Beautiful family run hotel situated right on the seafront. I stayed in a room with a balcony and sea view, it was large, windows on two sides, airy and decorated to a high standard. A lovely addition of a bathrobe on the bed, toiletries to use, a large walk in shower with rainfall shower head. The bed was comfy, lots of towels and tea/coffee facilities. All who work there are very welcoming, friendly and polite. There is an abundance of choice for breakfast from juices, cereals, pastries to cooked food, all well presented and tasty. The lunch time menu has lots to offer along with an evening menu too.
Nothing, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will come back.

It all went well. the Staff are lovely and all so helpful. Food is lovely. Room is lovely and our balcony was amazing. We had the door open all night and could seen the moon on the water. One night it was the most amazing strawberry moon. We just lay in bed and enjoyed the view.
I needed to get my mobility rollator in and out and it would have been easier if both the double doors were left open instead of just one. But any staff nearby immediately helped me if they say me struggling. The hotel is listed so they cant have ramps put in but it would make a big difference if the entrance double doors were both kept open which widens the doorway.

Very friendly welcome and help with finding a space for the car. Reception was the best I have ever experienced. Above and beyond on arrival and on departure. We ate our meals at the hotel because we found it easy and convenient and they were all very nice. We liked being in a location that was easy to pop back to from the town or the beach and we liked having sea front rooms. The windows and balcony doors kept out the noise of the sea when shut. Surprising how noisy the sea is when the window is open! But that's because it's just across the road. Brilliant. Housekeeping staff were also very helpful.

Superb hotel ,had room 15,stunning view.Amazing professional friendly helpful staff ,reception and restaurant .Debbie, Susan ,and restaurant staff are a credit to your hotel. Was very impressed with slip mat and handrail in shower,so helpful for people with mobility problems cleaning feet ,makes you feel safe. Also the added extras of convector heater, extra blanket and biscuits in room, don't always get these extras in 4 or 5 star hotels. Loved that it welcomed dogs, and that it was just around the corner from Triangle bus stop to Donkey Sanctuary
If being very picky, have a few big colourful pictures in the main restaurant to just enhance its elegance.

We had room 29, 2nd floor corner. Views of the sea from two directions and a balcony - perfect! We took our dog and in the room was a doggy blanket and some treats, a lovely touch. Because we had a dog we could not sit in the main dining room for breakfast, but this was not a problem, as they had a separate area called "the shed" which was comfortable and quiet, the dog even got her own sausage! Excellent choice at buffet breakfast and a veggie breakfast. Could not fault this hotel and will definitely be returning.... As long as I get room 29!!
One evening people were eating fish in the bar area and it stunk!

Whole hotel seems to have been recently refurbished, room nicely decorated, even communal corridor carpets looked nearly new. Nice bar with a proper cask ale [Otter Bitter] - very good. Cooked breakfast was excellent. We upgraded to one of the rooms with sea view and balcony, well worth it if you are lucky with the weather.
No issues with hotel. Parking is in high demand, tip - if staying out of season [up to end of March] there is a council parking scheme at West Ham car park [5m walk] which allows 4 hours parking for £2 - since we were only there one night was able to pay £2 for Sat afternoon, parking free after 6pm, then another £2 for Sun morning from 8 am [using Ringo app]. Considerably cheaper than the private car park opposite hotel.

The location is amazing, right on The Esplanade and unlike some of the properties along there has well refurbished, modern rooms. Our room (29) had a double aspect, with a window at the side and then double full length doors leading onto a small balcony with 2 chairs. We were able to see the sunset and the sunrise as well as looking over the sea and all along The Esplanade. All the members of staff we met were enthusiastic, warm and informative
The walls are quite thin and we were woken by our neighbours in the room next door. The balcony felt a bit unsafe with an undulating floor and low railing.

from the moment we entered the hotel it felt welcoming and well maintained. The room was ready before the actual time we were given and the staff were wonderful helping my mother get her mobility trolley in through the door. the room was wonderful , lovely decor , the walk in shower looked new , everything we needed was there. the beds were comfortable and everything was exceptionally clean . the view from the room was so lovely and we would have loved to sit on the balcony with our afternoon tea but weather did not permit. breakfast was amazing , continental, full english, eggs different ways , salmon , everything you could ever want , food was hot and all looked fresh . coffee was good , choice of fruit juices. we didnt stay for dinner as met friends in town.
not much , the only thing i would suggest is turn the heating off at night as it became far too warm and we had to open windows. a little difficult with getting a mobility frame up the steps into reception and having to pat £15 fort overnight in te car park opposite the hotel but other than that nothing to complain about.

A fabulous hotel, i had low expectations as it was quite cheap but I was pleasantly surprised. We had a lovely welcome at reception and the view from my balcony was fabulous. Fantastic service at breakfast, staff were professional and friendly. Everything ran very smoothly. I feel the hotel has absolutely nailed everything.
Nothing really but being picky, it's an old building, the floors are creaky and doors squeaky. Walls a little thin, i could hear my neighbours TV but I'm a very light sleeper. Nothing some ear plugs couldn't fix.

A lovely hotel with very efficient, friendly and helpful staff. Our super king room with a partial sea view was spacious and comfortable. We loved the large shower and the toiletries provided. There was a good choice of offerings at breakfast and we liked the sociable nature of the dining room. It was very busy because of the folk festival and we were impressed by the way that everyone was so welcome to take over the bars and play or listen to music. A lovely stay and we are looking forward to the next one.
Our king size bed had a very comfortable mattress but it was beginning to slope slightly on one side. It would be great if the door stop near the bed could either be moved or padded. Although we loved the large shower it meant that access to the loo was a little cramped. No parking.
