Absolutely lovely staff and a beautiful space. The host was exceptional - so kind and welcoming! The room was lovely and the common areas drenched in sunlight. The location is very very quiet on a small picturesque road. Perfect walking distance to the beach.

All was well! I would only say our bed was a bit worn out in its springs/cushion. I don't mind, but if you had back issues I think some might need to request specifically for a supportive bed.

This is a small hotel in a very quiet road only a short walk to the seafront and beach and to the high street where there are shops, restaurants etc. The owners Brian and Lorraine as well as all the staff are very welcoming and friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Breakfast is great, especially when sitting on the terrace overlooking the garden on a sunny morning.

Lovely large en suite bedrooms. Dining room was good size and breakfast was fantastic made using all local produce. Off road parking available.

Only a small thing - a small fridge in the bedroom would be really good - it was very hot whilst there and it would have been nice to store drinks in. Only a suggestion though and nothing negative.

Very comfortable room, good breakfast choice and table service. Attentive host and homely ambience.

Provision of toiletries was not as expected. As our stay was for a few days I planned to use shampoo provided, however there was none! Had to go and buy some. Also body wash in a hand pump bottle awkward to use in shower where there was no basket or shelf to put it!

Very friendly welcome. Lovely, large, bright room with big comfortable bed, two chairs and plenty of storage. Balcony to beautiful garden was a bonus too. Large wet room en suite. All high standard of cleanliness. Wide variety of choices for breakfast, well cooked and well presented.

Everything was very good.

Everything was so relaxed and comfortable. Room was a standard double and the bed was very comfortable. The room was described as cosy but ample room to access both sides of bed and walk around. Bathroom good Size and shower spacious. We didn't feel at all claustrophobic. Great location and wonderful breakfast. Brian and Lorraine were so welcoming .

A bit hit and miss in Budleigh Salterton for eating out. Most places closed , although vuaured 16 to 20 July, or only open specific times. Check online first and reserve tables.

A great place. Excellent location. Really good welcome and was really well looked after as a guest. Brian and Lorraine made sure I had everything I needed. The breakfasts were excellent. Good to have the conservatory as a public space to sig as well as the lovely terrace: there is also a comfy lounge. I would definitely come back.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Brian was most welcoming and friendly during my stay. The breakfast was perfect - not too much, not too little but very tasty and healthy. The Lounge and Conservatory were most comfortable and the garden was lovely. The views from my room and from the Conservatory are magnificent.

I would like to have had the option of an evening meal and an open bar.

Lorraine & Brian were very friendly, welcoming hosts, who couldn't do enough to make you feel at home. The room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit and a lovely cooked breakfast. Really great accommodation, would highly recommend!

The location is excellent - an easy stroll into Budleigh Salterton. The customer service is outstanding. Brian and Lorraine made us feel very welcome and we cannot fault their amazing hospitality. Thank you for a lovely week and amazing breakfasts.
