The hotel is actually an old, small motel-type building, but its interiors have been fully renovated. The room was very clean, with no smell at all. The soundless and effective air conditioning, large flat-screen TV, and stress-free WiFi made our stay comfortable. Additionally, we enjoyed listening to several vinyl records (jazz by Chet Baker, Coltrane, etc.) that were on the desk in the room, along with a portable LP player.

The bathroom only had a shower, and the shower didn't have a strong water flow. This may be a little disappointing for those who want to enjoy a bath time at the hotel. However, for the record, the shower room was very spacious and clean.

I loved the decor and front desk friendliness. The location is ideal when visiting my son at UVA.

The neighbor had a dog that was barking and the people above me walked quite heavy and were up very late. This is likely random chance I recognize, so no discredit to the hotel.

Location was great and I thought the decor and service were top notch.

My primary complaint was that the room was incredibly bright during nighttime. I had to figure out how to block light from the bathroom window and closing the bathroom door did little since it was translucent. Then, light poured around the shades. I suggested adding curtains which would have made a big difference. I also think the location of the room I stayed in made it particularly susceptible to additional light.

Very comfortable room! Clean, soft bed, nice bathroom with amenities. My kid loved the Frank Sinatra record! Loved the addition of the signs machine, very nice touch.

Parking.... They have a few spots in the back, but getting there (when not familiar with Charlottesville) was difficult. Ending up using terrain view on Google maps to zoom in. Other parking on sides of the street were near impossible to find.

We were not informed that the extra cost charged at the property was for incidentals and would be returned. A week later and our refund of the extra charge has not come through. Had trouble getting a direct response from the Hotel Staff about this issue and a larger client services team has told us only to "wait for it"

Friendly front desk staff. Surprisingly large room with nice couch, chairs, large bathroom and comfortable bed. Very clean. Delightful decor, and the working record player was a fun touch. Great location near restaurants and UVA but on a quiet street away from the noise of traffic/students.

Bottled water in the room would have been nice (or a filtered dispenser in a common area).

It was the perfect solution for us! We needed a place for my family to stay while I had a procedure at UVA. It was clean, stylish, charming and very convenient! We’ll definitely be back. PS Dave Brubeck’s “Take Five” on vinyl was a great touch!

The location is perfect! Easy access to UVA and to all the cute restaurants on the Corner.

Parking when you first arrive is confusing. However the front desk team is super helpful when you check in to show you the public parking garage.

Great location. Very clean!! Comfortable bed. Excellent heating unit.

Shower water never really got “hot.” Not well-insulated noise-wise between floors (quests above were not noisy at all; however, could easily hear routine noise from their area (walking, tv being on, etc)).

Perfect location for visiting my college kid. The location is in an area known for partying so don’t stay here if you expect silence. Wi-Fi great, plenty of plugs and usb outlets, small (full size!) fridge. Adorable decor, very friendly staff!
