The hotel is well located only 5 minutes to centre of Cognac. Has parking on site. The room is spacious as you can get all around your bed. The bed is comfortable, desk and wardrobe, full size mirror. Bathroom is reasonable with nice size shower. Air conditioning in room was excellent during the hot spell. Overall the hotel is very well decorated and has a swimming pool. Staff were pleasant and friendly. And breakfast was an excellent spread and value for money.

Unfortunately it no longer has a resturant on site. Which booking.com should include to inform guests. But the staff happily told us of all the close local restaurants. So not a problem.

Comfortable, clean, quiet, air conditioned room. Clean, modern bathroom. Mini fridge in room. Wide range of breakfast options. The first morning we asked for plant based milk which wasn't available, by the second morning they had sourced some. Nice outdoor seating area with pool. Parking spaces right outside the hotel. Walking distance to nearby bar/restaurant/supermarket. Feels secure - front door is locked outside of check in/out times.

Bar only open 3-8pm.

Absolutely one of the best places we have stayed during our travels to Spain/UK. A friendly greeting on arrival by the staff who were so helpful in advising on Restaurants around the area. The hotel is tastefully decorated creating a wonderful ambience. The bedroom was immaculately clean as was the bathroom The bed was so comfortable with the luxury of cotton linen sheets. Breakfast was a continental with plenty of everything Attention to detail is second to non and would definitely Highly recommend 😊

Good breakfast and a great mattress (my back says "thanks"). Personnel friendly and helpful if needed. Very good prices and parking super comfortable in the road next to it (with 6/7 dedicated stalls).

Only 2 aspects I didn't like are the toilet paper (please use something with better quality than that ultrathin grey paper you've there) and the slight smell of closed room after the a/c was left running the whole day: maybe it needs a new filter or an internal cleaning?

We love this place! Second stay and we booked for longer this time! Every care is taken to provide a comfortable stay. The rooms are really, really good. Very clean, and well resourced. Sébastien is a fabulous host and so welcoming. We enjoy the flat walk into Cognac. I love the pool! We will be back again!

We booked late the night before and wish we’d booked for more nights. A really, really comfortable stay in a fantastically run hotel. Sébastien runs the place superbly - he’s kind, considerate, works so hard (he does everything!) and he speaks excellent English! And allowed me to try my French! There is a really lovely pool in the garden and the pictures don’t do the place justice. As it is very clean, neat and all extra facilities well catered for (soaps, towels, AC etc ). We had a fab breakfast too! Parking spaces located right beside the hotel. Cognac is a 20-25 minute flat walk and we would recommend the Le CoQ D’or for good food and service.

Staff very welcoming and helpful. The pool was an extra surprise, very pleasant on a hot day. Breakfast was plentiful, with a choice of pastries, bread, cereals, bread, jam... The bed was large and very comfortable, and air conditioning also very welcoming. Convenient for the town, with a straightforward flat walk of less than a mile.

Beds and pillows super-comfortable. Excellent shower. Great breakfast. Excellent beer bar and decent burger-style restaurant in nearby modern centre 5 minutes walk away.

No complaints about the property. Just be aware it’s 20 minutes walk to Cognac old town and the pavements are partially in a poor state.

Our host, Sebastian looked after us very well. We enjoyed our Cognac aperitifs, the lovely little pool and over all had a great two day break on our way to Spain on our motorcycle. Lovely breakfast, everywhere spotless. We would definitely stay again.

The hotel is great after a long day's drive and has what you need. The cafe / bakery just down the road is good. Town centre is 20mins walk. Good sound insulation as the hotel is on quite a noisy road.

It looks a bit drab from the outside, so doesn't inspire much when you arrive! But that doesn't matter. Location is ideal for parking and sleeping but perhaps not for you if you want some evening entertainment.
