We did a last minute booking on a roadtrip and appreciate they accommodated us. It was average level of clean - a little dated for the furniture but for a few hours of sleep it was ok. They did have a fridge and microwave which is always nice on the road. No elevator so if you have mobility issues and ground floor is taken, just fyi.

You can hear a lot - there was a phone ringing somewhere for hours during the night. Had to put on music to cover. Limited parking if they’re busy. Classic roadside motel for a roadtrip

Very convenient location. I would stay here agan for the value-for-the-money and the location. Excellent value for the money. The place is clean. The ice maker works. A working ice maker is often a sign of how well important items are maintained. The building was paited well, although the counter in the bathroom could have been repainted (was clean though). The shower-tub worked great with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. There's a park and walking and biking trail across the street that leads over toward the lighthouse and rocky beaches. There are many restaurants within close walking distance. The WiFi worked well and at a decent speed. It averaged about 25-35 Mbps. The room was equiped with a fridge, microwave oven, and coffee maker, but only two of these three items could be plugged in at once. I had to unplug the microwave to use the coffee maker. Then when I wanted to cook some breakfast sandwiches in the microwave, I had to unplug the coffee maker. When I plugged the coffee maker back in again it attempted to make more coffee. Kinda a minor pain. The owner was attentive to my requests and took care of anything I needed.

There is a shortage of electical plugs, but there's no a lot that can be done about this short of rewiring the room. Management did add a powerstrip next to the bed to help with this a bit. Perfect for our 2-night stays near the Redwood States and National Park. The room was perfectly clean - it was carpet but new one. Bed was comfy. I appreciated the table with 2 chairs (often in hotel, you only have one chair haha). There were a microwave and a fridge. No hairdyer in the room but maybe you can ask for one. Shower was good (not for tall people though, but it is pretty common that the showers are too low for you, tall people -- sorry!). Internet worked well. Not on the highway.

nothing really! Someone in the comments spoke about breakfast but I think they wrote their comment about another hotel as there is no breakfast at this one. There are a safeway and grocery outlet very close, so just grab what you need and eat in your room.

Convenient location in Crescent city California. I did have an ocean view though I could also see the bus stop, but it was great. I loved that it was walking distance to my favorite restaurant the Thai restaurant and also down by the water and if I had gotten up early enough, the lighthouse.

When we arrived all doors and windows were open to fresh air...faint pleasant smell of cleaning products and staff were busy. With covid still about...I believe this motel takes cleaning as a very serious priority. One of the cleanest motels I've ever stayed in...even though it's quite old.

A little noisy from traffic. Had to ask for blow dryer. Stairs a little aged...cement..I was careful to use handrails.

The location was great, just across the street from the beach. The staff was very friendly and even loaned us a deck of cards.

The chairs were too low for the table so we had to use the bed pillows folded in half to sit on. Also the tables felt a bit sticky. There was no fan or AC.

She was so friendly and nice. I felt comfortable as soon as I walked in the door! My kids and I roadtripped from CO and Crescent City was our very last stop on the trip before we made our way back home. The greeting and the cozy room were the perfect end to an awesome trip! Thank you!

The managers are great. Very attentive to your needs. Cleanliness is definitely a priority. The rooms smell ocean air fresh. It's an old building, things aren't perfect, but they do everything they can to make you comfortable.

The old stairs need an update. The salty coast air has eaten the wrought iron and the cement treads are patched. Safe, but could use a face-lift.

The hostel was very well located and very clean. It has a nice common room area for people to hang out and relax and the breakfast buffet was satisfactory. I'd recommend it for young and flexible travelers

The breakfast buffet was heavily sweet based and it would have been nice to have more savoury options such as some cheeses and nuts. That could also just be a personal preference
