The staff members are both accommodating and friendly from check-in to check-out. They have hot breakfast, juice, and coffee taken care of every morning and the freshly baked cookies every evening, and if you need help they're attentive and available during their listed business hours. A hotline is available if the staff needs to be reached outside of said hours, in case any issues come up during the evening. The local eateries and the beach are walking distance from the B&B, so you never have to worry about driving anywhere if you prefer to stay locally. The rooms have various themes, and the decorations help them feel comfortably lived in and cozy. Overall, I think the B&B is worth its value in price; there are several inn's that charge about as much, if not far more, and they don't include breakfast. If you like having at least one meal taken care of before venturing out for the day and come back home to wonderfully accommodating folks who are attentive to your needs and asks, definitely consider staying here.

We were enthusiastically greeted and met at the door with smiles and fresh cookies and escorted to our room. The location is perfect across the street from the beach and such a lovely set up, inside and out. We wanted to play cards that night with our friends but there was not a room or parlor available so then staff moved a table and chairs into the foyer so we could enjoy. Our rooms also had a gas fireplace which was so cozy and keurigs and a nice mini bar were also in each room.

The King Suite was spacious, comfortable and perfect for our Anniversary weekend get-a-way. LOVED the balcony with ocean view! The layout of the suite very nice. Breakfast both mornings was delicious and the dining area decorated lovely. We dined inside one morning and on the patio the second. It was a most enjoyable, relaxing, stay. Beautiful facility!

There wasn't anything we did not like. The only thing we thought would have been nice would be on the balcony. The space is large enough to in addition to the bistro table, have two lounge chairs to more comfortably enjoy the space.

Absolutely perfect getaway bed and breakfast. Accommodations were exceptional, staff attentive and delightful. The breakfast is superb, the homemade nighttime cookies are delicious. A very charming bed and breakfast. It is now our go to place when we need a beach getaway. It is a short walk across the street to get to the beach, and a small, friendly town makes you feel so welcomed.

Seriously, nothing negative to write about. The greatest experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Sunset Inn in Cayucos. The breakfasts were great and the friendliness of the staff was awesome. Every evening fresh cookies were left in the room. The bed was comfortable and it was clean and inviting. We will come back for sure.

The only thing that was a bit strange was the very high sinks in the bathrooms. But not a big deal...

Everything was great! Delicious breakfast, warm cookies in the evening. Staff was very friendly and made us feel at home. Our room was amazing and very spacious. The rooms have a DVD player and a big selection of movies to borrow in the lobby. The beds were perfect! We will definitely be back.

The breakfast was delicious, the customer service from the staff was awesome, and the room was very comfortable and clean. They also deliver fresh baked cookies to your room every night :-). It's about a 7 min walk from the beach, and within walking distance of several restaurants and shops. I'd definitely stay here again!

The tub was a bit slippery and could have used one of those anti-slip pads. Other than that, very comfortable and clean room!

Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were clean and wonderful. Quiet too! And the breakfast was excellent. I especially like the reverse osmosis filter inside the room, which helped us from having to buy bottled water. Will definitely stay here again!

Bed linen and bathroom towels were luxurious. Room was super nice and didn’t feel hotel like.

Breakfast was pretty basic for the price and only few choices. Would have expected more healthy choices such as fresh fruit and yogurt , and fresh orange juice. I would have preferred just eggs to a bacon frittata but the only eggs option was the frittata.

Lovely warm place to stop in a sweet town. The ocean is just a few steps away, and there are many places to visit while you're there - try the brown butter cookies, check out the antiques, or go in to the larger towns for more. The hotel itself was welcoming, my room lovely, really appreciated the access and having a fireplace to break the chill in the evening. Oh! And the gluten free cookies in the evening, and breakfast menu were wonderful - thank you for the extra effort!
