It is a beautiful hotel with a grocery store next door and the Sea Shanty restaurant across the street. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean. Our only issue was on Booking.com it said "pet friendly," which is the main reason we chose the hotel. In the rooms there's a sign about "pets". My elderly parents have a cat and after driving 3 hours, we were told dogs only. We were confused because it says pet friendly. So if you have a cat, choose another hotel. My suggestion is to please be specific on all booking platforms, stating dogs only to avoid confusion and inconvenience. Other than that, everything was great and we would stay again.

This is a very cute beach inn. The room was very clean and it was a comfortable stay. Very close to the beach and restaurants nearby. I loved how pet friendly this inn was! There was a designated area for my dog to use the restroom and sniff around. The front desk staff was very helpful and polite. We loved the coffee and muffins in the morning. It’s not super modern but the cleanliness, friendly staff, and price make up for it. I would recommend this location and even stay here again.

Our room with a King bed was spacious, comfortable and clean. The location was excellent, a block from the Sea Shanty restaurant, a market, a laundromat and less than a 200 yard walk to the beach with beautiful views. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. Parking was conveniently located next to our room although it would get tight at times due to high occupancy by guests.

The only real negative was that our soap dispenser next to the bathroom sink was empty at check in but staff quickly took care of it after we brought it to their attention.

Complimentary fruit and beverages during day is nice. Rooms are spacious and clean. We brought our dog this time and were happy to pay the $15/night fee. There is a 12' x 12' lawn area at back of hotel as a quiet potty, complete with fire hydrant and stainless steel dog-wash sink. The entire town has poop-bag dispensers and trash cans, so while we saw a lot of people with dogs, we rarely to never saw dog waste. Great location: two blocks from Sea Shanty restaurant and beach access.

Honeygirl Cafe opens at 6:30am; if you want coffee before then you're out of luck.

We had a great stay with our dog. The room was spacious and had a beautiful lawn area outside of the room with lots of seating and barbecues. They had a separate area for cleaning your dog after being on the beach. Staff and clientele were super friendly and there was fresh coffee in the morning with fruit and muffins. We only stayed for one night but could have easily stayed longer with that setup.

It's so close to everything and access to the beach is easy walking distance to town and places to eat we've have stayed there few times and really love it there.

The only issue there was a couple upstairs had young children and they kept jumping late into the night we talked to manager and he assured me that they would take care of it and they did.

I was room 104, bottom floor, and the pipes from the upstairs room were very loud, when they flushed and took showers. I realize that may be out of the properties control, unless you ran the pipes outside, but that makes the property ugly. So all in all it was a very nice stay. Also it was safe and secure. I appreciate that!

Desk staff was very attentive and responsive. Room was within walking distance of most attractions and restaurants. Folded towel-swans were a fun welcoming touch. Appreciated the free parking in California.

I didn't realize until I was checking out that there were breakfast options/snacks in the office. Not that I wouldn't have gone to a restaurant for a full breakfast anyway, but it would have been nice to have had it pointed out upon check-in that there were snacks available (if they were complimentary-not sure). Kind of expensive, but that's California.

Coffee and tea available each morning, along with fruit and pastries. The outdoor grill provided a nice cooking option. The little fridge met our food storage needs. Great location, great staff.

Wish they had BBQ utensils available. Wish they had had some cheap plates, forks, spoons, and knives in the room. (There is a sink, so we could have cleaned up...).
