Everything was so relaxed and comfortable. Room was a standard double and the bed was very comfortable. The room was described as cosy but ample room to access both sides of bed and walk around. Bathroom good Size and shower spacious. We didn't feel at all claustrophobic. Great location and wonderful breakfast. Brian and Lorraine were so welcoming .

A bit hit and miss in Budleigh Salterton for eating out. Most places closed , although vuaured 16 to 20 July, or only open specific times. Check online first and reserve tables.

A great place. Excellent location. Really good welcome and was really well looked after as a guest. Brian and Lorraine made sure I had everything I needed. The breakfasts were excellent. Good to have the conservatory as a public space to sig as well as the lovely terrace: there is also a comfy lounge. I would definitely come back.

Brian was most welcoming and friendly during my stay. The breakfast was perfect - not too much, not too little but very tasty and healthy. The Lounge and Conservatory were most comfortable and the garden was lovely. The views from my room and from the Conservatory are magnificent.

I would like to have had the option of an evening meal and an open bar.

The dining room was spacious, our bedroom enabled a separate seating area, and the breakfasts were excellent We were surprised to discover a frequent bus service to Budleigh/Exmouth and Sidmouth which meant we could avoid high season parking issues

What’s not to like, our hosts Brian and Lorraine were splendid and Brian’s good humour and relaxed hospitality were key to our stay

The location is excellent - an easy stroll into Budleigh Salterton. The customer service is outstanding. Brian and Lorraine made us feel very welcome and we cannot fault their amazing hospitality. Thank you for a lovely week and amazing breakfasts.

We were made very welcome by Brian on arrival and looked after throughout our stay, which we extended by a day as we enjoyed it so much. The Long Range is a lovely place to stay in a quiet spot yet within reasonably easy reach of the town and seafront. The breakfast choice and quality was excellent!

Brian was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were delicious, with excellent service. The room and house were very clean. Definitely would go there again and recommend to others.

During my 40 years with in the Power Generation Industry I have stayed at hundreds possibly thousands of hotels within the UK. I would rate the Long Range Hotel as amongst the nicest being equaled only by the Haylie Hotel in Largs (Scotland). Proper fruit juice, mixed fresh fruit with yoghurt then the full English breakfast with tea and toast was a perfect start to the day. If I have had a better breakfast, I cannot remember when, thank you.

My visit merits very little to moan about: Changing the large towel was expected but I could have requested this and didn't

Brian is a wonderful host. Room was large and was very clean also serviced every day, There was a lovely view from the window across the valley. The location is very quiet.
