Giulia and her farther are wonderful hosts - very nice, helpful and welcoming Our room, with its balcony and clothes line, has a beautiful view of Modica, the hills, and overlooked the lovely garden below. Our room was very spacious, clean . The bed was comfortable. There were outlets on either side of the bed so we could plug in our CPAP machines. We enjoyed our breakfast of fresh fruit, homemade desserts and marmalade in the garden and in the kitchen on the rainy day. It was a special place, a bit of an oasis and a highlight of our trip. Secure free parking was available. Thank you for your hospitality and making us feel so welcome in your city.

We booked this last minute without much thought, but from the moment we arrived, we knew we’d made the right choice. Giulia greeted us so warmly and was immediately helpful in every way. Our room was perfect, with a charming little balcony overlooking the family garden, such a peaceful view. We felt instantly at home. And then came breakfast the next morning... My god. We were welcomed by Giorgio, Giulia’s father, who brought out trays of fresh, beautiful food, tomatoes picked straight from the garden, homemade desserts, marmalade… it was honestly a bite of paradise. Sitting in that garden each morning was something truly special and became one of the highlights of our trip. I also want to say that I fell ill on our second day and had to stay in bed. When Giorgio heard, he quietly began picking ingredients from his garden to make herbal teas and brought only food he thought would help me feel better. Such a kind, thoughtful man, his care was genuine and deeply appreciated. If you're visiting Modica, I honestly can’t recommend this place enough. Staying here will only enrich your experience. Staying in this house was truly one of the most beautiful experiences we’ve had during our travels. The house itself is charming, the garden is divine, and the owner and his daughter—who lovingly maintain the property and run the business as a family—left us speechless with their kindness. From the delicious breakfasts served each morning in the garden to their warm advice on what to visit, and even the relaxed, friendly conversations, we felt as though we had lived there our whole lives. Modica is an incredibly beautiful town, and its people are wonderful—but above all, it was our stay in this house that touched us most deeply. We wish to sincerely thank Giulia and her esteemed father for their wholehearted hospitality, and we truly hope to return one day and enjoy their home again in the same spirit, a place that radiates warmth and a true sense of home. Our stay at "Il Giardino dei Mandarini" was great! The host Giulia takes care of everything with dedication and passion, she was very helpful in accommodating our needs and provided some great recommendations to enjoy our time in Modica. Our room was very spacious and had a great view on their beautiful garden and the valley. The entire property was spotless clean and we really appreciated having access to shared kitchen facilities (and even a piano to play!). The only thing to keep in mind is that the B&B is located in the upper part of Modica. This wasn't an issue at all for us as we had a car and Giulia was helping other guests with their transport arrangements too.

Lovely big room with a large balcony and views over the garden and hillside beyond Modica. Absolutely stunning garden full of orange trees, ferns and flowering plants with an amazing aroma - particularly good late April/early May. Julia was very friendly and helpful and prepared a lovely (and very substantial) breakfast with homemade mandarin jams, fruit, omlette and pastries. Parking was fine on roads nearby. The nearby local wine bar was great for dinner and drinks.

Everything. This has been our second time in this hotel, it was just perfect. It’s a family owned homestay and they are really nice and helpful. The breakfast is a strong point. It’s close to Duomo. The room is clean, very nice furniture, terrace, little garden with mandarin, orange trees. This is really a little heaven in Sicily.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

We had a balcony overlooking the lovely garden that the property owner cared for and obviously took much pride in. Breakfast was very special, prepared by Giorgio (Yes, the gardener) himself, and included a variety of Sicilian dishes pus the usual cafe and cornetto. A common kitchen area provided a large fridge and any utensils we needed to eat on the balcony when we wanted. In a 3-week trip thru Italy and Sicily this was the nicest stay. One more thing - when some police action prevented us driving to the property Giulia drove to where we were and led us back personally.

The hosts were very helpful, The breakfast was delicious and plentiful in their lovely garden. A very nice balcony with a view. Good base to explore the area.

A few minor issues that you always get, but these were resolved quickly. Sometimes parking took a while but always found somewhere, if not the host offered their garage to use.

Giulia and her father are two amazing hosts. They know the territory very well and can give excellent recommendations. Always ready to help you when you need and let you try local food in their beautiful garden. Thank you again!

The pillows were a bit hard but we had 4 in the room and could change them for softer ones.

Lovely garden in which we had breakfast each morning. Julia and her father were excellent hosts. Room was impeccably clean and there was even a kitchen area in which you could prepare your own food.I always give very Frank reviews but there’s nothing I can criticise. Highly recommend a room with a view over the rear garden.

Nothing about the property . Only minor issue is that due to the location, parking nearby can be an issue. Suggest you take up the 5 euros a night offer in nearby garage
