We were only using this as an overnight stay for LAX access, but it exceeds that purpose. This is a beautifully appointed hotel, with large comfortable rooms. It has a lot of beautiful sitting areas, both inside and outside. It's decor is old European, which is a nice touch.

The restaurant was under renovation and the current system was very confusing. Despite the posted notices, we never could figure out what was actually available and when.

This hotel is in a perfect location! Staff was wonderful and Rooms are Amazing! Oh…can’t forget the comfy beds and feather pillows! ❤️

The hotel is 15 minutes' drive from LAX Airport and, right next to a busy highway but you don't hear any noise. We loved the vintage character features; swimming pool and jacuzzi are available and rarely crowded. You can call Uber and get to more distant scenic places like Manhattan Beach or Santa Monica (15-20 minutes). Otherwise, within 10 minutes' walk from affordable range of eateries (if you want a change from the highly rated Mexican restaurant within the hotel) and shopping centers like Ross, TJ Maxx, Walmart, CVC parmacy, etc. The fridge and microwave in the (very spacious) room give extra options for own b/fast. Rest assured, we'll book it again, when in LA.

The bed though comfy was too soft for my back.

The room was spacious and classy. I like the decorations, painting, and furniture.

I did not like the restaurant adjacent to hotel. I was told the restaurant was separate from the hotel. I had breakfast and the potatoes were very bland. The coffee was the worst I ever had. I returned it, because it was strong and very bitter. The representative stated she added a cinnamom stick to the coffee pot. I never heard of such a thing. She was not very friendly. I was the only customer beside one other lady. She stated we closed a 10:00 am and it was only 09:28 am. I asked her are you still going to serve me. She stated I just want to let you know. I felt she was rushing me to make up my mind to order. I requested for another cup of coffee and it was a little better. Her whole demeanor was not very pleasant. I ate half of my food and I left the restaurant.

Easy check-in with helpful helpful front desk staff. Late check-out approval was obtained and the extra cost was reasonable. The room was quiet despite being next to a major road and freeway. The pool area was tidy with plenty of seating areas for guests. Liked the microwave in the room.

Would have preferred complimentary car parking however the cost of this was reasonable. The parking app did not work with an international phone number. The aircon unit was noisy and had to be turned off at night for me to get any sleep.

Very beautiful hotel in the inside with historical European decor. The hotel is also very big and the rooms are very big and spacious.

Parking at the hotel was plentiful but came at an extra cost and it was expensive. In order to pay for parking, you had to install an app and pay via the app, which was buggy. It took me an hour to complete the payment. There’s no other space outside of the hotel parking where you can leave your car overnight, the area has only gas stations and big department stores. I also found a spider in my room 🥲

-Housekeeping is doing a great job by cleaning the rooms everyday and changing towels without me asking them to (yes in some hotels in the US, you have to ask for cleaning your room even if it’s supposed to be included in ABC hospitality 🫣). - Rooms are quiet and spacious. - Location

- No breakfast at the property. - No room service. - No water in the rooms. - No little store for water or essential items, you get to drive and get it from outside.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND- This Hotel i feel have the best staff at this location Manhattan Beach. I've always when going into Los Angeles select this location. Its the staff , Tim , the front desk when checking in.. also theirs another person and I'm sorry I can't remember her name, But she's the one that recommended the Brazilian food place down a mile away. These two people make it great. That being said everyone and hotel is clean and maintained.

Large size room and beautiful decor. Very quiet with wide hallways. Very well maintained. Once you step inside the hotel, you are transported back to another era. I found the surroundings soothing and comfortable.

The daily cost of parking. I just don’t understand why parking has to be an additional cost for residents. Many other Ayres hotels in Southern California do not charge for parking.

Rooms were very clean, beds incredibly comfy. Facilities were great, pool, terrace area and gym all really clean and lovely. Location super easy to get to beaches/shops and LAX. Shuttle ran to manhattan beach but had rental car

Only very small thing is that the curtains were not designed to close over the window. Only net curtains to shut out light
