This beautifully modern hotel is situated in a lovely area of Arequipa city with the main square a mere 5-6minute walk. Lovely spacious rooms with comfy beds & loads of roasting hot water available in the shower. The room was really modern with a smart tv & great WiFi for streaming films & organising the next part of our trip. Breakfast was great & a great bonus to have our luggage stored for the full day until our bus later in the evening on the day of check out. The owner (Reynaldo) & staff were extremely helpful & so friendly - great restaurant recommendations & made our stay extremely comfortable. We’ll definitely be back, thank you!

Reynaldo, the hotel owner, was so incredibly kind and helpful to us during our stay. His cheerful manner made us feel very welcome and he had lots of really useful advice about things to do in and around Arequipa (including some excellent food recommendations!). You can organise tours from the hotel, Reynaldo also offered to personally take us on a driving tour of some of his highlights around Arequipa. He was very attentive to our needs and ensured our stay was as smooth as possible. The hotel itself is clean and tidy, the breakfast is tasty and is served on the terrace which has great views of the volcanoes! It’s situated in a quiet part of town, a short walk from the plaza de armas.

The corridors can be a tad loud when people are coming back in the evening, but this was hardly an issue

La Casa de Irma is a traveler’s dream. Great value for the money, and Reynaldo, the owner, is not only super friendly but always goes the extra mile. He set up a convenient WhatsApp conversation to stay in touch, arranged a taxi to pick us up from the airport, gave us amazing restaurant recommendations, and kept our luggage safe while we were away on a trip to Colca Canyon, without asking for anything. When we came back, he even offered us a room to take a shower, again just out of kindness. Like I said, La Casa de Irma is a traveler’s dream. Thanks again, Reynaldo.

We had an amazing experience at this hotel! Everything was simply perfect! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and the entire organization of the place ran smoothly from start to finish. What really stood out to us was the owner’s kindness and hospitality. He welcomed us warmly, even offered us a free beer on arrival, which was such a nice touch after a long journey. After our tour on the last day, even though we had already checked out, he kindly let us use the showers before we left for the bus terminal. That kind of generosity really made a difference. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great experience and outstanding service!

The hotel is in a very convenient location in Arequipa and only a few minutes walk from some of the main attractions (less than a 5 minute walk to Mundo Alpaca). The staff were very friendly and welcoming and Reynaldo very helpfully provided recommendations for food and drink in the city. Breakfast was fresh and served on the balcony which overlooked one of the mountains. The room was a good size, incredibly clean and the wardrobe was spacious, bed was comfortable.

No hair dryer in the room and bathroom mirror was slightly damaged.

Fantastic location, within the historic centre but just far enough from the busy area for it to be quiet. Hotel is down a short alleyway, so hidden away. Lots of coffee shops, restaurants and things to see and do within 10 minutes walking (max). No lift so not suitable if you can't walk up the stairs. The breakfast was lovely, on the top floor over looking the rooftops. Some staff didn't speak english but they had translate on their computer, so we had no issues with asking questions. They were all very friendly. Our bed was big enough for 4 people to sleep in. Everywhere was very clean. Definitely recommend staying here and worth the money too.

I arrived at 6 am by Perú hop bus & they said I could leave my bags there, but better than that the owner welcomed me & said they had a room ready for me that I could have now, great news after a very long journey from Bolivia. Very comfortable bed and great hot shower with good water pressure. Room cleaned daily with fresh towels. Nothing was to much trouble.

Would have got a 10 apart from watered down juice & not great coffee at breakfast. As well as bit of noise from the dogs at certain times, but is there home as well.

The staff were really friendly and arranged for us to check in early after an overnight bus from Arequipa, for a half night rate, an absolute bargain and allowed us to catch up on much needed sleep. The beds were so comfortable, we had a good sized room with private bathroom which was spotlessly clean, kudos to the cleaners. The main guy on reception made us very welcome and we were able to leave our rucksacks there while we went on a two day tour to the Colca Canyon.

We had a wonderful time at La Casa de Irma. The hotel is newly renovated, the rooms are super comfy, the owner is extremely welcoming and friendly, he accepted us very early in the morning and also provided many recommendations regarding our visit in Arequipa. He shared with us many wonderful stories and we can assure you that our trip would not be as amazing as it was without meeting him. Very well recommended for anyone visiting the beautiful city of Arequipa! We will be back some day.

Clean comfortable and spacious room, great hot shower with good pressure, friendly staff who cares a lot about the guests and their experience. Breakfast is in a nice little terrace which you can enjoy also during the day. Incredibly great value for money! The area of San Lázaro is really nice to walk around and just 10 minutes to go walking to the main Plaza de Armas. We’ve been to a few other hotels in Arequipa within the same price range and this one is by far the best!
