Quirky hotel with individual rooms, good sized and well furnished. All ensuite with fun meandering corridors. Excellent choice for the included breakfast, great food.

The hotel accepts dogs which are a pain when they start barking and wake you up

We were wonderfully greeted and made to feel comfortable and cared for during our whole stay. The age and quirkiness of the building and rooms meant we had a unique experience and yet there was no sacrifice on the quality of the furnishings. The view of the sea is worth the money, even on a cold summer's day. And both the double & twin rooms were lovely. The breakfast and dinner were also fabulous. Would recommend booking your dinner ahead so you don't miss out!

The water pressure was weak in the shower. And with the historic houses you are never going to get big rooms. But if you embrace this as an opportunity to experience some genuine seaside accommodation, you will not be disappointed.

Leo was just fantastic great host and so lovely to chat to. A period property just a short walk to the sea front, restaurants and shops. Cracking view of the sea from the breakfast room and the decking outside, the breakfast was so delicious with a great selection too-and the coffee percolating to perfection, and its help yourself too-plenty for me!! The rooms are quaint and just what you need for a few days-period features are all over the place for those interested in architecture. Great choice of movies on the tv, plenty of tea, coffee, milk and complimentary custard cream biscuits. I will definitely be returning. Thanks Leo.

the hotel is clean, the room is a good size with a comfy bed. they serve a good breakfast and a nice choice for dinner as well. parking close by is great with enough spaces. for those travelling with a pet our doggy was accepted in the restaurant as well. there is a nice little garden for night need and there is a little forest walk by the hotel. You can also take the dog on the beach. Nice little town centre for shopping and eating

a light didn't work in our room, can be noisy especially if the room is over the reception area where the main door is. top of a very steep hill which needs to be flagged to less mobile guests as it is quite hard to park by the beach yet there is a bus close by.

Room 12 at the top of the building had lovely sea view, was large and comfortable. Good selection of tea, coffee, etc in the room. Bed was comfortable, room clean although quite warm. We were advised that the lounge area with bar would close if there were there was no-one it in but we would still be welcome to use the chairs, garden, etc. We came back from dinner around 9pm and the lounge area was dark and the bar closed. We couldn't find a light for the lounge area so ventured to the garden which was also pitch black. Some low lighting in the lounge area or solar lighting in the garden would have helped considerably. We sat out for about 30 mins but it was so dark we were nervous of tripping or falling on our way back to the rooms. Breakfast was lovely, full English, however the coffee was very weak and would advise ordering tea instead. The accommodation was in a great location for the town and was quiet in the evening.

We had no toilet paper on arrival although the lovely lady on reception sought some for us immediately. The toilet didn't flush particularly well and we needed to pour a kettle of cold water with each flush to ensure the waste (just paper) was cleared. Couldn't report to reception when discovered as was after 10pm and no-one available. Reported to reception on leaving. Shower has no pressure, just a dribble, probably due to being at the top of the building.

Breakfast was Excellent.. Good choice of meals and all were excellently presented and cooked to perfection.!

Room was very comfortable however because of the age of the building the ceiling height was quite low which resulted in the room got hot quickly when the sun shone and being on the top floor the heat was concentrated in our room. Wouldn't have been bearable during the very hot spells we've had recently. My suggestion would be to install air conditioning.

The garden and view was beautiful....on our second day when the sun came out it felt like we were abroad. Good choice of food for breakfast, the evening meal was very tasty and portions were huge...they had there own parking which was a big plus .

Only a couple of things... first just a personal issue for me..food smells wafting into our room as the kitchen was at the bottom of the stairs and always had the door open...and secondly the toilet roll holder kept falling off the wall.

Initially unable to locate the car park, but got there in the end it is actually directly opposite the hotel in Pound rd. Friendly greeting on arrival. Room on second floor, no lift. Room faced the main road so noisy first thing in the morning, as it's a busy road into Lyme Regis. Windows are double glazed. Medium sized room, small en suite with shower. Coffee, tea etc available. Decided to eat in the restaurant our first night, busy, food very good best chips I have had in a long time, the lamb, although a little pink, was delicious. No room for desert. The hotel is situated at the top of Silver St, only a short stroll into the town, decent walk back! Good choice for breakfast.

Nothing really, except it was a little noisy as a main route into Lyme.

It’s in a good location away from the town centre and has a free private car park opposite. The rear garden is lovely and the room was comfortable. The breakfast was very good. There is a steep walk up from the sea front but this is the geography of this seaside town.

It is a very old building so some things can be forgiven but some of the corridors and walls could do with redecoration. Standard things like empty soap containers in the room could have been avoided. The evening meal was good not great. There was a long wait for courses and the main meal. Which annoyed some diners.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Location was ok. Clean and tidy. Breakfast was very good. Nice breafast room. Evening meal was very generous portions. I had a huge burger. But we were the only ones there! Parking available.

Bathroom was a bit small and shower was very noisy. Wood chip wallpaper. Looked a bit scruffy in places. Evening meal needed a little finesse as although very generous, the fish was a bit overcooked. Bit of a hike back up the hill from the beach. Good exercise I guess.
