge in our room with fresh milk every day for tea and coffee making. We would highly recommend Buckley Farm for a stay near Sidmouth.

The shower cubicle was on the small side.

Excellent breakfast: plenty of choice in a comfortable dining room, well presented and service with a smile! Though we hardly used it, the guests' sitting room was a bonus, and bedroom spacious and very clean and comfortable. Second bedroom would be a little squashed for a couple but fine for our son (single occupancy) and had a spacious ensuite.

The only complaint would not be the fault of the owners; potholed service roads needing love and care by the Highways dept, but the setting was enough to make up for this.

Perfectly situated for our needs, Buckley Farmhouse is a spotlessly clean, well appointed venue nestled in a tranquil location away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. The hosts are wonderful, genuinely happy to welcome you into their home and ensure your stay is comfortable and relaxed. The cooked breakfast, made with local produce, and cooked to order is not to be missed!

The location was beautiful and tranquil the room was lovely and comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic with absolutely loads of alternatives to suit everybody. Susan the owner was lovely , would definitely stay again if in the area.

Nothing everything was perfect, the weather was great , Sidmouth town centre was very nice with lots of different shops, possibly lacking a couple of decent restaurants also the price of drinks at the Marine on the sea front were a bit over the top.

The farmhouse is in a lovely setting. Comfortable room. Yummy breakfast. Sue was very attentive at breakfast time, catering to all our needs, including ground decaf coffee. Fresh milk in our room instead of those silly little plastic pots that some b & bs use. Have stayed before and would stay again.

Very narrow lanes leading to and from the property but not enough to put you off booking.

The hosts Sue and John were exceptional. Welcoming, interested, nothing too much trouble and made us feel really at home. Their home is in a beautiful setting, bedroom beautifully equipped, down to fine detail such as fresh milk in a mini fridge, refreshed daily. Breakfast was delicious, with a full choice on offer, lovely presentation and fried bread not to be missed. There was a very well appointed residents lounge and the house was beautifully dressed for Christmas. We will definitely be back. Thank you both.
