A beautiful hotel with a mix of history and modern comfort. Lots of excellent facilities. I used the spa and adult pool (main reason for staying). Good location not too far from Charlottesville.

The service in the restaurant was mixed. Server went to a table that were seated after me to take their order and when she came to me she was chewing gum, but was very friendly. Gave my order and my main came before my starter. Server apologized and offered to remove the cost of the starter. I did order a desert which she also didn't charge me for so some aspects weren't great but she did make up for it.

Every little thing. The staff is went above and beyond, so friendly and helpful! The food was absolutely delicious, especially the Mill House. We loved the grounds and enjoyed hiking the trails. The spa pool was a great way to relax. The location was great and easy to get to shopping and local attractions.

There could be better and more available information on services, events, close by events/attractions, including resort history. There are lots of building but guests don’t know what they are for and if they are private or public.

Mill room breakfast was great. We got the omelet on the menu and Belgium waffle with delicious homemade tasting whip cream and was so good we got it again the next day.

Check-in was a bit of a hassle. Initially, I got 2 cards that didn't work for the room- unfortunately we didn't find out they didn't work until we drove our car to the next building where the room was located ( and brought luggage to the room) and then had to drive all the way back to the building with the front desk. They initially told us the problem was likely the battery for the electronic lock on the door, but after getting new keys it worked. Off to a rocky start, but the rest of the trip was great.

One of our most pleasant and memorable anniversary celebrations. Elegant architecture, perfectly maintained grounds, comfy dining and bar in the Mill, but the people! we’re so warm and welcoming and went out of their way to ensure our time with them was memorable. we will be back! Special thanks to the amazing Mill wait staff, bartender, and front desk staff.

Being Father’s Day and a three day holiday weekend, check-in wait time for our room was way longer than normal but we changed into our swim suits and spent the time at their lovely pool near the spa. we were rewarded with a beautiful upgraded room with a porch and view of the lake. we’ll worth the wait!

The decor and all the amenities. This is where my wife and I were married at the Boar’s Head Inn (then). We loved it then (2009) and still love it 15 years later.

I wish the bar was open later. The bartender (Phillip) was awesome! And the crowd at the bar were very cordial.

The Boar’s Head Resort offer many on site recreational activities. They included golf course, spa, two pool locations, hiking trails and many places just to sit and relax and enjoy the scenery. Staff was friendly and helpful.

lots of walking trails, from strolling around the ponds to hiking 2 miles up a wooded hill. The architecture is classic without frills and the location overall is perfect-just far enough from town to give one the sense of the country and just far enough from the Blue Ridge Mountains to know town is just down the road. I didn’t get to revel in the Spa or the huge indoor sport complex but they look amazing. The front desk and dining staff were cordial, more than accommodating and went out of their way to create a special weekend for us.

I’m trying to think of a negative and frankly, there isn’t one.

Beautiful resort, just what we were looking for. The place provides great accommodations, an adults-only pool (One for families is also on-site.), great spa (Make reservations!), and a great Davis Love III golf course along with an amazing putting green just out the back door of the golf shop! What else do you need!?!?!

Hospitality has a new meaning after our visit at Boars Head. From the beginning at check-in consiere service greetings and salutation is like a family event. The brilliance in smiles and going above and beyond greetings. Insuring comfort and security and safety are paramount. Bravo..BRAVO...BRAVO... THE menu is better than any other with fresh Ness flavor and quantities. Servers in the restaurant mmmuuhha.. over the moon kindness. The entertainment guitarist lightened the ambiance.

Nothing to improve... the hospitality IS above all other.
