A lovely family run bed and breakfast. We were welcomed immediately upon arrival and provided with information about breakfast etc. The people are delightful and nothing is too much trouble. The fresh milk for the hospitality tray in the bedroom is a nice detail and much more welcome than those plastic little pots found usually in hotels. The facilities are very clean. I personally appreciate well laundered, fluffy white towels when I stay somewhere and that was another box ticked. The breakfast was well cooked with eggs sourced locally. It was plentiful and we could’ve had more toast and tea if we wished. We anticipated being out late but this was not a problem as a key to the front door was provided. The hosts were a mine of local information, inspiring us to return to the area to explore more. Whilst we may not return to Broomfield House again, this is because we usually use our motorhome when holidaying but we would not hesitate to recommend Broomfield House to anyone who would appreciate what this family run business has to offer.

Immediately made it plain to me as a guest that they wanted me to have a comfortable experience. The facilities were explained immediately in a professional manner and it was explained how I could access home comforts. I was happily suprised at the compact but very new shower in the bathroom etc. I was allowed to park my car out of sight of the road in what appeared to be the family's private area.I really appreciated this.

The rain..but there again I was able to stay another night and rest properly for the first time in a very long time. The surrounding area was absolutely charming and the very local 24 hour Morrisons (with E5 petrol) was a big suprise.

Owners dealt gracefully with a late check-in which was appreciated. The building is old but very well kept. Bed was comfortable and the room, whilst on the small side, was ample for a short stay. Earlston itself is a pleasant little village and the larger towns nearby are only a short drive away. Would work well as a base for exploring the surrounding area. I was able to park a large van outside without any difficulty.

Separate bathrooms aren't ideal but there seems to be one allocated per room rather than being shared. And I can't see any other layout that the building would allow. There were some friendly but boisterous dogs on the property. This might be a positive for many guests, but have a word beforehand if you have a phobia of canines.

Lovely room , very clean. Breakfast was excellent and available early. They are about 30 mins away from Vogrie Parkrun so ideal for us. Then pubs in the village don't do food but the local take away has a great choice. We had our fish and chips in the park as the weather was lovely. The owners kindly offered to pop some plates and cutlery in the dining room for us so that would be a good option if the weather wasn't so good. There are places to eat within driving distance.

Wonderful friendly hosts and dogs greeted me on arrival and made me feel exceptionally welcome. The room was comfortable, cosy and spotlessly clean with lots of lovely little touches (reading lamp, proper tea, real milk etc.). Generous and tasty breakfast with countless options to tailor it based on preferences/dietary requirements etc. Good shower and private bathroom. Genuinely lovely B&B run by a kind and cheerful family who go out of their way to make you feel at home.

This is a little gem of a place to stay. I love the convenience of it being on the main A68 to Edinburgh. It is quiet and peaceful despite being on the main road. The family who own it are delightful and nothing is too much of a bother for them. The room is cozy with an external private bathroom. There is a kettle with plenty of tea and coffee. A flask of fresh milk is provided which is a lovely touch. Breakfast is delicious. Overall I highly recommend Broomfield House Bed and Breakfast.

Owners were very friendly and helpful in recommending local eateries. The room was small but comfortable and perfectly fine for my purposes. I used the wifi to watch TV on my iPad without any problems at all. Breakfast options were generous. Bathroom was across the hallway (as advertised) but generous size, clean and a reasonably powerful shower.

For my purposes it was fine as it was and value for money.

The welcome by the hosts was very warm and informative and I appreciated the option to check in between 9pm and 10pm as I was travelling straight from work from around 3 and a half hours away. Breakfast was excellent, room was well equipped, bathroom large and clean and free parking available.

My only criticism of my stay would be the comfort of the single bed mattress. I am a side sleeper and the mattress didn't work for me as I felt I didn't have enough support. But had an enjoyable stay and when I am next in need of accommodation in the area I will definitely come back.

The location is ideal for touring the Scottish border area and it’s only 30 miles or so to Edinburgh on the A68. You get a great welcome and the family owners are always friendly. The breakfast is nice and filling.

There is some road noise but nothing to worry about.

Friendly owners, with two friendly dogs. Good breakfast. My room was small, but I had my own bathroom. Everything was very clean and tidy. There was plenty of tea and coffee and biscuits provided in the room. Earlston is a very pleasant town with several scenic vistas to view at a short drive away.
