Just like being at home. In fact, it is an attachment to the owner’s home. She was wonderfully helpful and friendly, and loved to chat. There was a continental breakfast and generous choices. The location, which is in a suburban neighborhood near both Melrose and Galashiels, is the only downside. The upside is that it is quiet and homey. If you don’t mind driving 10 minutes for shops or a restaurant, this is a great value.

great accommodation - bedroom plus sitting room and decent sized bathroom with washing machine and small fridge; two TVs; house is situated in a small modern development with a Chineses all-you-can-eat buffet within walking ditance. The host was very helpful. With a car you coulod explore many of the local sights. would definitely use this again if visiting Scotland

This is a really great place to stay! The plus point is the separate adjoining room with armchairs, TV (in addition to a TV in the bedroom!) and small dining area. The whole place is immaculate. The fridge has lots of unexpected goodies in it, and there is a toaster and microwave, together with a hospitality tray. Parking is available on Sheena's driveway. Melrose, a pretty little place, is just down the road if you need a restaurant, a coffee shop, giftshops, groceries or petrol. [And Melrose Abbey and Abbotsford House are a stone's throw away.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

What the owner provided in both room and the extras, were fantastic and really above and beyond. There is no hot ‘Scottish breakfast’ but this totally suited my needs as I rarely have it anyway. The ‘continental breakfast’ was brilliant and replenished daily - I will be returning…

Nothing (really 👍)

The place was confortable and welkoming, and there was everything I needed. I really enjoyed staying the three nights I reserved. Futhermore the place is very close to the bus station, so it was easy to reach the other city around. Sheena, the host, was very kind and present, always careful to not let me miss anything.

The location was perfect- very quiet yet accessible by public transport too. The welcome was warm and Sheena was very helpful in suggesting local interests. The beds and rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was more than ample. The facilities were spotless and modern and there was nothing more that we could wish for. We would go back in a heartbeat! We felt that the price for this quality of accommodation was extremely reasonable.

There was nothing that could be improved.

Lovely self contained sitting room and ensuite bedroom, although microwave is only cooking option. Comfy beds. Lovely and very generous host. Very quiet area, only 1 local shop, although access to other areas via the local bus service/train station. Not in walking distance from train station, don't rely on google maps:(. Bus stop was a short walk from property. Great continental breakfast. and property very clean and cosy.

Cooking facilities, only option was microwave and very small fridge so had to eat out most days.

Sheena was extremely friendly and helpful, giving us hints for places to see and to go to for dinner. It was lovely having our own separate living room. Also a washing machine. We didn't need it as our holiday had only just started, but really useful.

Very clean , private, warm and comfortable. Convenient parking, extremely quiet neighbourhood. Songbirds at the feeders. Breakfast is serve yourself which suited me. Well appointed.

It was perfect with nothing that needed to be improved.
