The staff made us feel welcome and comfortable from the first second, and we several many nice chats with them during our stay. The rooms were really great: both large in size and well furnished. The style of decoration gave a luxurious feel without being too much. We also had a nice private patio. Cayucos is a lovely town. The location of the property along the main street is ideal. Easy to access by car and a comfortable walking distance to the beach and the pier, as well as to restaurants and shops. We really enjoyed the breakfast and the complimentary afternoon cookies delivered to our room! We only stayed for one night as we were just passing through. We ended up feeling that we should have stayed longer, which pretty much says it all.

Firstly, the warmth of the people who worked there was so genuine, I have never felt so taken care of… We mentioned it was our anniversary, and everyone went out of their way to make it special… When we left after two nights to go home, I felt like I was leaving friends, hugs,laughter, stories and I knew this was something special. Secondly! The breakfasts were amazing! SHOUT OUT TO THE LADIES IN THE KITCHEN! And also to the black beans!!! Please give me the recipe♥️ Lastly, the rooms with their jet tubs, beautiful lanais and super comfortable beds were the frosting on an already fabulous cake…

Rare for me to say, but not a thing

The staff members are both accommodating and friendly from check-in to check-out. They have hot breakfast, juice, and coffee taken care of every morning and the freshly baked cookies every evening, and if you need help they're attentive and available during their listed business hours. A hotline is available if the staff needs to be reached outside of said hours, in case any issues come up during the evening. The local eateries and the beach are walking distance from the B&B, so you never have to worry about driving anywhere if you prefer to stay locally. The rooms have various themes, and the decorations help them feel comfortably lived in and cozy. Overall, I think the B&B is worth its value in price; there are several inn's that charge about as much, if not far more, and they don't include breakfast. If you like having at least one meal taken care of before venturing out for the day and come back home to wonderfully accommodating folks who are attentive to your needs and asks, definitely consider staying here.

We were enthusiastically greeted and met at the door with smiles and fresh cookies and escorted to our room. The location is perfect across the street from the beach and such a lovely set up, inside and out. We wanted to play cards that night with our friends but there was not a room or parlor available so then staff moved a table and chairs into the foyer so we could enjoy. Our rooms also had a gas fireplace which was so cozy and keurigs and a nice mini bar were also in each room.

The King Suite was spacious, comfortable and perfect for our Anniversary weekend get-a-way. LOVED the balcony with ocean view! The layout of the suite very nice. Breakfast both mornings was delicious and the dining area decorated lovely. We dined inside one morning and on the patio the second. It was a most enjoyable, relaxing, stay. Beautiful facility!

There wasn't anything we did not like. The only thing we thought would have been nice would be on the balcony. The space is large enough to in addition to the bistro table, have two lounge chairs to more comfortably enjoy the space.

Absolutely perfect getaway bed and breakfast. Accommodations were exceptional, staff attentive and delightful. The breakfast is superb, the homemade nighttime cookies are delicious. A very charming bed and breakfast. It is now our go to place when we need a beach getaway. It is a short walk across the street to get to the beach, and a small, friendly town makes you feel so welcomed.

Seriously, nothing negative to write about. The greatest experience.

Absolutely fabulous place and staff. Every attention to detail is the motto. Coming from a city of Victorian homes the style of this Inn makes you think it’s an original from the era . The breakfast served was also exceptional. Definitely coming back and recommending to all I know !!!

I guess an elevator would be convenient but would take away the charm of this place.

This is our second time satying at the Sunset Inn.. I am sure we ill be back. The location is perfect for all the day travels we had planned. The Inn was close to good restaurants but the Inn's breakfast was outstanding. Really enjoyed talking with the the other guests as we ate. Very quiet and secure.

Location is good, easily walkable to restaurants and beach. Room was spacious and charming. Staff were all friendly.

Breakfast savory dishes were lacking, had weird texture to them . All were presented well but eating same pie shaped thing three days in a row was kinda boring . Muffins doughy and appeared undercooked. All this said ,

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Sunset Inn in Cayucos. The breakfasts were great and the friendliness of the staff was awesome. Every evening fresh cookies were left in the room. The bed was comfortable and it was clean and inviting. We will come back for sure.

The only thing that was a bit strange was the very high sinks in the bathrooms. But not a big deal...
