The welcome when we arrived was very friendly, and helpful. Our room was big and spacious with a gorgeous sea view. We had paid extra for the superior double room with sea view and we weren't disappointed. The location was good as we could walk to the harbour for dinner both evenings and along the seafront for coffees and ice creams during the day. It was just lovely not to have to drive for a couple of days.

I was a little disappointed with quality of the cooked breakfast. There was a good choice of cereals, yoghurts and pastries etc, and a buffet style cooked options with plenty of toast, tea and coffee. Sadly i felt the cooked buffet style didn't work as the food was sat in covered hot plates and i felt some of the food overcooked, hard, or not cooked enough before putting them in the hot plates. Overall the team were extremely pleasant and friendly and they were quick to help and there was plenty to eat and you could go back for 2nd which is a bonus.

The room was large and comfortable. Tea and coffee provided and staff were happy to provide more when asked. The room was very hot (our stay was during the mini heatwave!) but staff were able to provide a fan for the duration of our stay. The bathroom was very pleasant with a decent shower and a huge corner bath with jacuzzi facility. I'm sure this room had been recently refurbished but it had been done very well, providing a modern, comfortable space.

The only reason I didn't give full marks for facilities is that we didn't try breakfast - what I saw and smelt seemed nice enough though.

Well situated. Close to marvelous cafe in the nearby park - delicious scones - Bumblebee cafe - and the centre of town was only a few minutes away. Saw lots of eating places in the town, and there were lots of shops to explore. Good fish restaurant - Rockfish restaurant - in the other direction. On site parking. Ferris wheel a short drive away. Very quiet and peacful, and a couple of reading/relaxing lounges downstairs.

Difficult to pick out the hotel in the long row of windows as no signage immediately apparent. Steps to hotel have "WH" engraved at the entrance.

The location is really good - right on the sea front. After reading a few not so great reviews I went with an open mind but was pleasantly surprised. The hotel and rooms have been renovated. Very comfortable bed and we slept well. Lovely new bathroom and good shower. The room was light and airy. We arrived a bit early but our room was ready and we were able to secure a parking spot in the Hotel grounds at £6 per 24hrs and came and went as we pleased. Polite Reception staff.

On returning one evening our parking slot had been pinched by another car. The man on Reception gave us another immediately. On lifting the shower trap cover there were long dark hairs caught in the trap.

The staff were lovely and very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean, but perhaps a little tired, in our room. The tea/coffee area was OK, but sadly, no biscuits, which are handy when peckish... Beautiful sea view - which is what we went for - and 100% recommend you book if that's what you're after👌 Breakfast was fine, everything presented clean, plenty of choice, and the cooked food didn't look like it was in a war zone, as in some hotels, but we did stay in May which is quieter than some other months. Staff on hand to top up if it was needed. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay for RnR by the sea, and we definitely recommend you consider the Best Western Exmouth Beach Hotel.

In our room, some of the windows couldn't be opened because they were screwed shut. There are safety wires on the ones that did open, so presume this was done as a cheaper alternative than replacing old windows (note - they are upvc and perfectly safe). As we had great weather, it would have been nice to open all windows to allow a flow of fresh air. The bathroom was clean, though tired, and needs updating. The fan in the bathroom was very noisy and was loud enough to wake me when my partner went for a midnight wee... Breakfast was OK, but the sausages had been sat for a while, so a bit hard... The coffee was hot, but perhaps a bit weak. Sadly, the bar wasn't open... so a bimble downstairs for a night cap wasn't to be...

The hotel staff were very friendly, polite, welcoming & attentive, We were upgraded to a large sea view room, which was warm, comfortable, clean, with a large shower. A good choice of continental breakfast & hot food cooked to order. The food was of a good quality & again, a prompt service too. The central beach front location provides easy access to the promenade, shops & restaurants. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Limited & chargeable on site parking, no room service was provided (even though it is offered), very small bath towels. The hotel is looking a little tired ( but is currently undergoing refurbishment by the new owners).

Normally when we book best Western hotels there's usually couple bottles of water in the room and 32 inch TV that is on the wall but no water and the TV was very very small and placed on the dressing table , we were surprised that there was no bar for evening drinks as it was all shut up , we were surprised that there was no event planers or booklets about the hotel in the rooms , we paid full price for the room with breakfast but nothing else we could have like tea/ coffee

Close to the seafront and lovely views over the estuary. The hotel has recently been taken over by new staff we were led to believe. However the staff were friendly and courteous.

The bar facilities were not open. Also, there was a certain staff member who took breakfast the same time as us one day and she didn’t stop talking into her phone (video call). It felt quite rude as she also had a young child as well who didn’t stop creating a disturbance. We made sure that the next day she wasn’t taking her breakfast the same time as us.

The first thing that gets you is the location, just metres from the Exe estuary with fantastic sea view looking towards Dawlish Warren and on. The building is itself very imposing. Check in was very simple and efficient, the staff were a mine of local information, shops, things to do. I had booked a single room and it had everything I needed and even on the second floor the wi-fi worked well enough for a zoom meeting.

I did not have any breakfast but it looked good. I had a phone-call and was able to reassure thr hotel that I was just 3 miles away. As I have no car I rely on walking, buses and trains. The staff accommodated my request to eat in the town before I arrived and I liked that level of trust. The most amazing thing is that I was given a free upgrade so I could hear and see the sea. As I live 100 miles from the sea that was a lovely surprise. It was nice that the member of staff treated me so well and was so smart and polite. The hotel was sparsely furnished but it felt spacious. The

No real issues. Lower window catch was broken but worked and fan in shower room was noisy but worked. Grab handle on wall in shower was a useful aid so thank you.
