I've stayed here twice now, and it's a lovely place to stay. It's in the town centre and a couple of minutes walk to the sea front. The prices are very good and not over inflated by 2 or 3 times as much during the holiday season as other guest houses do. The landlord Gary and landlady Tracy are fantastic hosts. Along with Adam, they all made me feel more than welcome, and I couldn't have asked for more. I will be moving to the area soon, and I will be visiting the Railway Inn on a regular basis and I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

Nothing, it's a fantastic place to stay.

Spacious clean single room, first floor opposite the loo and next door to the efficient shower. A lively pub whose customers enjoy singing along to the TV music channels. It did not bother me as I can sleep anywhere and through anything. The music stopped at midnight. Excellent value for money, just what I wanted for a one night stay. I would definitely book again.

The flush is poor on the loo opposite Room 1 and needs attention

The staff were really helpful... The bed really comfortable... The shower great... There was a TV... Internet access... Kettle... And washbasin within the room...

It was very hot and when the heating came on as the evening progressed I couldn't find a dial to use to turn it down... Though didn't seek help as I was a bit too tired...

location, right nearby railway station Good price , the proprietor describes accurately what the facilities are . At the weekend the pub below has entertainment and is very vibrant ! If you’re up to partying go down and join ‘em! You never know you might enjoy yourself! if you are after a quiet night in this is not the place for you , stick another £100 on your bill and find someplace else . That said at 23:00 it stops , end of. which is not ‘ unreasonable. I am not putting this in the negative section as it a subjective view and I was ok with it , others my not be .

No complaints. Good budget accommodation

Staff lovely. Bed extremely comfortable. Good sized room. Very centrally located. Very clean. The sink within the bedroom.

The walls are not the thickest. The toilet and bathroom facilities are shared but that is made clear at the point of booking.

It wasn't 5 star luxury but I didn't pay for that...it was very good value for money, it was clean, towels/tea/coffee/bottles of water provided in the room. Toilet & shower close to room. Staff very friendly & welcoming. 5 mins from beach & shops. Friday entertainment in the pub below which was good & was all quiet just after 11am. Couldn't ask for more. Would definitely stay again.

In life you get what you pay for if you want all that posh stuff it’s not for you. If you want a great pub where you are made very welcome by staff and customers then it’s the place for you

No car park but . Bur all the pubs in Dawlish have no parking but it’s not a problem there is public car parks and plenty of road parking

The location is fantastic, right in the centre of Dawlish. The people are fantastic, great hosts, never wanted for anything and couldn't be more helpful. Thank you so much to Gary, Tracy and Emma for a great stay and would not think twice about booking there again when I next come and visit my friend in Dawlish! The room was comfy, warm and had everything that I needed for my 2 night stay.

Nothing to not like.

Staff were freindly and helpful. Rooms were basic but everything was very clean and the bed was comfy.

I was in the top bedroom which had no wash facility at all and no water(apart from 2 small bottled water) other rooms had wash hand basins. But for the money I would stay again but not at the top room ( room4)

Room size was good with a hand basin in the room was a plus (shared toilet and shower) and comfortable bed.

Railway Inn said they had commercial cleaners but in the 4nights I was there there was no cleaning and my waste container was overflowing
