So much to see and explore. Loved hearing about the history of the q station. The restaurant was so wonderful. Food was delicious and plenty of choices

The rooms weren’t serviced properly. We weren’t given extra shampoo or soap. And the coffee cups and glasses weren’t cleaned.

The location was perfect, the room was ok but no air conditioning which was disappointing coming from WA most venues are air conditioned I would have thought but maybe that is just the west coast. The view was nice looking at the bush. The walk down to the wharf cafe, beach and restaurant was nice, we got to spend the day there hiring kayaks when not having appointments.

I did not like the stuffy room without air-conditioning and on Saturday night we caught the shuttle from our room to Manly but external beach goers had got a ride from the wharf to the reception before us, so we went out to dinner with wet bottoms after sitting on the seat after them.

The Settlers Cottage was perfect for our family of 5 (3 teenagers). The location was fabulous - 5 min drive to Manly and outstanding views of the harbour from our windows. The cottage was well furnished, heating in each room kept us warm in winter and the kitchen had a dishwasher and ample cooking equipment so we could make some meals ourselves. Couches and beds were also really comfortable. The shuttle bus is a great convenience if dining at the restaurant. Q Station is a historical site with a museum and lots of historical buildings - totally worth it to stay here to be able to see this brilliant and beautiful place! Restaurant is expensive but delicious. It’s a 2 or 3 course for a set price so we didn’t take our kids!

The shuttle bus only runs into Manly Fri-Sun so after a long day of sightseeing Sydney on public transport on Thursday, it would have been amazing to be able to get the shuttle back from Manly instead of trying to find the public bus stop in the dark. It would be awesome if the shuttle could be booked during week days.

The room was amazing. Spotless and comfortable. The view from our balcony was fabulous. The property is huge, and the shuttle drivers were wonderful getting us to where we needed to be. The bathroom was massive and luxurious. My hubby and I loved it.

The breakfast at the Views Restaurant. It was a buffet, and we had our booking half an hour before closing. There were some options that weren't replenished, and we missed out on our favourite breakfast options, particularly hash browns. Being vegan with reduced options, this was more disappointing for us, and we ended up having a very expensive breakfast of toast, some peaches, mushroom and tomato. The staff seemed put out by our lateness and same for a couple who arrived after us. The welcome was, "we are closing in ........ minutes." Not great.

I loved the location - at the edge of Sydney, and yet immersed in nature. Might not be fore everyone as you need to take a (free) shuttle bus that goes about 6 times a day to get into Manly (or public bus which runs more frequently), but personally i preferred to be in the nature and have all the beautiful sights and sounds. I was lucky to get room 104, which was charged as a room without a view, but actually did have a bit of a view - i think most of the non-harbour view rooms don't have a view at all.

The Boilerhouse restaurant in the evenings - we went there the first night and ate and everything was fine, but the other three times we turned up there they had either stopped serving, closing, or closed, due to not enough customers. Ok, one time we got there after 9, but the other two times we were there before or just after 8pm so seems a bit wrong. We ordered food through Uber Eats instead, but beware - it can take a long time. Our pizza took an hour and turned up cold!

Friendly staff available all of the time for transport or help. Enjoyed the constant availability of the shuttle. Very accessible for me traveling alone with mobility issues. A beautiful location with amazing views and wildlife. I loved the atmosphere of remoteness, nature and feeling like I went back into history with the old authentic buildings. The restaurant and beach were gorgeous....with high quality oflive music!

It would have been really nice to have a microwave in the room to heat food up since there weren't many food options after hours. The room needed a little more air flow as it was quite warm, but when room the doors were open, I kept getting a visiting wild turkey.🤣 The wild turkeys were a little too tame and would get into your food or jump on your outside breakfast table even if you were sitting there. Possibly there should be some way to control them a little better? A residential dog? The entire turkey situation was slightly humorous.

The room was clean and very comfortable. The view was spectacular. The funicular was a bit of a workout but the effort was worth it.

The website wasn't very clear on the shuttle bus service from Manly Wharf. We waited 30 mins and then found out from the Info Booth that we had to catch a No.61 bus. This then dropped us off at the wrong spot and we had to walk 25mins with bags to locate Reception. The restaurant times advertised differed to the actual closing times which didn't allow us to have a nice late lunch but ended up with sandwiches from the cafe which we took back to our room. Also there was no additional milk provided for more than one cuppa per day.

It was a fabulous historic site and the hotel conversion was great - sensitive and faithful. We were right next to the former first class dining room, now a guest lounge - divine.

It’s not that I didn’t like it but be aware: we came from work and only had half an hour to check in and get to the restaurant for our booking - but we needed an hour to remove stress. In fact - I would come in the afternoon if possible so you aren’t arriving in the dark and getting on and off the frequent shuttles in total confusion about where you are! It’s an active sort of place - if you aren’t too flexible ask for the bus with a step to help you get in!

It feels like you are in a quiet, country location, but you are 5 minutes from the bustle of Manly, sitting on the verandah looking out over sweeping views of Sydney Harbour, with echidnas and bandicoots wandering by, and owls and bats sweeping past. Peaceful and private, and adequately equipped.

The access can be problematic. Staying the night, you can drive your car to near the accommodation, but there are strict rules around where you can drive and some of the staff were positively rude if you even looked like you might take a wrong turn and head down the wrong road or if you have the audacity to lose the photocopied piece of paper with your apartment number writted on it in pen, as if it were the must ridiculous imposition on them to ask your last name or registration number at the gate. The buildings are partly-restored 1930's houses, so the facilities are pretty basic but perfectly adequate for a small group weekend away.

Loved the location, beautiful views walking around the bush surrounds and discovering all the many buildings and history of the place. Free shuttle was handy, comfortable room, buffet breakfast was reasonable, again with scenic views, a great spot if sitting outside on a sunny morning. Great service, rooms are to be expected, old and historic but renovated into ok comfortable rooms.

Only 2 downsides, shower head in shower/bath way too low to wash hair, and a wedding reception was held directly opposite our room and was very noisy until late! Overall the kids and I loved our weekend away at Q Station Manly.
