Great central location and amazing staff. Very accommodating and helpful to help make the most out of your stay. Rooms are tidy but small and noisy.
There is a pool, however small and no umbrellas so you’ll burn in the sun. Several guests are breaking rules aka being loud, making phone calls and filming. Staff just lets it happen. Only 3 elevators with 32 floors and extremely slow so expect long waits. Lastly, the restaurant upstairs also accepts outside visitors and doesn’t give priority to hotel guests. Many times I wanted to have dinner there to be told I had to wait (over 1 hour) which is truly unacceptable.

I liked the cleanliness, design, and architecture of the building and the central location it is in. The staff were great.
A particular female staff member at the Firefly Cafe who was at the front on Friday night (1 August) showed racism towards us and did not talk politely. She suspected we were not in-house guests because we were dark skinned. Until we told her that we were guests from Room No. 1709, she did not want to let us in. Guests should not be treated based on their skim colour. This is cheap, ignorant and uncivilized behaviour.

I had a wonderful stay at City Garden Hotel in Manila. The staff here truly make the experience special — they greet you warmly every time and are always happy to accommodate any needs. I especially appreciated the small details, like how they open doors as you approach, making you feel genuinely welcomed. One thoughtful feature I noticed: if you prefer your room cleaned at a later time, the staff kindly remind you to activate the “Please clean my room” button instead of disturbing you. It’s such a considerate touch! Now, the breakfast — hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. There’s an incredible variety of dishes to suit every taste, made with high-quality, even luxurious ingredients. The staff in the dining area are just as attentive and helpful as everywhere else in the hotel. Plus, enjoying breakfast on the 7th floor comes with a great view over the modern part of the city, adding to the experience. The rooftop swimming pool on the top floor is another highlight. The view from there over the Manila skyline is simply stunning — perfect for relaxing or snapping a few great photos. Would absolutely recommend this place for anyone visiting Manila!
The only downside I noticed was the elevators — during busy hours, it can take quite a while to catch one, especially since the hotel has many floors. It’s a minor inconvenience but something to keep in mind if you're in a hurry.

Staff, friendly and helpful as usual. The room and common area were nice and clean. I had a problem with the first room and front desk fixed the problem as soon as they could.
The air conditioner was malfunctioning and making a sequeling noise. Housekeeping acme to look at it but only confirmed that it was making noise and engineering will fix the problem. Engineering came to look at it and agreed that the fan motor bearing was gone. Then an offer to change the room was asked. Total time from check in, assess air con problem, do room change took around an hour. Hotel was busy so I just went with the flow...

I don't know if I have enough space for this. When I arrived on 24th Jan sadly my stay was short due to the fact I was informed my daughter was in serious condition in the province so I had to leave two hours after booking in. I did manage to spend some time in the Flybar where they played our song. Thank you to the band and Ryan. When I returned for two days Ryan was first to check on the well being of my daughter and me. That creates a family atmosphere. I have been coming to Manila for over 10 years now and never stayed in another hotel in Manila. When I stayed in hotels in the province I realise how treated I am in the Gardens. Thank you for support during this hard journey.
If I have to be picky. I never used my first booking as stated above and would have appreciated it I could have booked out late as my departure was 9pm.

I loved everything about this hotel. The rooms were spacious with sensational views over Manila. The bed was large and comfortable. The breakfast was truly delectable. The rooftop restaurant was divine. The food was good and of course the view was truly amazing. All of the staff were friendly, approachable and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
There was nothing that I didn't like. Some of the guests staying in the hotel got a bit noisy one night and I complained to Reception around 1am. The manager sorted it out quickly and ensured that I was satisfied with the outcome. All of the staff went above and beyond to ensure the hotel was a good experience for all guests.

Our stay was pleasant and enjoyable overall, with some highlights and minor setbacks: Staff: Exceptionally helpful and accommodating, always checking if assistance was needed. Breakfast Buffet: Decent selection, sufficient for a satisfying breakfast. Firefly Roofdeck: The staff worked hard to accommodate both hotel and walk-in guests despite the peak season rush. Food variety was good, though on the pricier side. Pool Area: Beautiful views, but lacks privacy since it’s right beside the roof deck. Towels and robes are conveniently provided. Overall Verdict: Despite a few inconveniences, we were satisfied with our 2-night stay. The service and amenities were good enough for a relaxing New Year’s getaway.
New Year’s Eve Dinner: Unfortunately, the Firefly Roofdeck buffet was fully booked by early December. We opted for the Rosemary Ballroom buffet at ₱3,000 per head, which was a fair alternative given the circumstances. Gym: Limited equipment but adequate for light workouts. Elevators: A significant drawback during peak season—slow and overcrowded due to high hotel guest volume and shared use with Firefly visitors. Overall Verdict: Despite a few inconveniences, we were satisfied with our 2-night stay. The service and amenities were good enough for a relaxing New Year’s getaway.

i liked everything about the hotel especallly the staff. They were always very helpful. The restuarnant on the 32 floor was one of the best in the area. Great view, beautiful roof top pool and never disapointed with the food. The breakfast place on the 7th flood makes really good coffee. I never tried their breakfast but it was a very poplular spot.
Once I got to know Manila I found my fav area was BGC becasue of the selection of shopping and restaurants. Its a two km trip there so a bit too far to walk there and back. Taxies in Manila are very cheap and always abvailable.

This is a great value in Manila. We liked the price, the location, the facilities and the room. High standards, similar to a 4-star hotel in Europe. We had a family room, very spacious and comfortable. Our relatives loved the room as well. The pool is small but cute, we enjoyed there a lot. There are a lot bars and restaurants around for fun (but read below...) and also the awesome and luxurious Power Plant and Greenbelt malls not far away. Last but not least: Breakfast was excellent.
Three things annoyed us a bit: first, the clientele, 50% follow the same profile: a Western male with a young sexy Filipina. It's clear there's a lot of sex tourism going on in this hotel and around. I was offered sex services in front of the entrance, and next to my wife :) We're an open-minded couple, but this can be very disturbing for some people, especially families with children. Second, the elevators are very busy and take a long time. Third, the intersection where the hotel is located is incredibly busy, the traffic is a bit crazy, and we almost had an accident crossing. Again, something to consider if you're traveling with children.

The staff was very friendly and pleasant at all times, especially Jess, who gave us information on how to get around the area and always attended us with a smile, as well as the rest of the hotel staff who, without a doubt, make you feel at home. The room was clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The terrace definitely offers a great view of the Makati area and the location is very good. The live music during dinner time adds a touch of magic to the moment, which is very worthwhile.
Unfortunately, too much noise can be heard from the room. At night we could hear absolutely everything going on in the next room, which makes it very difficult to get a good night's rest. In addition, we could hear noises from the corridor almost every night. We would like to point out that the staff always did their best to help and offer us options, they are not at all to blame for the fact that there are disrespectful people who shout and make a terrible noise in the early hours of the morning.
